Just thought I would start a new thread, seeing as we are perilously close to the 1000 posts cut off!

We have all started WW this January and so far so good, we are all losing. This is a really supportive group. Please feel free to join us and share your WW tips and any recipes that you may have. Smile

My 6month old is 20lb and he's a right lump. 20lb is amazing, well done

SallyBear · 18/03/2013 09:38

Morning all, just under 1lb off this week bringing me to 1st 3lb so far. (Was pleasantly surprised as i consumed most of my weeklies over the weekend!).
Am really enjoying all the fruit at the moment - melon, pineapple and blueberries for breakfast! We're also eating loads of fish and little meat - surprised I'm managing as i am a complete carnivore! Would love to have a blood test actually (bizarre but true) as I'm sure my cholesterol will be majorly lower than it ever has been previously! It's probably about time i did my measurements again to see what's improved there (but my "small" belt has run out of holes so something definitely improving!).

Jazzcat and Fledto - HD chicken jalfrezi and you want to add MORE chillies? Seriously? Maybe it's down to the strength used, but we found the 6 we put in (per recipe) BLEW OUR HEADS OFF ! (just checked recipe and pretty sure we used red not green if that makes a difference). Mind you, apart from the heat we loved it and are doing it again this weekend for friends.

Whoever was talking (4 pages back) about exercise, I've been saying from the start (9 weeks ago) that i need to up it! Consists at the moment of walking the dog daily. Need to motivate myself to restart 30 day shred, and then to build up running again as once i get going, i do enjoy it! Hoping that the weight loss will ensure running easier and less injury.

Need to start planning Easter (food-wise), as will be entertaining a lot.

flatmouse · 18/03/2013 11:32

Well done doreta - fab loss!

onthemetro · 18/03/2013 12:24

Well done on the losses everyone, you all continue to be a great inspiration Smile

Well I didn't cave and get a takeaway over the weekend despite the lack of oven...have stocked up on baked potatoes and Oats So Simple so we can use the microwave. It's an electric hob so DP thinks it might've shorted...we're waiting for the estate agents to send someone out to look at it now. Shame as we'd just bought rather expensive extra lean mince from the butchers, which we've frozen. But I was sooo looking forward to a nice spaghetti bolognese!

flatmouse · 18/03/2013 13:19

Anyone tried the HD meatballs? any reviews/comments/improvements? TIA ! (Wondering if we need a separate HD thread starting with the entire book pointed as some marvelous person did somewhere in this thread)

fledtoscotland · 18/03/2013 13:34

Excellent idea to point the HD book - and suggest any amendments.

Just dropped DHs car up at garage (whole other thread in chat) and walked back earning myself 6 pro points. Feeling v self righteous now having had my 0pts carrot & coriander soup with WW bread and an apple. Only 1lb away from 10% but I want a 2lb loss this week

backinaminute · 18/03/2013 14:48

Some fab losses. I did the HD meatballs and they were fab. In fact I've just got some mince out the freezer to make them for tea tomorrow. Ds1 loves them.

I've just rediscovered chocolate philidelphia (2pp per 30g). Any ideas on what I could have it with. Just had it on 2 fruit ryvitas but came to 5pp and I'm not sure it beats a chocolate bar! Maybe I could smear it on some apple slices but doesn't sound too exciting.

flatmouse · 18/03/2013 15:27

Choccy philly backinaminute don't be silly!! Wink Can honestly say i've never tried it - happy with my extra light garlic and herb philly.

Wondering does choccy philly work like normal philly in that you can put it over say pasta and it makes a sauce? you could heat up some banana and mix it in with that to be saucy?

Do you use beef or pork or mixture for meatballs?

fledtoscotland · 18/03/2013 15:37

I've never been keen on choc philly - somehow tastes wrong. Plus morrisons nume garlic & herb soft cheese is only 1pt

Discovered dairylea triangles in blue cheese flavour today (1pt) and am now an addict!

onthemetro · 18/03/2013 15:43

I love chocolate Philly! I used to spread it on sweet crispbreads or ladyfingers...sooo good.

I'm feeling really fat and frumpy today, and I don't know why but its making me feel rubbish Sad

flatmouse · 18/03/2013 15:47

fledto WHERE????? Dairylea triangles are so yum, can only imagine blue flavour....

onthemetro :( sorry you feel that way, try to stay positive! Focus on what you've achieved so far.

fledtoscotland · 18/03/2013 16:19

Flatmouse - morrisons had them for £1 last Thursday. Going to stock up this week as they are bloody gorgeous Smile

fledtoscotland · 18/03/2013 16:21

Pressed send too quickly.

Never seen them before and thought id try them for lunch today. Can't believe they've been sitting in my fridge for 4 days without me demolishing them

CiderwithBuda · 18/03/2013 16:31

I have choccy Philly on oatcakes with some sliced banana. I buy the mini pots which I think are two points. I usually have half a pot with two oatcakes so 3 pp in total. Nice with a cuppa after getting DS from school.

Fled- liking the sound of blue cheese dairy lea! Must check them out.

Great losses dancer, doreta and flat mouse.

Onthemetro - I know the feeling! I sometimes notice that when I start to lose I lose everywhere but around my middle and it makes me feel bigger. Odd. It seems to balance out eventually but I def feel fat and frumpy at those times.

Trying to decide what to have for dinner. Supposed to be going to a Pampered Chef party so DH planned to do a fry-up for him and DS forgetting I would still need to eat. Have now decided not to go to party but need to think of dinner. I have one of those WW sachets of chilli con carne which I could have with some brown rice.

WW weigh in for me tomorrow. Planning on doing my second C25k session after I take DS to school and then go to WW. Then to Tonacise.

backinaminute · 18/03/2013 16:53

Oatcakes would work, I was thinking about banana so will give it a go. It's awesome stuff. Like cheesecake in a pot.

I think I used pork mince for the meatballs. That's what I've got out for tomorrow. I don't think I mixed it because it was basically one pack of mince.

I know this is rubbish but I've never stuck to a diet this long. I don't think I would have done if it wasn't for this thread. I find it really keeps me on track. I've never been on a long running thread either, it's a whole new world Grin

AddictedtoCrunchies · 18/03/2013 18:48

Backinaminute ditto on both counts. I almost feel like I can't let you all down so can't cheat.

I have a 10k race on Sunday which I'm a bit nervous about. Don't think I'll get a very good time but hopefully it won't be too bad. Entered the race for life today for June plus a half marathon in September and one in October. Nice to have something to aim for Hmm

Doretaball · 18/03/2013 22:22

I signed up for the race for life too, just a 5k one at the moment. Not quite ready for a 10k yet!
Sleep tight.

poorpaws · 18/03/2013 22:28

Choc philly is great in porridge and in custard (with melted mars bar) with melted ww choc bar, for a real chocolate treat. I've had to stop buying it because I use so much.

Being the chocoholic of the group can anyone explain the kitkat thing to me please:

1 finger 2ppts
2 fingers 3ppts
4 fingers 7ppts

so if I have a four separate one fingers its 8 ppts
2 x 2 fingers its 6ppts
or 4 fingers 7ppts

Im confused (or stooopid)

poorpaws · 18/03/2013 22:29

oops not learned the strike out words thing yet

inquisitivemummy · 18/03/2013 22:43

SallyBear · 19/03/2013 09:33

inquisitivemummy · 19/03/2013 09:55

Well done sallybear! I counted all week even at the weekend which wasnt like me but seeing the result of keepin track has gave me a boot in the bum an im gonna keep doin it!

onthemetro · 19/03/2013 10:17

Well done Sally!

I need a Crunchie line please Sad I had an awful day yesterday, I was so tired that I felt ill and as a result I totally screwed up the dinner I had planned (creamy salmon & pasta) so we ordered a Chinese. Aaargh! It was delicious but I didn't keep to my points at all and I'm very disappointed with myself.

On the upside that's the first time we've ordered a takeaway since September, which is good going for us as before that it was a lot more frequent.

Going for a long walk into town today, it's DPs birthday tomorrow and I need to get a card and a present Smile

Hope you all have a good day x

outtolunchagain · 19/03/2013 10:35

Another pound off, slow but sure , would have liked two but did have a couple of difficult days at the weekend .

Well done everyone elseGrin
