Hi all, I joined slimmig world yesterday as I finally ready and motivated to get this weight off. Anyone else? Is there a support thread for those following slimming world? As I couldn't see one on here. If not anyone interested in helping to support each other here?

Hi everyone had a disaster yesterday and ate loads of crap oh well onwards and upwards. My dh is away this week at Cheltenham races so my dinners will be things like jacket spuds, poached egg on toast ect so it will interesting to see if I lose or gain this week with not having proper meals. It is also my period this week so not a good week.

Hi all.

Hit my interim target last week, after losing 3stone 10lbs. I'm now 10stone 7 and trying to figure out what I'd like to slim to. I would like to lose more however I hadn't really thought about a final target weight, it just seemed so far away IYSWIM??

Can't seem to stop eating this week too! Sad Not sure what's wrong with me, although I am trying to stick to superfree snacking. So today....

B Pineapple (about half!! Blush ) and a kiwi fruit

L Mixed pepper stir fry with 2 sliced boiled eggs. Pear for dessert

D Salad: lettuce, carrot, beetroot, pickled onions, cherry tomatoes, wholemeal pasta, 2 BBQ Sticky Quorn Fillets. Mullerlight with pudding rice for dessert (slightly obsessed with this since discovering its just like rice pudding, my fave!)

S Apple. Dime Bar. Cadbury Hilight.

How does that sound?? It seems the longer I go on, the more I question myself. Possibly because its becoming harder to lose now. I just don't want to hit a point where I'm obsessing about food - calories, weighing etc. I love that with Slimming World it isn't necessary. I'd like a nice healthy relationship with food if possible!!

Justtheonemore that is fab well done you. So come on then share the tips how did you lose so much and how hard have you found it ? How long has it taken you to shift the weight Grin.

Thanks! Found it pretty tough at first if I'm being honest! I had two babies in 11months and so had a period of around 20months just eating what I fancied Blush. I started mid Sept '12.

As the weeks (alright, it took months Grin ) have gone on I've found it easier to resist, and I've stopped fancying some if the junk food my partner habitually scoffs. I've had a couple of bad weeks where I've had a blow out, gaining at Christmas etc but mainly done ok just sticking to it.

This week has been a strange one though. Wanting to eat constantly!! Although there's been stress so I guess once an emotional eater, always an emotional eater!!

How do you find it Laugh??

I'm in damage limitation mode for the next few days! I'm weighing in a day early at another group as im going away for a long weekend so only 2 days to try to lose something! Plus point is yesterday I got a coat I've had my eye on for ages and I got it in a size 14! Yay now dropped a dress size. 3lbs to go till i get my club 10.

Just I have not found it too bad iv lost a stone and a half in 9 weeks. It has been hard at times to try and not scoff everything in sight but I really want to go on holiday in July and feel nice. Last years holiday pictures where the kick up the bum for me I looked and felt so overweight. This is also going to sound daft but my eldest child will be 9 in July and I dont want him to get bullied for having a fat mum. Kids can be sooooooooo cruel and I could not put him through that. I still have a long way to go but im getting there.

Evening!!!!

Well a happy robo here - yes I managed a whole 1 lb loss and got my stone award - yeah!! Finally and about time too! I think it has taken nearly 10 weeks to lose this half stone to get to my stone. I am planning on getting both my Club 10 and my 1.5 stone award in April 2013 Grin.

So I see blondes and roly have been naughty! Oh well - we are starting another week. Plenty of time to correct the damage! Same goes for you laughalot too!!

justtheonemore - wow you are doing fab! I think my total loss required will be nearly 4 stone, so I am just a quarter of the way there! Do you go to class??

me - hope this week goes ok for you.

Well I have to be super good this week - cant get to WI next Monday as I am off to Manchester Airport to do some professional reviews for my professional Institution, I will be holed up in a hotel for Sunday and Monday evenings - food wise I am having two evening meals, two breakfasts and possibly 2 but hopefully one buffet lunch there. I have tried googling the hotel to see if I can find a menu, but the evening meal is not in the main restaurant (I suppose in case we bump into any of the candidates!). Breakfast is a buffet, so should be SW friendly. Not sure about lunch - salad would suit really!!

1lb gain Confused. To be expected. I had a horrendous week last week - not junk, just not eating properly. Some days I was only eating my tea & maybe a quick snack before bed, not having my HEA & HEB properly......then Mother's Day. Right, onwards to next week & back to eating properly.

laughalot - I am a Civil Engineer - so I am reviewing (with a lead reviewer as I am new to this) candidates who want to be Chartered Engineers! So will be mainly a bunch of old men all sitting round having dinner and discussing whatever...!! Travel Agent sounds good though - I love nosing at holidays (dreaming!)

Well done androbbob. You'll be fine next week, just have baked beans on toast and scrambled egg or fruit for breakfast, and watch what you're having for the rest. Take some snacks eg hifi bars and mugshots etc.

ikiboo. It'll be fine next week. I have to get over a 1.5 gain, hopefully I'll do it although been a bit derailed by some good news which has prompted a break out of fizz tonight. Doh.

Well done androbbob - onwards and downwards! I did check my diary as I thought I was also at the airport on Monday but it's later in the week considers stalking androbbob at the breakfast buffet. I tend to find breakfast and dinner in hotels not too bad - it's the sandwich/buffet lunches and the wine that causes me problems!

Don't be too Sad iklboo - I was the same last week and have to keep telling myself that I'm in this for the long term so a couple of 'blips' are expected.

Hope you are ok Blondes - saw some of the weather on the news this morning, it looks dreadful.

Overcame temptation today! On a course with work outside of the office.

Giant muffins & pastries available all morning in the workroom. I had a hi-life bar.

Lunch choices included lasagne & garlic bread, salami & cheeses and bread. Plus cakes and puddings for dessert. I had poached salmon, steamed vegetables and a stuffed pepper. With a fresh fruit platter for dessert.

Envious but virtuous!!! Grin

Had a lovely salad for lunch today with hard boiled eggs. Same for lunch tomorrow I think!

Hi all

WI for me first thing tomorrow. I feel as though I have struck a bit, but I really need to shift the weight that went on last week and I don't feel I've tried hard enough. Oh well fingers crossed....tomorrow I have a work dinner, not much control over the menu but its st a very posh gastro pub so I hope the portions are small and tasty. I can always push it around on my plate and have lots of water. Onwards and downwards!

1.6lbs off for me this week, not too bad considering. Think I may concentrate on superfree this week and try and get at least 3 lbs off and I'll be back into healthy weight range.
