The NO EXCUSES, Now or NEVER slimming thread

Youcanringmybell · 30/08/2012 16:08

This is a thread for those who are pig sick of over eating and binging and have decided enough is enough.

There will be no excuses on this thread...no 'oh but I was due my period' or 'oh but it was left over so I finished it' etc

IF you need to have a nice meal as part of a celebration DO IT but no more excuses - have the meal and move on.

This is a thread for the brave.....this is a thread for the serious. Join at your peril.....

Monday mornings are weigh in - so that we cannot binge on the weekends. I am deliberately being hard on myself and if you want to do it to please join. Even if someone wafts wine and banoffee pie under my nose I will not have it - even if the world is going to end I WILL NOT HAVE IT

weigh in Monday morning and post here

Oh and drink some wine and eat some choc while you still can because on Monday you will be in hell Angry

Wow everyone!!!!!!!!!!! That is mega!!!! I lost one measly pound, but I am premenstrual so I am happy ish with that as on Friday I was two pounds lighter than now so I reckon next week should be a goodie.

We get our keys today (barring some massive disaster) so I am manically trying to pack with my dust mask on and a huge shitty cold sore but I have a house with no kids in until half twelve so I am going to get a cup of cha and get stuck the fuck in!!!!!!!!
Ps anyone seem fuckity lately.....

Goonatic · 24/09/2012 09:06

johnnydepp don't panic, why don't you plot a little chart showing how much you have lost already or something to show you how well you have done, banish those giving up thoughts!!!
Go and make a cup of tea and we can drink them together!

Smile

Worse! Tonsils out! Then I got the cold. Sore to eat, congested so also have ear ache- crappy! DH goes away with work tomorrow so I have to be strong painkiller free so I can drive and look after DC. Suppose at least it all has one benefit ;-)

TheHumancatapult · 24/09/2012 09:51

Tortoise

JohnnyDeppsfuturewife · 24/09/2012 09:54

Thanks goonatic I think I was grumpy because dd2 woke me at 2am and dd1 at 6! Anyway, i have just been surfing monsoon and m and s websites looking at all the lovely new clothes. Feeling better as i decided when I get to a 14 I will treat myself to a new dress.

Well done everyone else on weight loss.

rowingboat · 24/09/2012 10:03

Hi all,
I have weighed in and have lost hardly anything since last Thursday, I was 65.1 kg and I am now 64.8 kg, so that's about half a pound, I think.
Hopefully will lose a pound by next Monday.
I was doing the 5:2 fasting thing and it did help me shift about half a stone in about 3 or 4 weeks, but then I stuck at the same weight (give or take a few ounces) for two weeks. I could have changed to 4:3, but it seemed too hard.
One of the other downsides was, fasting made exercise impossible for me on fasting days, whereas it is easier on a higher number of calories.
On the plus side reducing to 600 cals (supposed to be 500, but couldn't do it) has made eating less and counting calories a lot easier. Anything seems great after 600 a day!
Had a bit of a of a munch last night, as do bought walkers caramelised onion and sea salt crisps - mmmmmm!
So have cut down breakfast to a couple of crackers and two cups of tea.
It's my day off today, so just wondering what to have for lunch?

FuckityFuckFuck · 24/09/2012 10:05

I'm here,I'm here!!

Been looking up my family tree this week and I got a bit lost in it all Blush

I lost 2lbs this morning which I am happy with because I had an awful week last week, with starting nursery, me and OH both on evil late shifts and no exercise. Back to normal this week though.

I am now under 15st :)

rowingboat · 24/09/2012 10:08

Well done on the weight loss everyone! Xxxresi that is a very good loss, is that in a week? Especially as you aren't very heavy anyway.
Hope you feel better! Throats are such misery when they stop you swallowing. Wah!

xxxresixxx · 24/09/2012 10:16

Yes in a week but i put on 5 last week so it will be that coming of too. I really can't eat much- round of toast (takes about an hour) and toddler portions.. It will be good to shrink my stomach for after but I don't have any energy... Hopefully my throat will improve in the few days..

cookieowner · 24/09/2012 10:24

Have just clear out my bedside table, my god what an accumulation of utter shite... also chucked out loads of my most favourtist old silver and gold trainers (massively outs self as a nineties raver)
Well done cookie, fuck and rum
Hello fuck!!! thought you'd done a runner!

Off to tackle DH's bedside table.... I may be some time......

FermezLaBouche · 24/09/2012 10:49

I weighed in at 18st 13lb which is 3lb less that the same time last week. But I know my fluctuation can be that much...
Having a shit day. That bloody guy is in my classroom again, talking over me, confusing the kids. He took their books to mark and I said "thanks mr x but I have to mark them this afternoon anyway" and he's bloody marked them anyway!! In red fucking pen, inane comments like "brill" when the kid's got it all wrong... Can't cope. May shout.

Goonatic · 24/09/2012 11:01

Well done ferm!

Right, this must stop.... Call your union, speak to the head, are they a really weak head?????
look!! this is similar to how we do it, govs have to have a clear reason for coming in, and the are very strict rules about what they can and can't do....... How DARE HE!

and this
Jesus man, this is so outrageous I am incandescent with rage on your behalf, he is undermining you..... I would go to the head and ask if there is a problem with your teaching because you seem to have someone criticising you and observing you. He is not helping you at all is he so it can only be seen as interfering which is unacceptable. Especially when the children are being given inaccurate and rather colloquial feedback???????

Youcanringmybell · 24/09/2012 11:44

I agree FERM this is YOUR classroom and he is taking the piss. I suggest YOU have a word with him. He seems to be a chauvinist that thinks he knows far better than you how to teach.
Time to take him down to China Town.....

nankypeevy · 24/09/2012 12:27

I've lost THREE POUNDS.

Yes, you may applaud me.

rowingboat · 24/09/2012 12:30

Hi all,
Fermez I just wanted to add, don't know much about how it all works in teaching and that all sounds like good advice. I'm taking a lazy non-teacher view, just to add to the mix. I don't suppose you could steer him towards things you don't like or don't have time to do?
I know what you mean there's help and there's interfering chaos!

rowingboat · 24/09/2012 12:31

Nanky clap clap! Whistle!

Tortoise · 24/09/2012 13:21

Well, I was having a healthy lunch but I forgot to buy salad cream and the salad mix I bought wasn't nice without it.
So I decided I was allowed one of my homemade cookies. Nice, but I found them so sweet and a bit sickly!
