Obviouslyitstheolympics and RGPargy. Yes I've set it to my weight, which is probably about twice my ideal-but-would-never-achieve weight. Would that mean I burnt twice as much?

Lolalollipop · 03/08/2012 17:49

Groovee I have just ordered a Pilates DVD from amazon called 10 min solutions pilates. It hasn't landed yet but I have the boot camp one which is fab so am sure it will be a good one.

Had a better day today but haven't logged. Gonna get back to the routine tomorrow. Feeling better for logging in here too. X

LollipopViolet · 03/08/2012 18:20

Spinning for me tomorrow, then a normal workout because I am determined as hell to lose some weight before holiday.

I've found cutting out fizzy drinks, to be one of my better moves, I'm feeling so much better for it :) Dunno if it's helped me lose weight, only on day 3 and I don't officially weigh in til Monday :)

twinkle183 · 03/08/2012 18:30

Evening girls!!!

Having a good day food wise, think I might be brave and start to let friends to have a look and advise me where I am going wrong.... Am about to go do insanity.... Just watching the lens cycling first Wink

Wish me luck girls..... Will catch up with thread later!! X

Niceupthedance · 03/08/2012 20:10

Evening all, SWpanda checking in from a sea of tissues...

Just wanted to agree about mfp overestimating cal burns! Since I've had my fitbit, and it shows the actual cals burned from movement, I have realised why I wasn't losing weight! On a typical non-gym day I might burn 1700, so need to be eating 1200 to lose a pound a week. Mfp has me on 1470 cals per day on lightly active, therefore making any loss a bit unlikely...

Will I have to change to sedentary? I don't feel bloody sedentary running around all day after my 19mo!!

RGPargy · 03/08/2012 21:10

Hi everyone :)

It's funny how we are all secret junk lovers/eaters. Today work had a pizza lunch but i resisted and went for the salad instead. It was bloody hard but i'm glad i did it! It's when i get tired that i crave rubbish. Like now. Still at work and will be here til 2am. Luckily i have a yoghurt and a salad in teh fridge for when i get the boredom nibbles. Just had my dinner of some lamb meatballs and salad which was quite yummy.

Hopefully i wont be too knackered for tomorrow's gym session - spin at 9am followed by pump at 10am! I will be shattered but oh well..... Hmm

Have a good evening all. :)

twinkle183 · 04/08/2012 08:28

Morning ladies ((waves)) I am off to have a good breakfast before I hit the gym! I seem to have a new zest and a spring in my step! Lots to do today and my dd is already drinking my mad!! She is 5 going on 16, her attitude is awful.... Must be tough! Any advice?? Hmm

RG hope your not too tired this morning?? Good luck with the gym session....

RGPargy · 04/08/2012 14:47

She's drinking your mad?!! Wow she must be bad!! ;-)

Got home just after 3am and was in the gym doing spin at 9am followed by pump at 10 and a well earned coffee lol. Feeling shattered now tho. Early night is on the cards.......

Glad you are feeling more lively twink Grin

MommyUpNorth · 04/08/2012 15:31

So impressed (and jealous!) of all of you doing such great work at the gym!! I'm not sure that our gym (council gym attached to the pool) does any classes. The last time I had a peek in the machines looked rather shabby, but maybe I'll have another look in the hope that they've modernized a bit! :)

DH just got home with the shopping and 'helpfully' brought me a bakewell tart!

I've ordered a pilates dvd & the ripped one as well... hoping they come soon as I want to mix in some other things with the shredding/walking.

Period started this morning so anyone following my food diary will notice a serious change in food choice! Hoping to not fall off the wagon too much over the weekend as we have a day out on Monday where there will be very little healthy eating, so I need to prepare!

Hope everyone is enjoying the weekend! :)

wheredidiputit · 04/08/2012 15:46

mommyupnorth

I'm also impressed with every doing their classes/gym. I barely make swimming once a week at the moment.

It should be easier once dc are back at school as the new swimming pool the local council have built is in walking distance from their school/nursery. So I will drop them to school and walk (about 1/2 a mile) to the pool do some swimming and get back to pick dc up at 11.40 from nursery.

cinnamongreyhound · 05/08/2012 09:37

The only suggestion I would make twinkle183 is to be consistent and mean what you say with your dd!! I have a ds who is also 5, I love the holidays because he's not tired from school and such a good boy :). Having said that just recently he's been really defiant with dh and answers him back a lot.

I am exactly the same MommyUpNorth! As soon as its totm I just crave junk, the rest of time I like something sweet but can easily resist and enjoy fruit a lot more. Just chose your worst time or favourite thing and then try to resist the rest! I don't go to the gym as I really any afford it but I started the c25k in January and now run three times a week and love it! Free, quick as once you're outside you've started and anyone can do it.

Went to a wedding blessing of ds1's old childminder yesterday. Was so romantic, was a total surprise to her and he asked her of she'd marry him again in a church full of people. Was very interested afterwards as she has recently lost 4st with slimming world and still goes every week to maintain. They had slimming world food for people to try and you can see the ladies who've lost weight looking very proud of themselves in nice dresses (I was one!) :)

Groovee · 05/08/2012 09:47

Lost 2lb this week. Am delighted.

wheredidiputit · 05/08/2012 09:54

Well done Groovee.

I'm putting weight back on, although I think it's because it's the time of the month and because it's school holiday I'm not able to fir in exercise. As it would mean getting up at 5am before ds wakes or doing when they are all in bed have had dinner and cleared up, so after 8pm. By which time I can't be bothered.

So feel free to kick me up the backside and get me motivated Grin.

Goingunderfast · 05/08/2012 09:55

Groveee thats fantastic well done, ive lost a pound but haven't logged as got my weight wrong on mfp so i have one more pound then can log again Blush keep up the good work ladies even if your struggling! keep going! it will pay off in the end.

MommyUpNorth · 05/08/2012 14:32

wheredidiputit our pool is normally all booked up with kids swimming when they go back to school, so it would be too hard to try to work around that. Due to child protection you can't lane swim during that time.

That sounds lovely cinnamon... the weight loss and the 2nd proposal!

Way to go Groovee! I dropped a pound after signing up on Monday and stupidly logged it, but of course it was probably just some water weight, and now being that time of the month, I'm really only .8 of a pound down, so we'll see what weigh in morning brings tomorrow! I haven't gained, so that's something! :)

I tend to weigh every morning just to kind of keep an eye on things, and I was actually going to log in in mfp... does anyone do that? Or does it just make a mess of your readings? I just jot it down in my diary for the moment, but if it was in mfp then I could tie up bad/good eating/exercise and see what works best!?

wheredidiputit · 05/08/2012 14:41

Mommy

They haven't finish building the pool yet not due to open until beginning of September.

I tend to only weigh once a week, but my DH weighs and logs every day.

Groovee · 05/08/2012 16:21

I only weigh in once a week. I've found this to be the best way. Lost 4lb in 2 weeks. As long as I get my 1200 cals I am happy but am aiming to loose 1lb a week.

I messed up my weight at first but have managed to rectify it but found it easier on the ipad.

PinkCustard · 05/08/2012 16:39

Nice I've got a Fitbit and the way I use it is to set MFP to sedentary and then MFP adds the FB adjustment, which ups my cals from 1200. HTH

Niceupthedance · 05/08/2012 19:56

Ah thanks pink, that makes more sense!

sweetkitty · 05/08/2012 22:22

Fell off the wagon again this weekend, wasn't feeling well today just ate rubbish all day, back on tomorrow.

I think my key is exercise I do none Blush
it's hard I have 4 DC 8 to 2 & a DP who works long hours, I cannot get away I have the WiiFit could mess about on that with the DC.

Keep hearing about this shred DVD what's it like? DP said he would do it he's recently joined the gym as he has a knee injury so can't run just now (he's a marathon runner).

Goingunderfast · 05/08/2012 22:53

Sweetkitty i use the 30 day shred and it is good. its basically 20 mins of cardio and strength. my dh and i do it via the lap top and youtube! Haha the workout that is Grin As im tight and dont want to pay for dvd Blush

Goingunderfast · 05/08/2012 22:59

Groovee i messed mine up to on mfp, how i dont knowBlush but its annoying that you cant rectify weight without it showing on months progress. Think its the stone and pound conversion as math never been my strong point. Grin

HaggisMcNeeps · 05/08/2012 23:53

I'm jen_mcg on mfp. I have added lots of you...please accept, I need lots of encouragement and will reciprocate. Only started 2 days ago, doing okay so far. Got a long (3 stones) to go!

sweetkitty · 06/08/2012 07:33

It's my birthday in 2 weeks think I'll ask for it then, I need to do something, my SPD excuse is 2 years old now!

Welcome HaggisMcNeeps

ihatethecold · 06/08/2012 08:22

Hi haggis and kitty. I'm pinkjan4288 on mfp. Feel free to add.
Kitty try ripped in 30 by jillian Michaels.
I much prefer to 30ds. Seems to be over quicker. Grin
