Riverboat, I'm still musing Grin

Maybe, once your knees are better, you could try the L3 Ripped again but substitute the duck walks?

Hope they feel better soon :)

Hi all... well I have done Ripped L1 today and on Monday (yesterday went a bit pear shaped!) and as predicted I ache BIG TIME.... I hate restarting I need to keep going the rest of the week to get rid of it.
Riverboat - not sure what in L3 did for you but it is a really hard level especially on the arms...and I hate jumping lunges. Not sure about the knees but duck walks are a bit odd so may be that did do it.
I think we should relocate to Sport and Exercise once we run out of space....

Afternoon all :)

Happypiglet my yesterday went pear-shaped too! I decided to leave it as though I had done it and carry on today. So today I attempted and survived BFBM! As I suspected, it was heaps easier and I'm sure now that the temperature must have really affected me the last few times I'd done it.

Feeling very good now, but very glad it's over Grin

So onwards I go with L3 Killer tomorrow, bring it on!!

Talking of plans going pear shaped, feels like the last few days have gone by in a blur - been sooo busy the exercise has taken a back seat and in the last 5 days all I have done is one solitary shred (L2 and it felt good!). And now I'm off for a few days holiday - planning to be fairly active though not sure if JM-ing will be possible - got to check the hotel facilities.

riverboat I had sore knees for a while & think jumping lunges may have something to do with it particularly when tired as that is when you can lose your form a bit. I went to a physio who diagnosed tight iliotibial band (think my spelling gene has gone awol) and since then I do extra stretches every time I exercise and massage the sides of my legs every day. It made a huge difference and I can do the jumping lunges now. But I did have to rest for a while and take it easy while I recovered.

Agree with others - lets make a break for sports & exercise!

Talking of pear-shaped... I've posted a photo on my profile of me post-killer L1 earlier! I like my abs and arms but wish my thighs were a bit slimmer!

I checked out the sections, and think we need to be in exercise (under "health") rather than sports (under "fun and games").

Well done happyp on reacquainting yourself with Ripped, and 3steps on breezing through BFBM!

Enjoy your holiday ponks, hope you find time and space to exercise!

Smile

Jackster- you look great! I think we have similar figures (which makes me sound like I think I'm great too ;-)) but I mean by that you have fairly low body fat but the bit you have (and we all need some!) is around the thighs. Looking v fit though!

Jackster you look great, like the definition round your abs! I need to do a lot of work before I look anything like as good so will be a while before I post a pic.
I have a funny pouchy bit under my rib cage - generally have quite a flat stomach but never get to tone up that floppy bit at the top - anyone got ideas?
Anyhoo got to run - leaving in an hour or so and haven't packed yet eek! someone leave a pointer to the new thread so I don't lose it while I'm away!

Looking good Jackster ! You don't look in the least pear shaped to me! I too hold any weight around my bum and thighs although since hitting 40 some time ago a now tend to get some around my back above the pelvis sort of muffin top... never had this as a youngster... age is a killer.. Even though I weigh the same as I did in my 20s its not in such good places I have a tendency to look scrawny in the cleavage area..
Well any way L1 Ripped done again- its getting easier- one more tomorrow and them maybe L2 next week...

Evening all!

Jackster you look fab!!! You look 100% slim and toned, including your thighs :) You and notyummy are a great advert for Jillian Michaels!

I'm still not keen to post a photo . Generally I think I'm looking pretty slim at the moment, with very small fried egg boobs lol My bugbears are my legs. They are too short to my mind and I have very unladylike calves!! I'm pleased with my arms and midriff and generally my bum (thank you Killer Buns Wink)

Ponks have a great holiday and see you when you get back :) Thinking about the abs pouch, would double crunches help that top bit? Or even just plain crunches?

Happypiglet well done on getting another Ripped under your belt!

L3 Killer done today. So I missed Tuesday's L2 Killer and have decided tomorrow to do BFBM again, and then double S&S at the weekend. I have to say I'm enjoying mixing all the workouts up at the moment.

Keep going everyone! i think we've all decided on Exercise under Health for the next thread?

I'm around tomorrow and will keep an eye on the thread - I can post the new one up if everyone's happy with that as I've now found the exercise section!

Hi all. Managed a 5 mile power walk and L2 shred today, after nothing yesterday. Did squeeze in 40 mins in the cross trainer on Wed and L3 Shred on Monday so not too bad. Plan L2 Killer plus 20 minutes cross trainer tomorrow and NMTZ on Sunday.

Have a good holiday Ponks.

Nice one notyummy! Sounds like you've got the weekend planned out too :)

Another BFBM here today. Going to try and do it earlier in the day if at all possible as it takes it out of me if I leave it too late... but I got through it, hurrah!

Double S&S this weekend and maybe even something more if there's time...

We can still squeeze a few more posts onto this thread so I'll leave it a while longer before relearning how to do links setting up a new one!

Have a great weekend all

Thanks for the compliments all Blush!

Good work notyummy and 3steps.

Ponks re upper stomach, I agree with 3steps re crunches. Also a move from taebo "abs and glutes" that I always feel in that area of my stomach, is doing crunches with legs up in the air 90 degrees, feet crossed, and you try and touch your toes with both hands and then one hand at a time.

Just popping on to say great work going on, and loving the inspirational if somewhat depressing photos. Haven't had a bad week - L1 S&S on Monday, 6W6P L1 on Tuesday, day off on Weds (had to go out first thing), Killer L1 on Thursday (love the warm up on this one), 6W6P L2 yesterday, which I managed with 3kg all the way through, the most I've managed since having Rosa Smile. The plan is L2 S&S today (to counteract Toad in the Hole for tea), either a day off tomorrow or Yoga Meltdown L2 (depends if we go out or not), Killer L2 on Monday and a few circuits of BFBM with added weights on Tuesday. Hope you all have a good weekend x

Hiya Knotty! You sound like you've had a fab week exercise wise! 6W6P with 3 kg, yoinks, that's seriously impressive!

Ponks I just remembered in NMTZ (can't remember if you have it?) there's an exercise called squirmers or something, but I remember it really used to get me under the ribs, in the centre area. It might be a good one for the area you want to target? Hope you're having a nice break...

Not long finished the double S&S which I really enjoyed today :) I hope to do a Killer tomorrow as I'm having a day off planned on Tuesday (for the dentist, such fun, not)

Off to eat my way through any amount of exercise now but I'll come back later and start the new thread in case there's a flurry of evening posters....

laters :)
