Just thought I would start a new thread, seeing as we are perilously close to the 1000 posts cut off!

We have all started WW this January and so far so good, we are all losing. This is a really supportive group. Please feel free to join us and share your WW tips and any recipes that you may have. Smile

Sounds delicious. Could I do it in the slow cooker? Planned to let it cook tomorrow while I'm at work. The flour would be 4pp so only 1pp each portion really. Assume all the alcohol would burn off so that DS(5) wouldn't be pissed?? Think I might have a go at that..

AddictedtoCrunchies · 20/02/2013 10:16

The stew I meant, not getting DS pissed Smile Blush

SallyBear · 20/02/2013 10:52

Can you start it in a pan on the hob and then transfer it to the slow cooker, just to burn off the alcohol? Your house will smell divine tomorrow!

I know!! Good job I'm not cooking it today as I'm working mumsnetting from home and so I'd be like the bisto kid.

Tonight I'm going to attempt the HD meatballs in tomoato sauce. Check me out getting all Delia eh?! Smile. It's your fault..

So what are you having??

OhTheConfusion · 20/02/2013 11:43

Hi everyone... pass the chrunchie line please Sad.
I went away for two nights with work and squeezed in The Killers gig Wink... I had chinese, nando's, wine, starbucks and cocktails... I was very ill afterwards and honestly think my body was pee'd off with me after giving it so much lovely fresh food Blush.
I swapped breakfast today for a can of full fat coke to aid my hangover... food is not sitting well at all!!!

Also missed my weigh in (I was still away) and feel really fed up Sad. I think the only saving grace is I genuinely feel better about myself(and within myself) when I eat well and this has made me realise this!

Well done on all those fab losses, I am so glad that eating your points worked MrsRudy.

SallyBear · 20/02/2013 11:49

I haven't thought about it yet tbh Crunchie! Off to Little Tesco to see what delights they have, as I've bed a bit undomesticated over the last few days. Maybe chicken cooked in orange and tarragon with brown rice. Or special fried rice, which is actually very low fat.

AddictedtoCrunchies · 20/02/2013 11:58

Here you are Confusion

Onwards and upwards eh? When's your next weigh in? You know what you have to do now, track track and stay within your dailies until then. Hopefully you can pull yourself back from the brink. Smile

Check out Sally's link to the beef stew up there /\ I'm going to try it tomorrow.

AddictedtoCrunchies · 20/02/2013 11:59

Sally is the chicken recipe on the thread?? Sounds lovely..

SallyBear · 20/02/2013 12:12

No it's a very old Mary Berry recipe. I will dig it out and WW it!

AddictedtoCrunchies · 20/02/2013 12:38

You know how you start to form pictures of MNetters? Well I have visions of you surrounded by recipe books and with lots of herb pots on your windowsill..

CiderwithBuda · 20/02/2013 13:10

Hi all.

Sally - your recipes always sound lovely.

We are still working our way through the HD book. Having the salmon tonight. We were supposed to have it last night but had fish and chips instead. Naughty but very nice!

Am doing a fast day tomorrow. Eek. And planning another on Monday. Would really like a good loss this week. I started WW last Jan and by July had lost 33 pounds. Since then I have up and down and up and up and down. You get the picture! Ended up regaining 9lbs. Have lost most but have 2.5 to go to get back to where I was. So I really want to do that this week. Am hopeful that two fast days and no wine will do it.

So I really need to stay on track.

SallyBear · 20/02/2013 13:59

Thank you Cider. I always make sure that I'm watching a particular thread so that I don't lose them iyswim!

Anyway I have worked out my tarragon chicken casserole recipe and its on the recipe thread. www.mumsnet.com/Talk/big_slim_whatever_weight_loss_club/1656975-2013-Weight-Watchers-Over-Here-Recipe-Thread

Thanks Crunchie... it would appear I also lost the ability to spell earlier!

Have survived the train to Glasgow and avoided the tea trolly... heading home now for a bath and a bowl of 0pp soup! Sally's beef stew sounds fab, may make it tomorrow too but need to figure out the pp's first.

Has anyone else noticed a difference in how they feel when they go off diet? I am so sluggish and lethargic today. I honestly feel so much better when I eat well!

SallyBear · 20/02/2013 16:31

Definitely agree with the sluggish feeling, and also just don't have much get up and go! Though this could be half term related.....Grin

OhTheConfusion · 20/02/2013 16:34

Ha that could be it Sally... I have no excuse ours was last week ;-)

AddictedtoCrunchies · 20/02/2013 17:35

Well my HD meatballs are bubbling away in their sauce and they actually look and smell like meatballs. I'm very surprised. Will report back after we've eaten them. ,

OhTheConfusion · 20/02/2013 17:40

I am planning to pick up the HD book this week, it all sounds really nice!

I am having steak and chickpea salad for dinner. Will post in the recipe thread.

SallyBear · 20/02/2013 17:41

Ad I'm in a general flumpy thing, I'm doing fried rice as I can't be bothered to stretch myself tonight. It's quite tasty.

OP posts:
SallyBear · 20/02/2013 17:54

Flumpy mood thing was what I meant. It's probably more to do with the weather etc.

Quick pit stop to share more HD love... Salmon in chilli and ginger a yummy hit with me and DH!

Hoping continued loss is achieved whilst eating such yummy grub!

AddictedtoCrunchies · 20/02/2013 20:01

Wow they were delicious! Recipe said to make 24 but I only made 18 and split them between me, dh and ds. Did 275g of pasta for us all and it was marvellous. Does that mean I'm a cook now? Grin. Grin

SallyBear · 20/02/2013 20:50

I'd certainly say you are crunchie!

AddictedtoCrunchies · 20/02/2013 21:09

Thanks Sally. Stew tomorrow, or casserole to be posh Wink

SallyBear · 20/02/2013 21:27

Stew / casserole. It all goes down the same way!

backinaminute · 21/02/2013 08:36

Good morning. WI day for me today but not till half 6 at the meeting. Don't think I've lost as much this week. Have lost every week (only 6) so far and will be gutted if I haven't because I haven't gone over at all. Under on my dailies every day except on where I used some weeklies on a take away (it was divine though).

Can I ask how you point Stew (without the dumplings as they would be extra). Would you just point the meat, flour and beer and work on the basis that there's nothing else extra. I use my slow cooker and I'm always wondering how to point things in it.

Hope everyone is ok. I will add my stats to the spreadsheet when I work out how or if I can do it from my phone.
