Wow my iPhone just went crazy, sorry for the posts!!

Cinnamon it must be frustrating to go slow, but can you run to meet her? Or use it as a warm up for a speed session? I'm sure she is just in awe of your running prowess and is hoping to be like you!

I have been looking at some of you food diaries and the number of calories in the sections doesn't add up to the total at the top, it is significantly less ( petd and jchocchip ) I don't know of I can't see every thing like quick added for example but have been very puzzled! Some others are correct but I wondered if anyone else has noticed this and what causes it?!?

Anyway did ripped in 30 for the 4th time this week. Still haven't managed a run, but I'm going to express now, and then start the c25k plan.

cinnamongreyhound · 22/07/2012 08:50

Are you on an app karatekimmi? It happens to me a lot, someone suggested its something to do with where people log the food. If you go to the website you can see it all there :). I did suggest I'd run to hers and go from there but she wants to come to mine. Been thinking I could just run ahead and then go back to her if I get too far ahead. She might be great but sometimes I think people overestimate their fitness and it's taken me nearly 7 months to be able to run this fast!

RGPargy · 22/07/2012 09:36

Hi everyone :-). Am off to a step day today at David Lloyd in dartford. 5 hours of step with international presenters. God help my knee!! Will be posting calorie burns throughout the day lol Grin

tostaky · 22/07/2012 09:47

5 hours if step?? Insane!! Good luck to you Smile

LollipopViolet · 22/07/2012 11:15

Hmmm, my scales have said, for the past 2 days that I've lost another pound. Do I log it or wait another day?

Gym again tomorrow - yay! Might look and see if there are any classes on, I haven't done one for ages!

bexsybooboo · 22/07/2012 14:27

Hey ladies. Haven't been logging but still sticking to it quite well.

Haven't been on either site for a while busy with work and home Smile

Well only 1 sleep til we fly off for 2 weeks leaving at 4.30am cant wait. Will be back logging when we're back and all the washing has been done Grin an defo back to gym am already missing pump Grin

Good luck over the next 2 weeks look forward to reason through both MFP and mumsnet Grin

PinkCustard · 22/07/2012 14:51

OMG Pargy good luck!!

What's your official weigh-in day Violet? I'd be tempted to wait til then, I tried to weigh myself this morn but the sun was so bright in the bathroom I couldn't read the digital screen! Possibly for the best - I went over yesterday, BUT I was still under my total calorie output for the day so according to MFP would stay the same, which I think is quite good for my 1st Saturday of MFP-ing and especially when it was my wedding anniversary. I only had 1 small glass of champagne and then just didn't fancy any more, take out was lovely, but I didn't over stuff myself either.

Have a lovely time Bexsy!!

LollipopViolet · 22/07/2012 20:06

Pink, I do a Monday weigh in, and then will do a Friday one too - I find being out during the week harder than the weekends where I'm usually at home, so I use the Friday one as a reminder to be good!

I've not logged the loss, I will wait til tomorrow. Gym tomorrow, no classes that I fancy so I shall have to entertain myself as it were.

Annoyingly, I think I left the armband for my phone at the gym, although it was v uncomfortable, so no big loss. I'm hopefully going to find a phone case that clips to my belt in town tomorrow after the gym.

Elainey1609 · 22/07/2012 23:22

Well done everyone for your weight loss, you are doing fantastic
omg 5 hours of step, that is insane and my worst night mare lol, but worth it in the end due to results.

Quick query, what are most peoples target calorie goal on mfp...as mine is quite high, how do i bring it down.

Fell free to add me on mfp....Elainey1609

cinnamongreyhound · 22/07/2012 23:36

Too decrease the calorie allowance you'd have to increase your target weight loss, change your activity level to sedentary or lose weight :)

cinnamongreyhound · 22/07/2012 23:37

Mine is 1310 btw, 5'5 and 9st 10 now. Activity level is lightly active and 1lb weight loss per week. Really need to set it to maintain now but so scared!

Groovee · 23/07/2012 08:38

Hiya, I'm Grooveecar as once again someone had pinched Groovee. Started fully using yesterday. Under calories as I was too full.

Look forward to chatting x

BehindLockNumberNine · 23/07/2012 09:35

Hi Elainey,

I would not fiddle with the calorie allowance mfp has set for you providing you put in your accurate start weight, your goal weight, your activity level and a realistic amount you wish to lose each week.

Mine started off at around 1800kcal per day, now that I have lost 34lbs I am down to 1600 per day.
Your allowance will decrease as your weight does Smile

snapespeare · 23/07/2012 14:42

just checking in - 3lbs off this week, total is 22lbs in eight weeks(? cant remember when i started...) around 28lbs to go i think. I'm starting o have difficulty in eating daily allowance, so need to be careful, but I also like giving myself a weekly allowance of 7 x 1200 and banking unused calories for wine weekends. MFP doesnt really seem to support aggregation does it? or am I missing something?

LollipopViolet · 23/07/2012 16:12

Checking in today. 1lb off, so gone from 13st4 to 12st13 in about 3 weeks.

Although because MFP uses my ORIGINAL starting weight, they're saying it's only 2.5lbs off, not 5. Hmph.

Groovee · 23/07/2012 17:42

Well done on the weight loss ladies x

GeekLove · 23/07/2012 23:08

It's amazing the difference a trip to the reasturant can make! I'm not worried though as long as one is generally at or just under calorie goal - this in lifes exercise calories you will lose weight.
I need to sharpen up and have a weigh in day, only reason I haven't is I wimp out! I must remember weight does fluctuate - I get a dip just after my period for instance.
I do find the diaries instructive - have been eating way too little protien so far!

LollipopViolet · 24/07/2012 12:25

Well, I've joined an MFP challenge. I am going to attempt to lose 15lbs by September 3rd - Labor Day in the US, and 4 days before my holiday. If I can do it for the 1st, my friend's wedding, that'd be awesome :)

Now, need to find something for lunch. Might have cereal since I wokr up late and missed breakfast - doh!

ihatethecold · 25/07/2012 06:59

I have been trying to change my carb/fat/protein ratio on MFP but I can't seem to find how to do it.

Carb settings are too high!

Elainey. Mine is set at 1350. I don't have much to lose. I'm 5'2 and weigh 138lbs. Would like to weigh 130lbs.
Weight is not shifting really but I have lost some inches !
It is also making me do much more exercise than I usually do. Which is a good thingGrin

ihatethecold · 25/07/2012 07:00

My MFPname is Pinkjan4288 by the way if anyone wants to add me!

EightToSixer · 25/07/2012 08:15

Well, it's shifting. Wii fit has me at having lost 5lb since Saturday, the scales have it as .3 of a kg ?! But I'm logging the scales weight only on MFP.
I'm exercising every single day and trying to only eat my minimum calories not the extra exercise calories and I can see in my clothes and in the mirror that I've lost weight. So I'm keeping this up, just over a month till holidays :)

Megan74 · 25/07/2012 17:56

Hi,

It's my first day following MFP properly. I have 1200 cals which doesnt feel much. I had problems sticking to it for the first few days but that was definitley down to me not recording everything.

Is anyone else having problems with the App?It keeps saying it cant connect to the server.

Well done to all the successes.I shall have a read through once the children are in bed.

Meg.

RandomUsername · 25/07/2012 19:38
