Hi all, I joined slimmig world yesterday as I finally ready and motivated to get this weight off. Anyone else? Is there a support thread for those following slimming world? As I couldn't see one on here. If not anyone interested in helping to support each other here?

Ikiboo - good menu choice. Well done

Kiss - well done on loss :)

Had pizza and garlic doughballs last night as escaped the snow

'Blondes sits on naughty step'

As I said I will gain Friday but will deserve it

But sometimes need a few days off

tigerdriverII · 13/03/2013 09:40

Oh dear. STS this week, I thought I was doing ok but could see the scale wavering and nearly looked like a gain Sad. I have tried pretty hard all week, but probably have had a few too many liquid syns...and not enough exercise. I am not a happy bunny though....maybe I'm just destined to be fat.

BadRoly · 13/03/2013 10:31

Oh Tiger Hmm don't give up x

I gained 1lb which is fair enough. I'm relieved its not more tbh.

Have gin night this Saturday night though so plan to try hard to compensate the rest of this week!

obrigada · 13/03/2013 10:32

Ok if I join ye? Have been a SW member on line for last 4 months but haven't really given it a go, am determined to lose some of this flab before the summer kicks in (if it ever does:)). Weighed last night and am 12st 10.5lb:(
So far this morning I have had 2 weetabix with slimline milk and a handful of grapes (also got a short walk in before work).

Blondeshavemorefun · 13/03/2013 11:17

tiger, dont give up :(

welcome obrigada :)

noyouhavehadawee · 13/03/2013 13:43

noyouhavehadawee · 13/03/2013 13:45

chin up tiger Smile

BadRoly · 13/03/2013 13:58

So to give me some oomph to be good this week, here is today's plan:
B- bran flakes & milk (heA&B)
S- black coffee, banana, satsuma, apple (spread out over morning)
L-SW curried parsnip soup, water, mullerlight.
S- apple & banana, herbal tea
T- home made chicken slow cooker pie type jobby. So far only syns in it is 1tbsp corn flour (3.5)
S- 2x toblerone tiny (1.5 each), banana, herbal tea.

It will fall down either when kids come in and want biscuits or in evening when I am bored Hmm

BadRoly · 13/03/2013 14:00

NoYou - I find I get tummy ache now if I eat too much stodge which is ok as long as I don't give myself a guilt trip then eat to make myself feel better Hmm I had terrible tummy ache on Saturday night Hmm

KissMyGrits · 13/03/2013 14:45

Badroly that pie sounds yum, whats the recipe?

noyou and tiger keep going, when you're in your bikinis this summer you'll not remember this week!

noyouhavehadawee · 13/03/2013 14:53

true true mind we are going all inclusive so sure to put th lot back on in two weeks Grin Grin

ThatBintAgain · 13/03/2013 15:30

tiger I'm starting to feel like that. Sad

I'm just not trying and I don't know why, my head just isn't there. It's not like I don't have the incentive, I have an event coming up that will be full of judgey bitches people from my distant past and I don't know why it isn't putting the fear of god into me.

KissMyGrits · 13/03/2013 15:32

noyou we're going to the US in August and I NEED to be at my target weight because everything I want to do is food related, I'm going to come back at least half a stone heavier!

BadRoly · 13/03/2013 15:36

Kiss - I fry light fried a leek. Added a load of cooked chicken left over from our roast on Sunday, added a pint or so of stock (from Sunday's carcus), brought to the boil, added a tbsp cornflour, boiled a bit more, added a tin of sweetcorn.

Meanwhile put a layer of sliced potato in the bottom of the slow cooker, then poured mixture ^^^ over that and put another layer of sliced potato over the top...

It will either work or be blitzed up into soup... Wink

Me23 · 13/03/2013 18:10

I wi 1 day early today and I've put on a lb Sad
I'm going away tomorrow until sunday and have been invited to a dinner party with oh friends (who I do not really know) so that will mess things up Sw wise it's like being forced to syn even though I don't want to. I think t would be very rude to refuse dessert wouldn't it? I'm not even joking I would rather not have any in so determined to lose this weight.

Also on Sunday have lunch planned at relative for my sons 2nd bday so want to enjoy that. I will try to make good choices with fhe rest of other meals whist I'm away (will be staying with oh mum) it's hard when you are away from home.

Bleurgh bad week for me as well !!!!! Went to harvester today had plain chicken, jacket spud and peas so boring.

Do you think this weather affects our eating pattern and mood ?

Well done to those who have lost and keep going those who havent.

BadRoly · 13/03/2013 20:15

I think it does Laughs. I have a cold too so just want to eat easy junk. That said, my curried parsnip soup was just what I needed (could have done with a crusty cheese roll to dunk in it mind Wink). And salad was great last week when it was warm and sunny, not so appealing the last couple of days!

beanandspud · 13/03/2013 20:49

I agree with the cold weather affecting what you want to eat. I'm full of cold and really, really fancy a stodgy pudding and custard. Roll on the Summer when salad, barbecue and baby potatoes sound much more appealing.

Not too bad today...

B - Baby bel (heA) and fruit eaten in the car
L - tuna, carrots and peas/sweetcorn (slightly odd combination but best of a bad bunch from a hotel buffet)
D - Baked potato with tuna

S - muller yogurts, Alpen light bars (heB) and an Options hot chocolate

tigerdriverII · 13/03/2013 23:37

Hey, thanks to all of you guys for the support. Ok, I won't give up really. I've not had too bad a day - the posh meal out turned out to be very healthy, I had a couple of glasses of wine before the meal and I've had lots of fruit and veg all day. So hopefully I'm around the 15 syn mark for the day, not too bad as I can pull in my horns tomorrow and Friday, and even try to burn off some bulk if I can get out walking at the weekend. This thread is a real help, so thank you all again.

Blondeshavemorefun · 14/03/2013 04:02

Sorry you gained me

laughalot good harvester choices. I have that or rice

bean I need stodgy stuff when cold and also when working nights and awake now at 4am Grin

tiger menu sounds good today

As I said I've been bad this week. Snow and work and just needed a break. Hope I don't gain 5lbs :( maybe just 2/3 eh

I was good ish yesterday with
B fruit and yog
L bacon roll (b)
T spag Bol and tons of veg as cheese (a)

But also syns high with crisps choc and chedders and an extra ham and cheese sandwich at 11pm Blush
If I hadn't have used my a and b then would have been ok :(

ThatBintAgain · 14/03/2013 09:53

I'm on a mission to do 50% superfree for every meal. It's not going too badly. Mushrooms on toast for breakfast and now off for an hour's exercise. If I don't get my half stone award next week I'm going to spit, I've been after it for a month and have made absolutely no progress whatsoever.

1996timeforchange · 14/03/2013 10:06

Marking my place, Ashamed to admit what i've just stuffed in my mouth ( if i eat it fast it doesn't count Blush)

KissMyGrits · 14/03/2013 12:18

What do I want for lunch? My local sainsburys has stopped stocking the only salad I like, gutted!

noyouhavehadawee · 14/03/2013 18:00

i had supermarket sushi which was surprisingly filling, jacket spud and homemade crustless quiche for tea. wonder what tomorrow will bring at the scales Confused

beanandspud · 14/03/2013 19:44

Funny sort of day.

Got distracted this morning and didn't get round to breakfast so had fruit in the car on the way to work.

Ended up at a Harvester for lunch and had the grilled salmon, new potatoes and salad bar with l/f dressing which I think is ok.

Had some yogurt and fruit for snacks and just having a medicinal glass of wine whilst DH cooks a mushroom and spinach pilaf thing for dinner.

Still full of cold though and feeling rubbish but managing to avoid the cake and chocolate that I really want in the hope of a loss tomorrow.
