Just thought I would start a new thread, seeing as we are perilously close to the 1000 posts cut off!

We have all started WW this January and so far so good, we are all losing. This is a really supportive group. Please feel free to join us and share your WW tips and any recipes that you may have. Smile

mama04, it's time to leave the b@st@rd Wink. Seriously though, hope the DC are OK. Maybe DH is feeling threatened by you wanting to change? He's being a muppet though and you need to sort him out - very difficult to loose weight without the support of those around, which is why this thread is so good (although maybe you're a really stubborn, contrary person and he's playing on that to help you?)

Lovely weekend food wise (ignoring work stress), I can recommend a pudding recipe - spiced glazed pineapple with cinnamon fromage frais - worked out at 2pp and was delish - will try to put it on recipe thread later. Pork and crackling yummy too - even had two crackawheat with v thin layer of castello cheese on - YUM!.

WI this morning and i've lost 2.4lbs - I'M IN THE 12's !!!! YEY Very excited by this. Hard slog now to get to the 11's (which has been unheard of and unseen for at least 20 yrs!). The bad news is that i've now dropped to 27pp a day, but following the rule of using most of weeklies that should be fine.

mrsv2 · 11/03/2013 09:22

Day5 of eating like a pig and ill actually be glad to get back to pointing...... I feel bloated and after a huge 3 course meal and wine I actually felt sick yesterday as was sooooo full of delicious but stodgy food. Have hardly had any fruit it veg in days.
Well Done everybody, you are doing amazing

NoWayNoHow · 11/03/2013 09:31

Morning all - joining in with the "too much over the weekend" brigade!WI was Friday, and I already only have 1 weekly pp left!!

Going to have to be super, super good this week, so hoping that HD 0pp golden veg soup will keep me on track.

Good luck everyone on getting back on the WW Wagon!! It's tricky!!

Doretaball · 11/03/2013 09:46

Hope all well this morning and those who overindulged are feeling a bit better this morning. I tucked into a delish roast and chocolately pud but still managed to weigh in at 1.5lb less! I also reached my 10%.

I think that my attitude to food is changing and when I think I've been bad, I haven't been anywhere near as bad as I used to be. In my roast, I put lots of veg and meat on plate first then just had a small amount of the roast spuds, crackling, roast parsnips etc.

Anyone else noticing changes like this?

I do still seem to be eating quite a lot. I'm sure the breastfeeding is really helping. My 5m old is ebf and over 19lb so I must be producing top fat/calorie milk. Am slightly worried about reducing the breastfeeding when she starts weaning. Maybe I'll just keep breastfeeding forever, kids don't need "real" food do they!!

Here's to a good week for us all.

OhTheConfusion · 11/03/2013 10:10

Flying visit... have put two new recipes on the THREAD... yummy 5pp cheat pavlova and 0pp spiced butternut squash soup.

mama04 · 11/03/2013 10:33

Flatmouse he just brought in a Macdonalds breakfast!!!! Shock I think I am going to have to leave to walk the dog before I end up doing a 20 year stretch for murder? Grin
Well done everyone for getting back on this, it's 20 days until Easter I'm hoping that I can lose 2lb a week until then anyone up 4 the challenge? Smile X

mama04 · 11/03/2013 10:33

Confusion pavlova sounds good! I'm gonna try that tonight Grin thank you Thanks x

backinaminute · 11/03/2013 10:54

Well done Doret, we sound similar. I hit my 10% last week and breastfeeding my chunk of a 3 month old ds2 (seems he takes after his mum in the physique department Grin)

I figure there are 2 options. Either breastfeed them forever or express 10 times a day for the rest of my life.....

People will ask if I have strong convictions about extended breastfeeding and I will say 'no, I am just vain' (and a bit greedy) GrinGrin

With ds1 I was all excited about weaning and introducing solids - this time not so much......

AddictedtoCrunchies · 11/03/2013 13:12

Flatmouse - well done being in the 12's. I'm just hoping for the 13's this week!

Mama - he's being an idiot and I'm sorry you've got this to put up with. All I can suggest is the MN mantra of 'smile and nod' Smile Smile

I've got to do something quite scary tonight. I'm moving sports club this summer and they've asked me to play in a friendly for them tonight. The exercise will be great but I'm nervous as I've not been playing at that level for a while. Let's hope I've still got it! Wink

fledtoscotland · 11/03/2013 13:26

Well done everyone. I'm very much back on track after yesterday. Out building snowmen plus walking back and forward to school twice.

Still v constipated ?? - don't remember that from diets before

OhTheConfusion · 11/03/2013 13:40

Mama, does your DH feel a bit insecure about your dieting? I would just smile, nod and ignore. I have certainly not put everyone on a diet and I know I want to be slim more than I want to share a box of chocs with them on a Saturday night.

Well done 10%'s... I have some way to go before I reach that! Wink

You can do it crunchie!

What are you eating fledto? Are you drinking water?

outtolunchagain · 11/03/2013 13:44

Also had too much over WE but determined to get back on track .Lots if salad and chicken for lunch . Well done to everyone on losses . WI for me tomorrow

fledtoscotland · 11/03/2013 13:47

OTC - drinking at least 2l of water a day plus green tea. I think that having less fat in my diet is contributing to it as I'm eating branflakes at breakfast, loads of fruit and veg, wholemeal bread, plus laxatives. I've always drunk loads of water as have a job on the phone and I find my voice goes if I don't drink enough so it's become a habit even on my days off

I'm on 33pts now (although ate 43 yesterday). It's only been like this for the last 10days or so since my points dropped for the 3rd time.

mama04 · 11/03/2013 13:50

I've just sat him down and explained how I feel, his response was he loved my big boobs and hips Shock I said I like them to but my arse, thighs, tummy, back and arms are a problem! He said he'll support me and is currently reading through Hd book, I've heard all the oohs and aahs so I think this may be a turning point? Grin
He is 6"4' 34inch waist and hasn't gained a pound in the last 10yrs so I know why he isn't getting it Smile lucky b@st@rd!

Can I also ask how many activity points everyone earns as I feel like I don't know where to begin with this? Cheers girlies Grin x

mama04 · 11/03/2013 13:52

Outtolunch it's my Wi tomorrow to,do u go to a meeting or do u do it at home? Good luck Thanks

outtolunchagain · 11/03/2013 13:54

At meeting , as home is hopeless for me . What about you ?

By the way I can recommend the chicken one pot that I was making higher up the thread , except that dh was still ravenous ( very annoying tall slim personGrin)

mama04 · 11/03/2013 14:01

I'm doing it at home Hmm as Dc are all not well and there is no way I can get out 2moroBlush

I looked at the chicken one looks yummy! I quite fancy the paella but Dh is now wanting to work our way through the book! Grin

My Dsis has just told me she uses aqua-ban and pro plus? Do any of you use/recommend any products like these? She never seems to put on weight so it's making me wonder? Blush

OhTheConfusion · 11/03/2013 14:17

I envy the self control of those who weigh in at home... I need the public shaming Wink.

Fledto, I really don't know then, sorry. My last try would be hot water and lemon... then ask the doc!

Mama, pro plus is just caffine in tablet form... perhaps she takes these for energy instead of eating Confused. I would rather go slow and steady than be reliant on tablets to lose weight and then have to keep taking them to maintain if that makes sense?

mama04 · 11/03/2013 14:39

Yeah I think I drink more than enough caffeine as it is! Just wondered if these aqua ban pills are of any use or would I be as well just drinking more water? Grin

My old granny told me once that if you are having problems going to the loo eat a 1/4 bar of pears soap Shock don't think I fancy that though tbh! X

AddictedtoCrunchies · 11/03/2013 17:32

Fled have you tried lactulose? Known as 'poo medicine' in our house Wink

Sending you movement vibes. Wink

outtolunchagain · 11/03/2013 17:36

Are you eating too many bananas they can definitely bung you up , personally I am a bit of an All Bran fan here

jazzcat28 · 11/03/2013 17:45

I find diet coke helps ''movement" as well as many cups of tea with sweetener

Looking forward to steak (7pp), 0pp ratatouille and a portion of pasta/rice for dinner tonight!

OhTheConfusion · 11/03/2013 17:50

Apple juice helps me... but it has pp's Sad.

I am seriously starving today... can someone come and hide the jaffa cakes please?!?

onthemetro · 11/03/2013 18:17

I made this yesterday: www.skinnytaste.com/2013/02/crock-pot-sesame-honey-chicken.html It worked out as 5pp per portion.
Had it with rice yesterday, going to have it either with rice noodles or a tortilla wrap tonight. Delicious Smile

Good luck for tonight, Crunchie! That's so great that they've asked you! Grin
Mama I hope your DH starts being a little more supportive, I'm sure he just needs some time to get used to it. And he'll love the results I bet Wink
I hate ProPlus, I used to take it all the time when I was 17/18, thinking it gave me an extra 'boost' but it just made my heart beat out of my chest! Awful stuff, it makes me feel so ill.

confusion I need the public shaming too Grin Also there's a really nice lady at my meeting who always compliments me, it's nice to hear that and my friends/DP see me too often to notice my weight loss, if that makes sense!

jazzcat your dinner sounds lovely! What time shall I come round? Grin

I bought some liquorice tea today, it is bloody lovely and a nice sweet drink to have when you're craving something sweet. I definitely recommend it (Though apparently it's not recommended if you have high blood pressure!)

jazzcat28 · 11/03/2013 19:26

oh ladies my dinner was LUSH and I even spent some weeklies on some wine Grin

now having an agonising debate in my own head as to whether to sacrifice more weeklies on a WW pudding or be a saint and settle for a mug of options hot choc

I have 43 weeklies to last until Friday night. Decisions decisions...

confusion I'm with you - I need not only the public shaming but also the fact I can't change the scales by standing nekkid in the bathroom at home at various points in the day and taking the lowest measurement of the lot Grin
