I have had a couple of days off as i went to a hen party BBQ and ate for England (not even worrying about the amount I drunk!!)

Back on track now, and am doing well exercise wise. Having crudités and baked Camembert! Yum

sweetkitty · 08/08/2012 21:05

Can I ask those who are on 1200 cals a day what they are eating, daily menus please.

I am finding it so hard to stick to feeling really hungry yet others have said its fine, what are you all eating?

wheredidiputit · 08/08/2012 21:46

Sweetkitty if look at mine (power1969) you can see my food dairy and have at look at what i'm eating.

sweetkitty · 08/08/2012 21:49

Off to find out how to add people ............

cinnamongreyhound · 09/08/2012 07:39

BehindLaneNumberNine · 09/08/2012 09:10

Hello Smile

Am back off holiday, we have had a fantastic week in Holland and Belgium, lots of ice cream, pancakes, chips, waffles and chocolate....
Back to MFP and logging as of today. Won't weigh myself for a week though, not brave enough...

Good to be back (although I would rather be sitting on a terrace in the Grote Markt in Antwerp sipping coffee right now...)

sweetkitty · 09/08/2012 20:37

Better day today, I've been having a nose at the powers diaries. Loads more snacks than me but lower calorie food.

wheredidiputit · 09/08/2012 20:46

sweetkitty

That's my problem I eat healthy meals, but only eat about 1000 cal a day so I'm having to make sure I eat as close to 1200 a day, which I'm find quite hard unless I really watching what I'm doing.

(BTW it's Power1969).

sweetkitty · 09/08/2012 21:05

I'm struggling to keep to 1200 cals, will need to find a way to ramp up the exercise a bit.

I love toast and butter has to be butter and things like mayo and cheese all cal dense. I'm veggie as well.

wheredidiputit · 09/08/2012 21:48

Could you plan all you main meals for the day so you have all your cal accounted for before you start the day.

Just peeked at your profile and your dc are about the same age as mine (dd1 8, dd2 nearly 5 and ds is 3.6mth)

Can add anymore exercise into your day even if you just go for a walk for 30mins with your DC

rachyroodle · 09/08/2012 22:16

Hi, Just marking my place. In my second month of maternity leave and realised that I will have to start doing something as fitted back into pre preg jeans and then stopped fitting into them!

Finding the app really good (3 days in!) and it's a really good thing for making you think before you attack the cake! Would ideally like to lost a stone and a half but not sure if that is realistic and will need to do it slowly as breastfeeding and want to make sure the little one gets all she needs! Adding the bf as daily exercise 275 calories (not sure that is right!) to make sure I am taking it into account. Good luck everyone Grin

cinnamongreyhound · 10/08/2012 07:13

Add bf as food rachyroodle it's gives you -500 if you are ebf which I guess you are 2 months in to maternity leave :)

I'm going out for dinner tonight for my wedding anniversary and may not log it as not sure I'll be able to figure it out. But although the food is rich the portions are small so should be ok. Trying to fit in a run before we go but life is ridiculously hectic at the moment and it will depend when dh gets home to be able to leave the kids and then get ready to go out!

Groovee · 10/08/2012 08:56

Morning All

Heading off on a long walk of 2 miles. Dh is cycling with the boys and me and the girls will walk. Then will try to come back via tesco for lunch.

wheredidiputit · 10/08/2012 10:39

Won't be posting for the next week as of to the Isle of Wight tomorrow.

I may be check in during the week but won't post.

EightToSixer · 10/08/2012 10:48

Another week gone and only down 100g despite tons of swimming, cardio every day, hours of walking around legoland and eating sensibly. I'm due a good weigh in next week I reckon. I'd like to lose 6lbs before I go to Florida in 16 days but it looks unlikely. At least I'm fitter for all the exercise I've been doing I guess and I'm definitely in smaller clothes.

Does anyone know how many days you can not log in to still retain your progress? I'm going away for 16 days, I have wifi in resort but not sure I'll remember to log every day.

AnuvvaMuvva · 10/08/2012 11:15

Hello - I'd love to join this thread as I want to use MFP to lose a stone.

I just tried to download the iPhone app, but it went to "update" instead and I realised I've had it on my phone for TWO YEARS without using it! Blush The News page is just a litany of all the times I haven't logged in.

Please add me to your MFP friends. I'm encouraged by the stat that says MFP users with friends lose 3x weight as those going it alone. Maybe you'll all help me to remember to log in!

Anyway, I'm on 1200 cals a day (did I set that, or does it calculate it for you|) and my goal is to lose 14lb, and get to the gym 4x week. (I think the old, healthier, me added that goal. The new, unfit, me would be happy just to get off the sofa 4x week.)

I have a big holiday in August 27 and would love to have crashed off 5-7lbs by then.

Hello!

Dysgu · 10/08/2012 11:39

Can I join this thread too? I only discovered MFP on Tuesday this week; I had seen it mentioned before but had never thought about using it as have never dieted before

However, during our house swap holiday last week there were scales in the bathroom (we do not own any!) and I weighed myself...reality check!

So now I need to get rid of this 'big, fat belly' (to quote my DDs, 5 and 3yo) although what I really need is to eat a more balanced diet with less chocolate and fizzy drinks in it.

I need to get sorted on some exercise too...

Please add me on MFP - same name as here.

AnuvvaMuvva · 10/08/2012 11:52

Dysgu, we are friends! We will get slim and stunning! Oh yes!

AnuvvaMuvva · 10/08/2012 14:54

MFP is brilliant. I've realised I've wasted 250 precious calories on BISCUITS. :O

Plus, I'm away for 4 days from tonight and this way, I know I will be able to track what I eat. Yay! Good news, seeing as i'm off to Edinburgh: home of the deep-fried pizza.

sweetkitty · 10/08/2012 21:45

Wheredidiputit - just looked at my profile and it's a wee bit out of date I'm nearer 37 than 32 and I have 4 DC not 3 Grin DS is over 2 now!!!

Today was going great until dinner time when we had a BBQ. Oh well.

Dysgu · 11/08/2012 08:24

I am getting in to this now and quite enjoying it. Using MFP is certainly helping me think twice about snacking and that has got to be a good thing.

How is the calories/daily goal calculated on MFP? Does it work it out from your weight and the amount you say you want to lose each week? I put I want to aim for 1lb a week and it has set me at 1350 calories - which I am staying (well) within - apart from on Tuesday (but we were travelling and they only sold GRAB BAG sized crisps!)

Is there a set day for weigh-ins on this thread? Only I weighed myself on last day of holiday(Tuesday) and bought scales yesterday and have just weighed myself. I don't know if they are both accurate but I have lost 2lb since Tuesday.

GeekLove · 11/08/2012 08:42

I'm hopin this week spells the end of my gain but I am due my AF next week. I am mostly trying to low carb - avoid bread and crisps but permit fruit for instance. Have had success cutting out chocolate and sugar but am left with the fact there is 2kg of sugar in the kitchen I have no use for!

Anybody else find it hard to eat more protien? I want to get at least 25% of my calories from protien but I am dinging well if I can get 20%

According to the wii fit I was 66kg again! Will weigh myself today but the tape measure tells a different story
I am now 73cm waist, 104cm hips and 57cm on the thighs which is the smallest I have been for nearly 3 years soni must be doing something right. I have been doing Jillian Micheals 4 times a week but reckon I need 10000 steps a day as well and other weights on the days off.

GeekLove · 11/08/2012 08:43

Doing well -damn Iphone

Dysgu · 11/08/2012 14:06

GeekLove I wonder if the exercise is creating more muscle which weighs more than fat - so your weight would stay the same but your body would be changing. That seems to be indicated by the measurements.

(Not that I know much about this or anything but I am just waiting until my clothes fit better and then I will know it is making a difference.)
