Hi all, I joined slimmig world yesterday as I finally ready and motivated to get this weight off. Anyone else? Is there a support thread for those following slimming world? As I couldn't see one on here. If not anyone interested in helping to support each other here?

My 2 lb loss this week was with 40 syns all week, sometimes I think I underestimate by a syn or 2 a week so say max 45 syns.

Going to have at least double that this weekend though planning a takeaway and a Sunday lunch for mothers day.

Blondeshavemorefun · 07/03/2013 10:57

gawd - i had a blow out Blush of 50ish syns and generally have 80ish a week

friends of mine have 15a day/105 a week and loses 3/4/5lbs each week Envy

KissMyGrits · 07/03/2013 11:39

I've been exercising so I'm losing inches quicker than lbs. I think I'd be ok with more syns but I'm trying to get into the mindset that treats are for weekends, this way I'm more likely to keep the weight off. I'm terrified of reaching my goal weight and then going nuts and having 15 syns a day then 20 then 25.... I have no self control when I get going!

beanandspud · 07/03/2013 11:45

Blondes I have been having around 70-100 syns per week but it is slow, slow, slow - even though I keep telling myself that it is better that way.

I had a quick look at some of the other threads that started around New Year and not many are still going. We must keep plodding on - loads of successes on here - we're doing really well.

What's every else's Small Success for the week???

Mine is that I finally tucked my work shirt into my trousers yesterday which I haven't done for a long time Smile. Still a long way to go but it's little things like that make me realise that it is working albeit slowly.

Have also booked a Summer holiday and a weekend away - both of which will involve being in front of skinny friends wearing swimwear Shock

Today's plan...

B - Fruit and Yogurt
L - Baked potato and cottage cheeese
D - Tagliatelle with ribbon veg and philly
S - Fruit, Alpen Bars (heB)

Just had two ryvita (3 syns) with the blue cheese laughing cow triangles (heA) - thank you to whoever mentioned it - yummy!

BadRoly · 07/03/2013 12:47

I reckon I average out at 15-20 syns a day. Maybe build has something to do with it? I'm quite tall at 5ft10 so maybe there's a bit of play in that?

Yesterday I had:
B-bran flakes, milk and black coffee (heA and B)
S-2x black coffee, banana
L-jacket with cottage cheese, mixed leaves, cucumber, Mullerlight, grapes and pint of water
S-black coffee, banana, 2 fig rolls (3.5syns each)
T-Indian mince, water, Mullerlight
S-PomBears (4.5syns), hifi bar (3syns), 5 tiny toblerone (1.5syns each)
So I make that 22 syns for yesterday. I also walked 2 of my 3 school runs so probably 2-3miles walked in the course of the day (about 1/2mile to school).

So far today I have had:
B-bran flakes, milk, black coffee (A&B)
S-grapes, banana, apple with raspberry Activia yogurt, black coffee
L-mugshot, pint water, apple, grapes.
Tea should be pasta of some sort which will be free so any syns will come from munchies/snacks again. Which is pretty normal for me. No exercise yet though - might try out one of my unopened DVDs with ds2 this afternoon...

Me23 · 07/03/2013 13:04

I don't lose well if I have 15 syns a day I lose about 0.5/1lb so I try to have no more than 10 syns a day/70 a week sometimes have less than this since doing this I've been losing more.
Had quite a lazy week wrt Sw so need to get Back on it properly.
I've had today
B- wholemeal toast (heb) marg - 4 syns
L- pasta with tomato chilli sauce rocket and low fat feta (hea)
D- not sure yet but will make it free
S- fruit and fat free yog.

Me23 · 07/03/2013 20:16

Hi all

Syns are odd aren't they. I don't have any eating syns if I can help it, and I find it pretty easy to stick to the plan, especially if I haqve my hea and hebs. So far so good. However I do go overboard with the old vino (it's 6 syns for a medium glass of wine, 24 per bottle) so am trying to cut it out in the week, and just stick to weekends, and cut it with soda. I've got a rotten cold right now though so am having a medicinal glass of red, but as no syns at all on tues and we'd, I think that should be ok.

Blondeshavemorefun · 07/03/2013 23:25

No eating syns tiger??

I prefer to eat my syns then drink them

Mine generally go on salad cream light - crisps and Starbucks

Have had a mugshot and melon

Hoping for a loss tomorrow .- I'm under 105 syns - will work out how many I've had ..,,,,.

BadRoly · 07/03/2013 23:39

Good luck Blondes x

Fragglewump · 08/03/2013 12:23

Hi all. Had my first weigh in yesterday and lost 2.5! Yippee mind you I did skip breakfast and only have one cuppa was careful before wi. I will keep going a bit longer but find all the thinking about what I can and can't have totally exhausting! Good luck all. I've already got a sw stew in my slow cooker for tonight so I can avoid a Friday night takeaway! X

laughalot · 08/03/2013 12:40

yucccccck iv got a tummy bug Sad. The only great thing about it is the weight loss Grin. However tasting my Rogan Josh curry the second time round last night was not good. I want my mum xx

Well done to everyone who has lost this week.

noyouhavehadawee · 08/03/2013 12:47

Blondeshavemorefun · 08/03/2013 16:29

well done noyou and fraggle

BadRoly · 08/03/2013 17:40

Brilliant result Blondes Grin

iklboo · 08/03/2013 18:13

Made the quiche tonight with onions, peppers & cheese to use as HEA. I'll let you know how it tastes.

noyouhavehadawee · 08/03/2013 18:50

Oooo well done us all Grin, blondes please you got some off even if you were starved - hope your having a substantial fill up tonight! I made the quiche too though with 3 eggs and 150g of cottage cheese mine is rather flat - think i need a smaller flan dish as had to cut 2 huge slices and pile on top of each other to double decker it. Still got some left for a snack tonight mind may end up egg bound! Today i have consumed :
brekky: 2 weetabix in semi skimmed milk till soggy
lunch: double deckered crustless quiche with salad and a teaspoon of light choices coleslaw, a muller light
snacks: packet of quavers
tea: supernoodles - low fat (i tell my kids they cant eat these as just crap so need to rethink this quick fix)
snacks later: rest of quiche
drank loads of hot water and about 3 coffees.

beanandspud · 08/03/2013 20:28

Well done Blondes, Noyou and fraggle GrinGrinGrin

I chickened out of WI this morning. I know I should but after a terrible week I'm dreading what the scales will say.

Today, not too bad I think...

B - fruit
L - salmon with veg and baby potatoes. There was some butter on the veg but the best choice from a bad menu
S - Alpen bar and fruit
D - We were out so had spaghetti with mussels in a tomato sauce which I think was pretty ok. Bit of parmesan. A few olives as a starter.

Have also had a couple of glasses of wine and a spoon of DS's ice cream which wasn't actually that nice.

tigerdriverII · 08/03/2013 22:07

Well done everyone who's lost.

Well, still more or less sticking to it....

B: 0% yoghurt and fruit

Snack: hifi bars (HEb), 2 bananas and two satsumas

L: noodle salad with edamame beans, from marks, with no dressing, I think should be 0 syns, a 30 g piece of cheese, fruit salad

D: small piece Parma ham, some roasted veg, fish/ seafood risotto, salad all from Zizzis.

About 3 medium Wine

So all in all not too bad. Probably some syns in the supper, but not too many. Am cooking from the new Asia cookbook tomorrow. Not sure what yet but will all be 0 syns.....
