I had lost 9lb before putting my weight into MFP so my total is 16lb but I'm finding the weight loss isn't as fast as I would like.
So I'm going to start using Wii Fit Plus again.

cinnamongreyhound · 17/10/2012 06:48

Oh no I lost you all, fell off my I'm on list. Still plodding along here maintaining. Got a horrible cold which really isn't making me want to eat!! Starting to think being a healthy weight is a bad thing, sickness bug, broken foot and cold in the last 6 weeks :(

cakeaddict · 17/10/2012 09:29

Hello,
I've been lurking a bit on here but haven't posted before. Just wondered how long it took you all to see results?
I've been following MFP for about 3 weeks now (and broadly sticking with it), and don't seem to have lost a single ounce. I thought I would have seen something happen by now, so starting to get a bit discouraged. I don't have much to lose - just want to shed half a stone to feel a bit better & lose some flab.

tink8181 · 17/10/2012 14:55

Hi

Could I join you? I've been trying to loose using mfp for a while but I'm stuck in a bit of a rut and I'm struggling to get going again. I've been finding I keep loosing motivation and have been going way over on my daily calorie allowance :(

cookieowner · 17/10/2012 16:17

hi
havent been on here for a week or 2 as moving house so no internet, im still going with mfp but it does seem a slow process , im losing 1-2 a week though and on 1200 calories a day

RGPargy · 17/10/2012 18:40

Hi everyone. Just bookmarking! :-)

jchocchip · 17/10/2012 20:41

Hello everyone Comfort eating here again. Taxi driver nudged me off my bike on my way to work so I'm a bit bruised and scratched. That tarmac is sharp! Going to have a bath now and try again tomorrow. mfp, NOT cycling to work. Think the dark morning got me by surprise. I work flexi so can go in between 7.30 and 10. Guess I was just too early :(

RGPargy · 17/10/2012 22:09

Oh no, choc, Poor you!!! I love cycling but the roads scare me sometimes. I guess in the (not-so) light of very early morning, it's difficult to see cyclists as the sun is coming up but it's still dark. Tis a very odd sort of light. Hope it doesn't put you off though. I also hope, more importantly, that you are ok!!!

Both DP and I have only been half heartedly eating well. I dont know if it's because things are busy at home at the moment or whether it's because winter is drawing in and I, for some reason, feel the need to eat stodge. I hope not! The next fitness weekender is at the beginning of March so I really really do want to lose some weight before i go. I say this every time and i always end up going there pretty much at the same weight as the last one. Must make more of an effort this time!

Hello and welcome cakeaddict and tink8181! :o Feel free to add me on MFP. Same name as here. :)

I made some cupcakes for the girls at the gym today (how wrong is that statement!!). They went down really well. I am very pleased because i finally managed to make my cupcakes look nice lol. I made Baileys flavour and vanilla flavour. They were absolutely delicious - apparently HmmBlush

Sparklingbrook · 17/10/2012 22:13

Hello. Got really bad back pain which came on out of nowhere. No walk for 2 days and fell off the wagon a lot bit today.

Is there any way to keep your username on MFP, but scrub all the previous stuff and start again? I can't face logging all of today's snacks. Sad

RGPargy · 17/10/2012 22:15

If you dont want to log today's snacks then just dont log them! Start afresh tomorrow. Look after your back and be kind to yourself! :)

Sparklingbrook · 17/10/2012 22:24

Thanks RG. I'm so fed up-only been doing it for 4 weeks and off the rails already.

RGPargy · 17/10/2012 22:27

It's hard to keep going, I know. I am currently only half on and half off the rails lol. It's all in the head and if your head's not in it, you will probably keep falling off or keep having "treats". Try again tomorrow and try not to worry too much about today. Worrying about what you've eaten now will not get rid of the calories you have consumed so just learn from it and move on. Chin up. :)

Sparklingbrook · 17/10/2012 22:30

I have just come off the ADs that I think were to blame for the weight gain, so I imagined it all falling off me, but no. Sad

You are right though RG. I will weigh in tomorrow and get on with it again.

tink8181 · 18/10/2012 10:40

Thanks RG will add you :)

Had a bit of a day yesterday, I thought I was doing ok and then had a bit of a rubbish afternoon at work and munched my way through a 120g bar of orange and shortcake galaxy and a load of party rings :(

Had a good thunk and chat with the dag when we were walking round the field this morning. Going to try and get my bum in gear and stop making excuses for falling off the wagon! (we'll see how long it lasts!) I came in to work via the supermarket and have got a load of fruit to munch on through the day rather than me heading for the biscuits and chocolate. Fingers crossed for a better day today!

cinnamongreyhound · 18/10/2012 16:58

Hi boringnamechange, the easiest way to find calorie count is to add something to a meal and use the search function at the top. Just have a scan through as some people have under/over estimated so I tend to go for the average if I don't have a barcode to scan. Although I have had something totally random pop up when I have scanned a bar code so don't always trust that either!

Hi cakeaddict, I started losing straight away but I have lost 5st 10 so I was considerably more overweight than you are! I would suggest giving it a bit of time and drink plenty of water :)

Welcome tink8181 we'll try to help you keep on track!

1-2lb a week is good going cookieowner, keep it up :)

Sorry to hear that jchocchip, I hope you are feeling better today! Blimmin taxi drivers hey! Don't assume it's your fault because it was a bit darker than normal.

Glad the cupcakes were good RGPargy Grin

How are things bexsybooboo, if you're still reading?

OP posts:
jchocchip · 18/10/2012 18:35

I don't think it was my fault, but also I think that its October and I do know how difficult it is to see when driving in the dark. I think he will look out more carefully for cyclists now!

MackerelOfFact · 19/10/2012 09:46

Hello all. I'm doing really badly at the moment. I seem to have been about 200 cals over every day this week - I think it's the cold weather and darkness setting in. Not good.

I mentioned way back on one of the earlier threads that I wanted a size 10 dress to wear to a work do in November. It turns out it's earlier than I thought it was (start of Nov rather than the end) and I'm disappointed that I'm not quite a size 10 yet. Some size 10s fit nicely but others won't even do up. I'm behind where I wanted to be at this stage by about half a stone, which is annoying! I'm creeping towards the 3 stone mark but progress is v-e-r-y slow (see above!)

Groovee · 21/10/2012 10:21

Hi everyone, lost 3lb this week taking me to 22lb loss in 14 weeks. I never manage to hit a target dead on lol. My next target now is 6lb by Christmas as we have 3 birthdays coming up. I can see me having my slimmer body for Florida next year :-).

Dh gained 1lb. So I'm ahead again.

If anyone wants to add me on MFP I'm Grooveecar. My diary is open and people can get a hint of what I eat and get inspiration if you are struggling xx

audley · 21/10/2012 16:05

Hello, hello, just found this. I am Clinsell on MFP and have no friends yet ;0)

Sparklingbrook · 21/10/2012 16:08

Hi all. I fell off the wagon then got run over by it. Sad

Had really bad back pain since last Monday. Now easing thankfully so will be going on a very tentative walk tomorrow to see if I can do it.

Because I couldn't do the walk I got all 'I can't be bothered' and stopped the plan.

Tomorrow is the day. Again.

jchocchip · 21/10/2012 16:41

Hmmm, I like Saturdays because it's parkrunday and I can come in under, but now its Sunday and I'm over already :( Think I will go out for a run and try and get back into credit...

cinnamongreyhound · 22/10/2012 14:15

Well done Groovee!

Welcome audley :)

Come sparklingbrook and jchocchip, you can do it! Make today a great day!!
