The NO EXCUSES, Now or NEVER slimming thread

Youcanringmybell · 30/08/2012 16:08

This is a thread for those who are pig sick of over eating and binging and have decided enough is enough.

There will be no excuses on this thread...no 'oh but I was due my period' or 'oh but it was left over so I finished it' etc

IF you need to have a nice meal as part of a celebration DO IT but no more excuses - have the meal and move on.

This is a thread for the brave.....this is a thread for the serious. Join at your peril.....

Monday mornings are weigh in - so that we cannot binge on the weekends. I am deliberately being hard on myself and if you want to do it to please join. Even if someone wafts wine and banoffee pie under my nose I will not have it - even if the world is going to end I WILL NOT HAVE IT

weigh in Monday morning and post here

Oh and drink some wine and eat some choc while you still can because on Monday you will be in hell Angry

Tortoise I know what you mean. I bought a coconut smoothie drink from Sainsburys for ds and found it excruciatingly sweet! I think the innocent version is a lot less sickly.
Just had a cheeky Terry's all gold from my birthday chocs. Quite pleased they have lasted three weeks so far - very out of character!

cookieowner · 24/09/2012 13:40

i have a ww quiche for lunch with plain lettuce and tomatoes
i love mayo so its so boring plain!

Goonatic · 24/09/2012 14:14

nanky !!!! Whoop whoop!!! That is brilliant!!!

I have completed, listen...... that's my new keys! We promised to wait till dd1 finished school so that DH can carry me over the threshold (good luck with that) and dd1 can carry dd2 over the threshold too (significantly easier)! I might eve be brave and try to work out how to post a pic on my profile just for today to share with my hungry pals!!!!

TheHumancatapult · 24/09/2012 14:30

NAnKY and everyone else claps all round and since we're trying be healthy lettuce leaf all round

Yay on the completion how exciting

rowingboat · 24/09/2012 14:40

Goon big congrats on the new home! Is it ready to move in or are you planning some alterations/decorating?

Cookie I bought a low fat salad dressing 10 cals per tablespoon, it's quite nice.

Youcanringmybell · 24/09/2012 14:40

YES GOONATIC - Share we are soooo hungry and it would take our minds off of eating

making a aubergine parmagiana for tea which sounds yummy and is only 295 a portion , found on the tesco realfood website

Goonatic · 24/09/2012 14:45

Yeay will do later on! Might even don a disguise and put me and the DDs unit too!!!
rowing it needs an unbelievable amount of work, it hasnt been touched since the 80's!!!, all decorating though... We can live with avocado bath suites for a bit! We can sort most of it ourselves over a year or so but it wil be pretty manky for a bit, not that we gave a shit!!!

Youcanringmybell · 24/09/2012 14:48

You need some of those specs with a fake nose and moustache!!

Aubergine parmagiana Shock - What time do you want me!!??

Will seriously pull my finger out this week.
Well done all of you losers.

Will keep re-reading for inspiration Smile

FuckityFuckFuck · 24/09/2012 16:23

Right, just had a quick read up to see what I've missed.

Hello new people

Fermez You naughty girl Shock Sounds like you had a nice weekend Wink

goon Not done a runner, just been stuck in the 1800's. Back to the present day for a little while now because I'm getting stuck unless I actually stump up some cash (not bleeding likely), and I need to arrange a time to go to the records office to find out why a distant relative was in the workhouse but was quite wealthy Hmm I'm thinking asylum Confused

DS is still crying and clinging to me every morning at drop off but I AM NOT going to reach for the biscuits again. Instead, it will be exercise. At least I will get peace to do it in :)

cookieowner · 24/09/2012 16:37

youcanringmybell I must admit im looking forward to my tea tonight!
ive been far too lazy today , we re moving house in 3 weeks and i need to pack but have done nothing all day
i will make myself get on with it tomorrow as will hopefully burn some calories doing it too as a bonus
I get fed up with same foods too so am always searching for new low fat ideas to try , i like a lot of food on my plate so a low fat meal is good as can have more and still be under my calorie allowance

Youcanringmybell · 24/09/2012 17:20

Well it sounds yummy!!

I have just done a Tesco order to fill the cupboards up for a couple of weeks. I have ordered a TON on different light/ weight watcher meals and cannot wait. All served with vegetables. It is lazy but i am cooking for children at 5pm and then having mine afterwards and I haven't got the energy to cook low fat for myself.
When husband is home we normally eat mostly as a family so will keep cooking then!

Tonight is a leftover frozen portion of chilli and rice - low fat with some sweetcorn. Yummy!!

cookie I love cooking different healthy foods too (when I've got time) please keep sharing with us. Tomorrow I'm going for a Thai Tom yum fish soup, loads of ginger, chilli, lime and coriander. Tonight's dinner will be some kind of dull wrap.

thinking of food when I should be working

Tortoise · 24/09/2012 17:50

Bad dinner tonight! Made a childhood fav! Egg and bacon pie with chips! Got a few miles walking to do in a minute though.

Youcanringmybell · 24/09/2012 18:36

You helped get rid of part of me. A part I plan to never get back. Grin

Nice long uphill walk to drop Dd2 off at club. On the way down me and dd1 did some spurts of jogging! Good fun.

Half an hour before I have to go back up and get her!

Goonatic · 24/09/2012 20:21

Tortoise · 24/09/2012 20:32

Yes! Big goon can do cartwheels in her bedroom now (before the furniture obv ) and little goon can put all her baby stuff in her room as she has enough space for some toys!
We have just bought an old Chesterfield from DHs mate at work which is being delivered as we speak!!!
resi are you doing it all yourself? I reckon we will need to, my old car has just cost us all our decorating money today Sad Angry silly old banger!
