Just thought I would start a new thread, seeing as we are perilously close to the 1000 posts cut off!

We have all started WW this January and so far so good, we are all losing. This is a really supportive group. Please feel free to join us and share your WW tips and any recipes that you may have. Smile

Sorry, make that 10.5lbs still to go - have only lost 8.5 lbs in 10 weeks so not even a lb a week.

OhTheConfusion · 08/03/2013 08:46

FledtoScotland, no Blushing allowed, you are doing really well! I dream of being 5'10" but until I am a bit thinner heels really hurt (probably putting all that weight onto such a small heel!).

Noway, remember smaller amounts are harder to lose. You have LOST 8.5lbs, not gained them. This is 1lb of FAT. Hang on in there, you will be a skinny minnie for the summer and so glad you did.

fledtoscotland · 08/03/2013 09:24

Thanks ohtheconfusion - trying to vary my diet but obsessing about food this week which is making it hard. Lots going on a work - relocation - so even though I'm doing the same job it's still a new office/new colleagues etc. would normally comfort eat.

I'm mortified at my weight and that I let myself get to an obese state. As a nurse I spend a lot of time promoting good health but can't do it myself. Am being positive that my BMI is now 29.9 so officially only overweight Grin

OhTheConfusion · 08/03/2013 09:55

FledtoScotland, it is a really hard cycle to break. I know how much better I feel and how badly I want to lose weight but the minute I have a stress filled day I reach for a cookie or chocolate Blush I have just checked my BMI and I am officially obese Blush but it has dropped from 34 to 32 so heading in the right direction I guess.

Not sure where in Scotland (or if you have fled somewhere else now!) you are but there are a good few diet friendly places to eat in Glasgow.

flatmouse · 08/03/2013 10:05

Some fab weight losses - and Noway - it is frustrating but keep going - next week might be a big loss! Fledtoscotland - i have just moved from obese to overweight too - you gotta be pleased :)
I'm struggling to eat all my weeklies - i think because you just assume that if you don't you'll loose more weight (obviously wrong from what you're all saying), but i started off with plan to only eat half and i seem to have continued in that same way.
However i should manage to blow a fair few this weekend! Menu planned the "main meals", as entertaining 3 nights in a row. Tonight is a chicken/chorizo/veg risotto (7pp), (with lots of wine), tomorrow is starter pea & mint soup (5pp - maybe less depending on portion size), HD chilli & ginger salmon with new potatoes and free veg - so prob about 10pp depending on weight of salmon and how many potatoes, pud is spiced glazed pineapple with cinammon fromage frais (2pp). Then Sunday, roast pork dinner (not thought about how many pp but i WILL be having crackling!)

Have a good weekend all, enjoy yourselves and Happy Mothers Day!

fledtoscotland · 08/03/2013 10:07

Ohtheconfusion - I'm in EK just outside glasgow so any recommendations would be great!

AddictedtoCrunchies · 08/03/2013 10:27

Could someone with an Eating Out guide look up MacDonalds chilli chicken wrap for me? We're going there tomorrow so I'm making sure I know what the pp are.

Also, we're having fish and chips at work today fromthe canteen. What would that be? About? Ish? Blush Have had 5 for breakfast and tea is 9/11 so I've got about 15 to play with plus weeklies.

SoldeInvierno · 08/03/2013 10:31

Chilli Chkcen wrap is 12

SoldeInvierno · 08/03/2013 10:33

12pp is a lot for a chilly Chicken wrap, isn't it? I am looking at the eating out guide and you can have a double cheese burger for the same amount of points.

SoldeInvierno · 08/03/2013 10:36

Fish and chips, according to the eating out guide:

Cod in batter: 16 pp.
Chips standard portion (210 grams): 14pp

OhTheConfusion · 08/03/2013 10:39

FledtoScotland,
Crab Shack is my treat place. They make the food in front of you and you can have no butter, no oil, no problem! That said I normally need 20pp worth of yummy wine too!

Grill on the corner are good and will do steak with no oil, baby potatoes and steamed veg!
Gambrino do a great scallop and rocket linguini, I just ask for a starter portion of pasta but normal scallops and more rocket. They will do Parmesan on the side too.
Darcy's do great soup, sandwiches etc... but avoid the chips!!! Wink

AddictedtoCrunchies · 08/03/2013 11:09

Holy crap - 30 pp for fish and chips?!!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

12pp for a wrap??????????????

How many pp is a hamburger happy meal? Might have to rethink! or go somewhere else

Thanks SoldeInvierno

SoldeInvierno · 08/03/2013 11:28

Hamburger is 7 pp

SoldeInvierno · 08/03/2013 11:29

and a Filet-o-Fish is 9pp

AddictedtoCrunchies · 08/03/2013 11:53

Thanks. Think I might stay home and have some soup.

SallyBear · 08/03/2013 12:18

What's everyone eating for lunch? So hungry today. I'm thinking about ham and poached eggs on toast......

OP posts:
AddictedtoCrunchies · 08/03/2013 12:50

Well Sallybear I resisted fish and chips when all around me were scoffing. I had a wrap (4pp) with half a chicken breast (2pp) and salad. With a splodge of salsa.

I was not going to spend 30 precious pp on fish and chips. Am also rethinking tomorrows MacDonalds. Might take DS but have something at home instead.

I made a decision this week which means I want to be slim and fitter by 1 July. I want to be 12 stone 7 by then which means I have 23lbs to lose in 16 weeks.

I also have a 10k race mid-June and I want to do it in 60 mins or less too as I keep hovering round 62-66 mins for 10k but I need to crack the hour.

OhTheConfusion · 08/03/2013 13:02

Sally I am having a club sandwich (7pp)... 3 slices ww malted bread (3pp), 60g chicken breast (2pp), 2 bacon medallions(1pp) and lettuce with 0 fat mayo! I have only had a WW choc bar and cuppa so far today Blush so need real food!

Crunchie can I join your 12st 7lb challenge? I have 24lbs to go!

fledtoscotland · 08/03/2013 13:06

Lunch today is WW bread (2pts) with nume (morrisons) cottage cheese, chopped onion and watercress with 0pts home made tomato soup. Will have a muller light after with an apple.

SallyBear · 08/03/2013 13:08

I just wish that weather would cheer up. Feeling very flat. If we had some money we would go away over Easter. Sigh..... Poached eggs and toast were nice. All free on F&H.

fledtoscotland · 08/03/2013 13:14

Ohtheconfusion - darcys looks lovely! Next time I'm in town will try it. There's a place in EK that has a WW section to the menu with everything pointed. I think it's called Hunters

OhTheConfusion · 08/03/2013 13:15

I know what you mean Sally. Do you have anything nice planned for the weekend? We are saving as moving house (have yet to tell people in real life so it is even harder!) end of May/early June. Would love a few days in the Lake District. Going out for a meal tonight... although on a happy note now not going for Indian!

Also donning my cagoule and power walking with my Dbro this afternoon to try and work off a few ounces before dinner Hmm.

AddictedtoCrunchies · 08/03/2013 13:31

Confusion - it's a deal. 12st 7lbs by 1 July. On your marks.....

Sally do you feel more in control now you're back n F&H?

I love you lot x

AddictedtoCrunchies · 08/03/2013 13:33

Just out of interest, whereabouts in the world are you all? I'm in the M4 corridor towards Bristol.

SallyBear · 08/03/2013 13:39
