Hi all, I joined slimmig world yesterday as I finally ready and motivated to get this weight off. Anyone else? Is there a support thread for those following slimming world? As I couldn't see one on here. If not anyone interested in helping to support each other here?

i think i am having another extra easy day today so keep me right as i am a red and green girl normally.

i have had so far- breakfast two weetabix, a kiwi fruit then for lunch a small jacket potato with low fat and sugar baked beans with beetroot and cucumber along with sw crustless quiche which had a bit of ham in it too. should keep me going till my two o'clock muller then its sw chips and cod for tea with peas. is that right? i might have a bag of wotsits tonight too Grin

Does anyone know the syn value of Dolmio white lasagne sauce 300g jar ?

Had a bad day yesterday not with food but children related. I had parents evening last night for my little girl who has just turned 6 and she is mega behind at school Sad. I was heartbroken when I came away from school I had a big sob on the hubbys shoulder and then gathered my thoughts and realised we have a healthy happy little girl and it will all be ok in the end.

What suprised me more was the hubby offered to go to the chip shop to cheer me up and I said NO lol how amazing was that. I also won a mumsnet prize on here yesterday which was a FA 60 min football training session for my son and his footie team so was pleased with that.

Hope everyone is doing well blondes the cock cake sounds nice Grin.

in answer to your syn question i think you divide the calorie value by 20 so if 200 it would be ten then if your having a quarter it would obviously be 2.5

470g white sauce is 23 - so roughly 500 is 23 - 100g is 4.5 so assume 300g is 13.5 laughalot

I have wi tomorrow. Not feeling optimistic though, my meals have been ok but bloody Nora I'm getting the munchies, especially in the evenings Sad. And ve got this horrid cough that is making me grumpy. I just want to scoff crap right now Blush

Hi all

WI tomorrow. Dreading it, I've just not been on it this week, now I'm beating myself up.

Today:

B: sandwich with two slices of WW bread (HEb) and laughing cow blue cheese (hea)

Snack : lots of fruit

L: baked spud, beans, various salads (no dressing)

D: M&S brown rice sushi, I assume v low in syns, M&S butternut squash salad, ditto, some pineapple

Hopefully no more than 10 syns all day. Fingers crossed.....

Well done laugh for turning down a fish supper!

I lost 2lbs this week, I'm pleased with this and I'm now under 10 stone for the first time in 6 years. If I can keep going with a steady 2lb a week loss I'll be at target in 10 weeks and my first holiday is in 11 and a half so that would be perfect.

tiger sushi is about 1.5 a per 100g for fish and rice according to my book.

Just had WI. Worse than I thought, + 1.5 lbs. so in the last month I have shifted 2 lbs. I do sort of know why: in the last week two meals out, one where it was difficult to manage the menu, no real exercise, probably overeating, too much wine, not enough home cooking and too many mugshots and junk.

Back to the drawing board, I feel like giving up though. I am an advert for unhealthy lifestyle Sad.

Tiger come on now chin up 1.5 on isnt that bad. At least you know why, its better than being really really good and not losing you know where you have been going wrong and can now correct it Grin. We cannot live our lives without the occasional treat. I bet if you try really hard this week you will have a good loss next wi. Chin up xxxx

tiger i feel your pain, esp as i gained last week, but i was good and within my syns :( - where as you know youve been bad enjoyed a few nice meals out

i also eat mugshots a lot, thought they were free as a snack??

Clearly my binges have not been as bad as I thought - 2lb off! Which means I have passed my Club 10 and am only 3lb off my initial target weight!

If I am logical, my meals are good at home and we have not eaten out very much quite deliberately. The snacks I'm buying a as low syn as possible - PomBears are my friends as they are only 4.5 syns a pack. So if I binge on 2-3 bags, I'm still within 15syns. Likewise yogurts (instead of chocolate) are free and I'm only buying rich tea fingers which are 1 syn each so even if I scoff 15 I'm still in!

I am really really pleased at how well this is working for me though. I never thought it would Grin

I'm also sorry if this sounds like a boasting post, especially after your posts Tigers, I don't mean to rub it in Sad

Well done kiss and badroly. I've had my snivel now, so will get back on it Grin, nothing like a short wallow in self pity.

blondes - some mugshots are free, but I feel that for me it's better to have some fruit as a snack or make a quick meal out of fresh ingredients if I can, seems to work better.

The plan for today

B: sandwich with two slices WW bread and laughing cow, + a bit of salad

L: some leftover pasta, no cheese, with a Tom sauce

D: planning veg curry and rice

No wine etc, fruit for snacks and muller light

Lets see how this goes.....

Well done Kiss and Roly - that's great news.

Tiger - I suspect I could be joining you this week as I have had a terrible few days with too much wine, a couple of work events, wine, big meals (with little or no choices) and more wine Blush.

Good advice from laugh though and I will try to remember it on Friday or Saturday when I WI.

Blondes I don't know how you manage working nights and having 3(?) DC - I am in awe of what you do, no wonder your body sometimes gets confused.

Today, back on track...

B - Fruit and yogurt
S - More fruit and a couple of Alpen light bars
L - Baked potato with tuna, sweetcorn and l/f mayo (synned)
D - Not sure but probably a mexican bean bake

bean i dont have any dc of my own, but the children i look after i call dc - darling charges lol - but yes my poor body clock is screwed up with working every other night, then 2 in a row - so i sleep when i come home and wake maybe 11/2 and then have breakfast which is really lunch time

laugh you wouldn't be as Envy if you knew how short I was. My favourite saying is I'm not overweight I'm under tall! My BMI is still in the overweight category (hopefully not for long).

Well done everyone on the losses and don't worry about the gains, I think if you don't give in to temptation every once in a while you'll not stick to any diet.

Evening all - not been on here all week as drowning in paperwork. Went to WI on Moonday and maintained. Still this pesky pound to my stone - blondes - need shouting at!!

kissmygrits - you are doing well - you will defo be slinky by our holidays! Just paid the balance today! I will still be a blob at this rate.

tiger - draw a line under last week and pick yourself up and refocus this week. I find it so easy to put on weight, but so hard to lose it, but we must keep chipping away at it.

badroly - yay! so close to your target - can sniff it out here!!! Easter target member!!

We looked at mug shots and apparently some of the ones from the cheaper shops are acutally half a syn - slightly different recipe. Leader told us the ones with the red writing on are the free ones.

sunnyshine - welcome to my half pound club! I reckon there are 17 weeks to the begnining of July - so we could be 8 or 9lbs lighter by then! Grin I am such a tortoise!!

Hoping to get my stone this week (said that every week of feb!!)
