Just thought I would start a new thread, seeing as we are perilously close to the 1000 posts cut off!

We have all started WW this January and so far so good, we are all losing. This is a really supportive group. Please feel free to join us and share your WW tips and any recipes that you may have. Smile

mrsrudy I really struggle on 26pp if I don't use 2-3 weeklies per day. :-(

SallyBear · 20/03/2013 12:29

I resisted the lure of Sainsburys Taste the difference lamb shanks (ready meal). The packet was in my hand, when I saw the traffic light food information. Mainly red. It went back on the shelf.... Note to self. Eat breakfast before food shopping.

Hello everyone- can I join you? I have lost nearly 5 stone with WW and just have the final stone to go. I am finding it so much tougher at the end!! Lost .5 yesterday and planning to do lots of exercise this week to boost loss.
Davina and running I think...

MrsRudyRudpoo · 20/03/2013 13:42

Wow Peachypips that is amazing! Shock how long has that taken? You've done so well! They say the last few pounds are always the hardest to lose! I've always lost more on the weeks where I've upped the exercise, hope that works for you too.

peachypips · 20/03/2013 16:23

Thank you! I did it in a year, then have had a year break, have not gained it back at all and now losing last stone. I think the exercise will do it!

CiderwithBuda · 20/03/2013 17:10

Wow peachypips. Well done. It's hard to find the motivation to stick to it after a while I think. Upping the exercise should def help.

Been quite good today. Had an appointment in town at 9.30 this morning so went for breakfast at a coffee shop and a read of my book beforehand to fill in time. Had a bagel with smoked salmon and low fat cream cheese. It wasn't great. Only ate about two-thirds of the actual bagel. Then went to M&S and stocked up on a few of their Fuller Longer ready meals. And had a Fuller Longer flatbread for lunch. It was only 7 points so treated myself to a scone! Have pointed it all and am doing ok. Bought myself a mini bottle of wine for tonight and some wasabi peas.

DH is still away so more tv tonight. Got a bit peed off last night as realised that somehow my Holby recordings had been messed up so I missed one and only had 25 mins of another! I will be having words! I think it will be a Criminal Minds marathon tonight.

AddictedtoCrunchies · 20/03/2013 17:28

Going for a run after a manic day. Sad

jazzcat28 · 20/03/2013 18:11

Wow 5st is a fab loss and so inspiring! I have another 2.5st to lose to get to my lightest ever weight (and healthy BMI) - feels like a lot to lose but if you can do 5 I can't really complain!

SallyBear · 20/03/2013 18:50

I think I've found my mojo. In tracking again. Three days so far so good! Smaller dress size - here I come!

DS4 found the WW App on my iPhone and was merrily deleting stuff!

backinaminute · 20/03/2013 19:56

5st is amazing, well done. I'm struggling a bit this week. I have no idea why, nothing has changed I guess I'm just a bit bored. I'm not fussed about eating loads of rubbish and I'm not going to stop, it's just I think I'm realising how far I've got left to go. And sometimes I just want to eat a shitload of chocolate and drink loads of wine and not think about it (see how I've ended up here).

I'm still buggering on with it. The idea of 5st in a year has perked me up too. I think it's probably just general fedupness. Two small dc and skint and I think maybe I'm blaming ww for it being dull when actually if I stopped I would just be fat and bored Grin

I would do some filling and healthy days but I do quite like tracking. It stops the absent minded picking which I might do under f&b eyes up ham in the fridge

Must stick at it..........

AddictedtoCrunchies · 20/03/2013 20:59

5.16 miles done in 52 mins. Knackered.com Blush

poorpaws · 20/03/2013 21:27

Amazing peachypips and such an inspiration.

I had the most wonderful afternoon at the old fashioned tea room with the friend I met at WW. She has lost 4.5 stones and ive lost 2.5 (was 3 stones but gained half over Christmas and yet to lose it again).

We really enjoyed ourselves until the end when the waiter said "my my, well done ladies, not many people manage to eat what you ordered, you have done well" Blush. So much for what WW has taught us.

Livinginorganisedchaos · 21/03/2013 11:59

Well done everyone on the losses, we are all heading in the right direction.

Well done addicted and Dora on the running. I was very impressed by your 5 mile run addicted. I am cautiously trying to up my mileage and am currently on 3.5 miles. I had bad SPD with both my pregnancies but it continued whilst I breast fed DS and I really struggled last year when I started running again. Part of my motivation to lose weight is to help my back and so far I have been okay with my runs.

Sally - am so pleased you have found your mojo. This thread wouldn't be the same without your delicious sounding recipes!

Livinginorganisedchaos · 21/03/2013 12:02

Just wanted to add that I have been having a fed up with pointing week but then was stopped at work by colleague who complimented me on my weight loss and apparently I was working a very yummy mummy look! It's amazing how a random compliment suddenly makes sticking to the diet much much easier!

onthemetro · 21/03/2013 12:59

Well done on the losses everyone, and a big bunch of Flowers and Wine for anyone exercising!

I've had an awful, awful week and I'm fully expecting to gain at my WI on Saturday. The cooker breaking, me feeling shite and DP's birthday have meant that I've been eating absolute trash and not tracking. I managed to reign it in a bit yesterday but Sunday-Wednesday morning was a write off. I'm drinking loads of water & green tea and eating lots of protein in a last ditch attempt to minimize the damage but I'm not sure that's going to offset an entire tub of Ben & Jerrys Blush

So glad to hear that you've found your mojo again Sally! And welcome to peachy, your loss is amaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaazing!

I didn't really like F&H when I tried it, but I think it's because I had previously used all my weeklies and was Angry at not being able to have my usual golden syrup on my porridge Grin

peachypips · 21/03/2013 13:08

Wow guys I don't think I've ever been so encouraged! Thank you for the nice words. You are very kind.
I am feeling really hungry this week. I'm sure my hunger fluctuates through the month- always seem hungrier the week after my period. Struggling to exercise in shite weather but MUST go out for a run tonight. Someone was telling me it boosts ur weight loss for the next day too.
I really struggle on just 26 points. Last year the bare minimum was 29 and that was so much easier! Anyone find 26 hard?
I am going to focus on just losing 3 pounds, then the next three etc. last year it really helped to take a stone at a time, so now 3 pounds at a time!!

peachypips · 21/03/2013 13:10

Oh- and just discovered choc fingers for a morning choc fix- i take them everywhere and eat just one when everyone else is eating cake at toddler groups. They are one point each...

jazzcat28 · 21/03/2013 13:16

Peachy if you are referring to cadburys choc fingers you can have 4 for 3pp (spot the biscuit addict) Blush

Someone complimented me at work today too and it really does help you focus. My DH is useless but I suppose he sees me every day so he might not notice the same change as someone who only sees me once a fortnight

Am looking forward to dinner tonight - fish fingers beans and potato waffles!

SallyBear · 21/03/2013 13:31

I must say that I'm dreading getting to 26pp! 33 was nice and easy, just felt that I ate fairly normally, now it's down to 32 and so on. Eek!

OP posts:
AddictedtoCrunchies · 21/03/2013 17:50

DH complimented me on Sunday and said I looked slimmer on my top belly ( that's the bit under your bosoms but above your belly button. I've got a long body so that bit really shows when I lose. still got a fat arse though

I've got 'Crunchies' amazing chuck in the oven' for tea tonight. Large roasting tin with cut up potatoes, onions and whole garlic cloves. Salt, pepper and a good splosh of Worcestershire sauce. Cook for 30 mins. Then add chicken thighs, two lemons cut in half and some cherry tomatoes. And anything else you fancy. Cook until chicken done and serve with beans. Not really a recipe but it's delicious. Wink

SallyBear · 21/03/2013 18:20

Like the sound of your Crunchie Chicken. I love roasted garlic. I've eaten unplanned slice of pizza, garlic bread and a mini magnum this evening. Oops. It may well be beans for tea, for me!

OP posts:
SallyBear · 21/03/2013 18:25

Shoot! My unplanned snacks mean that I have 4pp left for dinner! Might have to dip into my weeklies. Bummer.

OP posts:
peachypips · 21/03/2013 18:26

Evening! I've just had chicken in red wine with mash, carrots and roasted squash. Now tucking into a Freddo. Yum. 4 choc fingers for 3 points- whoop!

fledtoscotland · 21/03/2013 19:09

Please can someone boot me up the arse! Ate crap all day yesterday. Today been better but just had a chow mein (15pts).

So disappointed I only lost 1lb but I can't quite get back into the rhythm of it
