Just thought I would start a new thread, seeing as we are perilously close to the 1000 posts cut off!

We have all started WW this January and so far so good, we are all losing. This is a really supportive group. Please feel free to join us and share your WW tips and any recipes that you may have. Smile

I daren't even tell you what I've eaten the last 2 days..... I reckon at least 70pp per day and still another few days of it. May be back where I started by the end of this week. But how good does it all taste.

fledtoscotland · 09/03/2013 14:28

Mrsv2 - weirdly my tastebuds have changed and I'm dreading a creamy pudding. Will quite happily tuck into the meat and veg but might pass on afters. Feel bad as DH has really made an effort and even got my chocolate coated raspberries as he thought they would be healthy. Sodding 2pts each Shock

SallyBear · 09/03/2013 14:43

OT. This made me laugh my head off. Apologies to any cat lovers out there.... how to give your cat a pill

Ha Sally!

Thanks FledtoScotland, I would never have lost a 1/3 of that if it wasn't for this thread Grin. I am finding (TMI ALERT) quite the opposite as I have branflakes most mornings, brown bread, rice, pasta etc and lost of fruit and veg. Drink more water if you can too.

Mama, the lean lamb hotpot was amazing and fed five of us easily with greens. Also the crispy oven chicken is a great one for kids.

DH and I were child free today so we walked to the next town for a coffee then back again (10 mile round trip)... now I need to face Sainsburys. #norestforthewicked!!!

mama04 · 09/03/2013 16:47

Thanks all Smile I'm trying the Spanish chicken but let's just say in advance I'm not the best chef in the world? My Dc think the fire alarm is the dinner bell! Wink Wish me luck! And as for the tmi question I'm felling a bit ahem... Bunged up 2! Confused X

mama04 · 09/03/2013 23:41

Ok I have calmed down slightly so with vodka in hand I can tell you all I made Spanish chicken, it looked absolutely delish, then Dh walked in with Dc and a chippy Shock

His reasons were "they" all feel its not fair making them eat "diet" food Confused was I being insane to literally pick up the dogs lead and go out for 5hrs to calm down? Blush
Tbh I've came to the decision if they don't want to eat what I'm cooking then he can cook for them! It's gonna be hard though coz I know he'll make loads of really lush creamy dins Angry b@st@rd!!! X
For goodness sake this is my first week! What will he be like next month? Sad X

cmm · 09/03/2013 23:48

Hi everyone, new to your thread! Just been reading your posts and thought if check in and see if you guys can offer any inspiration/motivation!
Doing ww online, been doing this for about 15 months now, well on off ish! Got a toddler who is 21 months. Breastfed till 4 months ago. Since jan 2012 have lost about three stone. Since jan 2013 have lost nearly 1/2 stone but finding it hard last couple of weeks and aren't counting properly and feeling out of control and unmotivated! I have had a bad bug, kids poorly, quite run down and now seem to be rewarding myself with a few more treats and finding it difficult to get back counting and on track! Don't want to put on. Being bridesmaid in August and really need to lose another 1/2 stone to get back to near my pre baby weight! Any ideas on how I can kick start things?! I use online for tracking but not really up with the plans etc really. Any advice gratefully received!! Thanks! X

mama04 · 10/03/2013 02:53

Hi ccm Grin I'm doing the online ww to Shock think the app is a bit pants though.
Congrats on ur bridesmaid duties, have u guys had the hen night yet? Wink August is at least 5 months of yet hun so even a .5 to 1lb loss a week is gonna be huge? Grin
I've only just joined Mn, but this thread is a godsend Smile the girls in here are a huge support and a real gr8 bunch Grin good luck ccm with u all the way x

AddictedtoCrunchies · 10/03/2013 08:11

Mama that is just rubbish. Sad. How old are DC? Think I'd have to sit DH down and -tell him he's being an unsupportive twat-- explain what this means to you and that you need his help. Tell him it's not diet food, it's good, sensible healthy food for you and your family. Have some Thanks and Brew and don't let his idiotic actions put you off.

Welcome newbies. The key to success is to track track track. The app isn't great but it does the job. Track everything and if you don't have the points for it, don't eat it. There's some great inspiration on this thread and most of us love the Hairy Dieters (HD). Exercise is also a must not just to earn activity points but for the sense of achievement it gives.

Some of us are doing a mini challenge to be 12st 7 by 1 July. Don't know if that fits your circumstances but you're welcome to join. We're just following the plan with that target in mind. Smile

AddictedtoCrunchies · 10/03/2013 08:11

Strike out fail. Pesky phone.

bigTillyMint · 10/03/2013 10:04

Well STS this week. At least it's not a gain!

DS is making sushi for my Mother's Day tea... will have to see how much they work out at!

mama04 · 10/03/2013 11:23

Thanks crunchie Smile Dc are 9, 7, 2 & 9mnths the little ones eat anything but the older two have adopted Dhs fear of anything green or healthy Hmm

But its Hd meatballs for dinner tonight and they all seem interested atm Wink

Hope you all have a wonderful Mother's Day and remember to count all the bloody chocolate we have received ThanksThanksThanks x

mama04 · 10/03/2013 11:28

Well done Tilly on the WI Thanks

Sushi sounds yum and is it this week you have your dinner party? Are you cooking? I'm having ppl round on Saturday but haven't a clue what to make Shock (I usually buy in from m&s then pretend I've made it!!! Confused) x

fledtoscotland · 10/03/2013 11:47

Happy Mother's Day to you all.

Sort of sabotaged today by hacking chocs in bed with the boys, DH cooking a very nice (but fattening) lunch with a key lime pie for pudding. Feel bad for him as he bought an m&s veg pack but the suede mash has got cream & butter in it!

Not even going to try to count today but I haven't touched any of my 49pts this week so hopefully that will cover it.

Going back to the tmi bit - v constipated despite bisocodyl Blush. Am drinking at least 2l of water a day, eating brown bread and branflakes for breakfast. Not sure what else to do Confused

OhTheConfusion · 10/03/2013 12:19

Mama I would have been so Angry too! I am lucky that DH and the kids have just joined in with the meals I can eat. I honestly wouldn't call any of it diet food and the only person having skimmed milk, low fat cheddar etc is me. They all still have normal portions of pud etc, I have a smaller portion or something else.

Tilly, STS is better than a gain! Also someimes you don't see the results of your hard work until the following week... keep going!

FledtoScotland, if you have the app or calculator work it out and I bet you can do it using your weeklies and dailies. I find if I know what I have had it removes the fear of the unknown!

The DC's got me tickets for the cinema (to a film they fancy!), marks and sparks 2pp popcorn, diet iron bru and a pk of curlywurlies to eat and drink when we go! Bless their cotton socks Smile.

onthemetro · 10/03/2013 12:42

Aw Mama that sounds awful, I'm sure if you keep making delicious WW/HD meals they'll soon see its not 'diet food', and will want what you're having. And then you can say 'nope, it is diet food after all' Grin
But I can see how that wouldn't be practical with DC, so I agree that you need to have a serious talk with DH.

Happy Mother's Day to all the mothers! I live 300ish miles away from my mum so have just sent her a card, would love to be taking her out for lunch or something...but she's working anyway so even if I was closer I wouldn't be able to.

I had an Easter egg last night BlushBlush it was a big kinder surprise and it was sooo good. Felt a bit sick afterwards though. 20pp, so have made a big dent into my weeklies already. Oops.

onthemetro · 10/03/2013 12:43

Well done Tilly a STS is better than a gain Thanks
And Confusion that is sooo sweet! Have a great time!

bigTillyMint · 10/03/2013 12:55

Thanks! Dinner party is round at friends, so will be a mare in terms of pointing - food and huuuge amounts of alcohol...

Metro, 20pp on a chocolate eggShockEnvy!

fledtoscotland · 10/03/2013 12:59

I've tracked it using the calculator and inc pudding, it's 31pts. Will have 2pts left but can dip into my 49pts for a sandwich at work. Not too bad BlushBlushBlushBlush

OhTheConfusion · 10/03/2013 13:10

See Feldto, how much better do you feel about it already! Weeklies are there to be eaten too Smile.

Matro, 20pp on an egg... bet it was worth it! Wink.

onthemetro · 10/03/2013 16:48

It was delicious, but it's made me just want to eat loads. Just been to town with DP and he had to stop me from rushing into McDonalds on the way home, I could reaaaaally go for a McChicken sandwich right about now...

But I came home for 0pp soup instead

AddictedtoCrunchies · 10/03/2013 17:11

We're going for a meal tonight and I've chosen and pointed my food which has taken me to -6 for the week and weigh in is Friday. Good job I've got exercise planned every day this week Shock

OhTheConfusion · 10/03/2013 17:42

Metro, we all have days like those... I just ate a packed to McCoys crisps (5 empty pp's).

Crunchie, it's mothers day... you are allowed!

Well I am making mothers day dinner (to control the pp's Blush). We are having thyme and lemon roast chicken (3pp for 90g), boulangere potatoes (4pp for 115g) and green beans (0pp!) followed by my own hashed together strawberry and white choc pavlova (5pp for 1/5th). I am seriously looking forward to pudding!!! Would post recipe but I have lost the thread?!?

Has anyone else had crazy weather today? We have had sun, wind, snow, gales, rain, snow, sun, hail and now more snow! Confused.

GingerLemonTea · 10/03/2013 22:39

Total blowout of a weekend.
Feel bloated & like I've put all 12 pounds back on.
Need to start afresh tomorrow.

mama04 · 11/03/2013 01:34

My Dc have been ill all night my Dh has suggested it was my meatballs Angry even though both of us are ok?

Ginger I know how u feel I've just polished of a bottle of Shiraz! Well there goes the weeklies! Wine must be good tomorrow as Wi on Tuesday and I'm dreading it Shock

Hope you've all had a lovely Mother's Day Thanks x
