struggling with the munchies here, wondering if it is totm or just the time of year...

cinnamongreyhound · 26/10/2012 07:54

Probably both jchocchip!!!!

Quick question, does anyone do a body pump class and how do you record it? Thanks

jchocchip · 27/10/2012 19:32

haven't done bodypump yet since I started mfp :( I would wear a hrm once and use that value. From what I remember, it is a mega burner more energetic than running for an hour...

cinnamongreyhound · 28/10/2012 21:57

What a horrible weekend, really doesn't make you feel like eating well or doing exercise!

Made some chelsea buns today, don't think I will eat many as dh LOVES them. It's really nice as he doesn't like a lot and usually doesn't eat what I bake (would bake more if he would eat more as then baking wouldn't = me eating loads!)

Hope everyone is still plodding along nicely :)

Wow lost you all!!!

I do pump and use my hrm to record my cals burned. Not sure about it being harder than running for an hour tho. It would depend on the weights you use. Also it is strength training and only a little cardio so completely different. On average I will burn between 350-380 cals per class and I don't lift light weights! Good luck and enjoy!

RachelHRD · 29/10/2012 22:32

Hi all :)

New to this thread but DH and I have been using MFP for the last six weeks and I've lost 23 lbs so far and he has lost 25 lbs :)

Have been finding it surprisingly easy although it's a bit disheartening when you hit a 10lb target and then your calorie allowance drops!!

Got lots more to lose but it's heading in the right direction and I've had lots of compliments from friends :)

RGPargy · 30/10/2012 08:09

Hello and welcome Rachel! Well done on yours and DH's losses. You've done amazingly well!

jchocchip · 31/10/2012 07:06

hi rachel, its a lovely feeling when it starts happening!
Heck, too much chocolate. I'm going to have to go cold turkey...one day soon. ;)

cinnamongreyhound · 31/10/2012 21:33

Welcome RachelHRD, that's fantastic weight loss. Well done to you and your husband.

RGPargy · 01/11/2012 06:52

Well done monster!! :o

MonsterBookOfTyFawkes · 01/11/2012 21:25

Thanks RG :o
Newbies I have been giving out my wrong name as forgot I was under a nc.
MFP name is MonsterBookOfTysons

cinnamongreyhound · 03/11/2012 16:06

That's nice to hear MonsterBookOfTyFawkes :)

I have put on 1.5Kg in the last week, have spent the last two days being more careful and have lost 700g of it. I'm happy that I have the willpower when I need it and that it's shifted as quickly as it arrived. I should be ok next week as it's back to school so back to walking miles pushing three under three :)

Gained 2lb last week. Lost 2lb this week. Still need 6lb loss to my 2st by Christmas, fingers crossed x

jchocchip · 05/11/2012 07:21

hmmm have had a number of people remark that I have lost weight this week which is good, I suppose, I am quite a bit lighter than this time last yeaar and much fitter thanks to c25k, but I have put some back on by not logging, eating too much. Really must get back into this...

Groovee · 05/11/2012 07:32

You can do it Jchocchip xx

MackerelOfFact · 05/11/2012 10:54

Hello all, I'm still plodding on MFP despite very little in the way of loss over the past few weeks. I'm fluctuating all over the place, partly TOTM, partly having some pretty excessive days, partly stubbornness on behalf of my flab.

BUT... when I first joined MFP back in May, I said I wanted to wear a size 10 dress for a work do in November. I am very happy to report that I did exactly that. :) I am still about a stone behind where I wanted to be by now, but I'm feeling pretty good about myself after some of the incredible comments I got throughout the entire evening (and the next day at work!) Quite surreal. "Stunning," "absolutely tiny" and "stole the show" were all used. Blush

Anyway, back to reality. I want another stone off by Christmas!

firstpost · 06/11/2012 15:19

Hello :) Just here to say THANKYOU

I read a MFP thread on 5th August this year, shortly after a dreadful "when are you due" convo, and the same day I saw a pic of myself on facebook and cried Blush

The next day I weighed myself for the first time in six years and joined MFP. The best thing I ever did.

Now I weigh 10 stone 6 (a loss of 2 stone 4lb) and have only 6 pounds to go until goal weight.

It would never have happened if I had not stumbled across that thread on MN so it really has changed my life!

So, really, thankyou and best of luck to all of us on this journey.

MonsterBookOfTyFawkes · 06/11/2012 20:24

Well done FirstPost :) You must feel great!

jchocchip · 06/11/2012 21:47

Hurray for firstpost

Yet another person told me I was looking good yesterday evening! Can't believe it really as the scales are refusing to budge but I do know that I look loads better at 18.5 than 21.5 ... I think I could do with booking a holiday, cos I know that would kick start the diet again, but no money at the moment. think I'm going to apply for a new job...

Groovee · 07/11/2012 09:41

Well done First Post xx
