Just thought I would start a new thread, seeing as we are perilously close to the 1000 posts cut off!

We have all started WW this January and so far so good, we are all losing. This is a really supportive group. Please feel free to join us and share your WW tips and any recipes that you may have. Smile

Well done on today's losses. Walked 6k in the snow to collect DHs sodding car. Me and dogs both knackered.

Trying to be v good today as weigh in at 10am tomorrow

mrsv2 · 19/03/2013 12:36

well done everyone, we are all doing brilliantly. It is good to be on a long running thread, when i was pg with my DD i was on a pg thread, we moved to FB after the babies were born as it was easier to share photos etc and there are still 40 of us who regularly chat 2 years down the line. We have meet ups and do secret santa / birthday badger............i class them all as good friends.
A thread like this shows that you can lose weight what ever your targets/ lifestyle and background......sticking to it and sticking together makes it so much easier to share tips and inspiration.

well i have done a cheat weigh in this week as have weighed in today instead of tomorrow and im delighted to have STS. I have a tough week this week with family here, DDs birthday, wedding anniversary and a night out with the girls next Tuesday. So planning on weighing in next tuesday too before that night out. Im just going to go with the flow........the meals we are at home i will plan but i guess there will be lots of meals out and cake. Never mind and as my sister pointed out.....even if you put weight on you will still be lighter than when you started and you know what you have to do to lose it......

mrsv2 · 19/03/2013 12:41

Also my new tip for those that are at home and able to.......have fruit for breakfast early morning and then a 12oclock brunch of beans/spaghetti/egg on toast. I use less milk pp as im not having cereal and its leaving me with 16pp for the rest of the day which is a snack and decent evening meal.

AddictedtoCrunchies · 19/03/2013 12:47

Onthemetro - for you

__ now get back on the wagon my lovely. Smile

Well done on your losses Sally Outotlunch and Inquisitivemummy

I think the KitKat thing is because one finger is actually 1.7pp or something similar. So one finger is rounded up to 2pp, 2 fingers is rounded down to 3pp and 4 fingers is rounded down to 7pp. It all comes out in the wash. Apparently. Hmm

Mrsv that's great tha you're all mates on FB. Who knows, we may end up like that one day!

I've got nothing exciting to report today. ,boring friend emoticon>

CiderwithBuda · 19/03/2013 14:19

Well done on losses! I can add a 2lb loss! Happy with that. Although a bit frustrated as is is 2lb off the 4.5 I put on over the previous 3 weeks.

Crunchie is correct about the KitKat. WW bread is the same. 1 pp for one slice. Except it is actually a bit more so if you have 2 slices it is 3 points.

I did my second C25k day today. Did same as Sunday - 6 of the 8 runs. I went out straight after taking DS to school. Was back home and finished by 9.10. Very glad I did it then as it was nice and sunny. Been cloudy and rainy since.

And I agree that this is a great thread!

fledtoscotland · 19/03/2013 14:54

Cider - true for every WW bread except brown Danish which is 1pt for 1 slice, 2pts for 2 slices and 4pts for 3 slices Smile

CiderwithBuda · 19/03/2013 15:01

Fled - is that the malted danish? Interesting! As that is what it generally have! Been short changing myself!

fledtoscotland · 19/03/2013 15:39

No just the plain brown sliced Danish. Found out by accident as I bought it the other week as it had the longest date!

AddictedtoCrunchies · 19/03/2013 16:35

Well done Cider you're back in the game Wink

I'm doing steak for tea. The thin frying type with mushrooms and mozzarella on top and salad. What are you all having?

Doretaball · 19/03/2013 17:41

Pea and ham soup for me as I went out to lunch and had a glass of wine and a fish finger sandwich. Did manage to choose salad as my side rather than fries so am feeling pretty proud of myself.

Off out for a run tonight whenever DP gets home, not sure when that'll be. But if I get changed when I've put the girls to bed, I'll be ready and less likely to wimp out. Now I've said it on here, I have to go anyway!!

inquisitivemummy · 19/03/2013 17:47

I'm gettin stew for the second night running! I made it last night and we are round in DM tonight but feel like not having any altho i'm feeling to lazy to make myself something lol

CiderwithBuda · 19/03/2013 18:14

Thanks Crunchie. Look away now though!

Dominos here for tea. Blush. DS was given an award at school today - Conduct and Courtesy (they obv haven't seen him at home!) - very proud of him. He had a really hard year last year when we moved to UK from Hungary and he started his new school. Really hard year for us all. Much harder than we thought as he struggled so much with the new school. Anyway - this year he is like a different child. So far he has been voted form captain for a term, won the Sieze the Day award, an academic achievement award and now the Conduct and Courtesy award. So I let him choose dinner and he picked Dominos. Will go for a long walk tomorrow to make up for it!

SallyBear · 19/03/2013 18:31

Cider - you and I will have to spur each other on after our brief hiatus away from healthy living....
Chicken curry and rice here tonight. Can't quite bring myself to try cauliflower rice yet..... DH in Holland so I have sole control of the remote and the freedom to watch whatever crap I like! Certainly won't be football!

AddictedtoCrunchies · 19/03/2013 18:31

That's a great reason so fill your boots. Well done to 'halfacider'.Grin

jazzcat28 · 19/03/2013 18:35

Cider if it's any help every week I've had dominos or pizza hut I've lost weight! I usually have medium thin crust Hawaiian or Texas BBQ chicken. Dominos pizza in all sizes and flavours are on the app - I think it's 5pp a slice for what I usually have.

I'm having steak, ratatouille and a small portion of pasta for dinner. Breaking away from HD and having a Jamie Oliver ratatouille recipe

CiderwithBuda · 19/03/2013 18:57

Sally - we will indeed!

Honestly - try the cauli rice. It's good! DH away here too so am looking forward to 3 nights of my tv! DS will no doubt play far too much Playstation and watch his tv. We try to watch tv together as a family normally so we both enjoy DH being away occasionally! Sad but true!

Crunchie - Grin at halfacider! He is almost as tall as me and is only 11.

Jazzcat - that's encouraging. I had 3 chicken strippers, one slice of garlic pizza bread that didn't have any cheese on and half a chicken chimichurri pizza. Leftovers of my pizza went straight in bin in case I was tempted later. A bit of a waste but better than me eating it.

OhTheConfusion · 19/03/2013 19:14

Evening all. Well done on the loses!

I lost 1lb today. Would have liked more after STS last week but I am half way through a course of steroids so I was expecting a gain as I am all puffy Sad.
1.5lbs to go for my first stone so a good incentive to keep up the walking.

DH is away here too... we are quite the abandoned bunch Wink, he is back tomorrow night so I too am planning a night in front of the tv and I have even got a cheeky bag of malteasers in the fridge (All PP'd of course!!!).

Soup and pudding for dinner here tonight (and not even homemade Blush), 2 tubs of M&S fresh minestrone with bacon and I added 120g of cooked chicken making it 6pp a bowl but it was almost a stew! Then the kids had M&S sticky toffee apple sponge puddings (11pp each!!!!!) and I was so good and had a big bowl of strawberries and count on us choc mouse (2pp's Grin).
I made my take on cottage pie for dinner last night and it was lovely, I will try and put the recipe on the thread later.

poorpaws · 19/03/2013 22:33

Tomorrow I am going to a beautiful old fashioned tea room, where they serve sandwiches, cakes, cream teas etc on tiered china cake stands. Its like going back in time and everything is home made. I haven't been since December and it is one of my very favourite places. I am trying to be good tonight (difficult) but I doubt I can be good tomorrow. My weigh in is Friday so not much time to get back on track but I can't help but feel excited tonight.

OhTheConfusion · 19/03/2013 22:49

Sounds lovely Poorpaws, I say go and enjoy it within moderation. Sometimes denying yourself the treat defeats the purpose.

I just spoke to DH on the phone and asked if he had anything he wanted to do this weekend?!? His response, 'Nope, perhaps we could take the DC's to the farm park'. So he has either forgotten it is our wedding anniversary on Thurs and we always do something or romance is truly dead Hmm. Will report the presence or absence of a card and treat on Thursday!

SallyBear · 19/03/2013 23:37

Gosh we never celebrate our wedding anniversary. Probably too much of a life sentence!! 18 years this July.... Shock
I had a Tilda steam basmati pilau rice with my chicken bhuna, it was nice. Dinner pp at 11pp so ok really.

Just reporting back - did go on my run. Felt pretty awful for first 5 mins but I settled into it and managed 3.25miles. Felt great afterwards but body feels a bit battered now! Just waiting for DD2 to finish her feed then I can go back off to sleep.

Good luck to all those with WI in the morning.

Thechick · 20/03/2013 06:12

Hello all. Just saying hi!! This is my second time doing weight watchers. The first was just before my wedding and this time is because I'm not loosing my pregnancy weight. I have a 23 week old. I'm bf so have loads of points and have been doing it for about 5/6 weeks and have lost about 10lb but my next weigh in is Saturday. I have 1 more stone to lose to get to my pre preg weight and another stone after that to get to my ideal, so I'm just taking it slowly and not putting too much pressure on myself.
I have a bit of a sweet tooth and I find that cadburys highlights 1 pt, tinned pineapple 0pt, sugerfree jelly 0pt or ww yogurt 1pt, usually does the job. Sorry if I'm repeating what someone else has said.

mrsv2 · 20/03/2013 08:58

Had a huge calorie laden Gurkha curry for our anniversary last night. I still feel full this morning....... It was our 3rd so romance still here if you count garlic breath :-)
We can't remember what we did last year but the year before ( our 1st) DH took me to a restaurant with rooms where we had the tasting menu, 7 courses of heaven. Tell we like food in our household. We blame that meal on being the cause of my water breaking and DD arriving at 29weeks, I was so full there was no space for her :-)

MrsRudyRudpoo · 20/03/2013 09:50

Hi everyone.
Glad to see youre all still here, im going to have to get the HD book, these recipes you all talk about sound amazing!
So pleased to have lost 2.5 lbs at W.I last night, I had two pieces of chocolate birthday cake and a dominoes pizza on Saturday! I love WW!
Finding it slightly harder to stick to now that my points have dropped, I'm on 31, god knows how some of you cope on 26!
I bought a frozen WW lasagne ages ago and as i have nothing else in for tea I'm going to brave it! Anyone know how many pro points in horse meat? Grin

fledtoscotland · 20/03/2013 10:21

Weigh in this morning and lost 1lbs and hitting 10% target

Somehow disappointed as wanted to get back to loosing 2lbs a week :(
