Smelly - how shit. But you have to wonder what issues people who post comments like that have themselves. Loads, probably.

RG, sounds like a plan. I try not to go on my scales every day because it's too depressing when they don't move. Even though you have bad days, at least you haven't given up. That guy in the van was a nob. You should have turned round and said "unlike your penis you mean?" Angry

This thread is moving double quick! My laptop is bust at the moment but I will try and find some of you new people on mfp. I'm SWPanda in case you see me first.

nimbs · 18/07/2012 21:07

that is shitty smelly :( bloody twat - but lovely that you got your treat first - a hair cut is the first thing I'm getting done once I've reached my goal weight :)

Well done everyone on your weight losses - haven't weighted myself this week - bloody good job really as haven't done any exercise for nearly 2 weeks - combination of being super busy and then poorly - so zumba tomorrow so it will probably kill me!

cinnamongreyhound · 18/07/2012 22:13

I also weigh every day but only log if it goes down (regularly put weight on at certains points of the month).

That?s great going snapespeare!

You can do it sparkleshine you?ve got this far. Now that you know you are snacking more you can find ways to combat it. 2lb off in a month is better than 2lb on :) and keep logging.

Welcome frazzlerock, Amateurish, I am often hungry at bedtime but I try not to eat then as it?s the worst time! And Pinkcustard.

Fantastic ViviPru!!!!!

You?ve both done so well OneTwoOrThree and BehindLockNumberNine :)

That?s really shit smellylittleorange, what a horrible thing to say. I?d guess it?s down to jealousy but there is just no need for anything like that!

Not waffling at all RGPargy, sounds very sensible to me. Give it a go or better still take them to a friends house so you can?t cheat! It sounds like you have been unlucky with the people you meet. I was 18 1/2st at 5?5? and I never had a single comment about my weight.

I am knackered today! Been on a trip with ds1, we walked there and back (as well as usual walk to school and back) and spent all but 30 mins on our feet. Poor little guy was so grumpy when we got home. Also feeling a bit overwhelmed, they have changed the EYFS framework and I'm going on a course this sat so need to read it before then, plus I have started Bodyshop at home to try and bring in a bit of extra cash and I am the treasurer of our local preschool and have recently taken over doing the accounts. This is on top of working 50hrs a week with 2 new (one 3 months ago and one 5 weeks ago) babies to look after as well as my other minded children and my own two. Needless to say my house isn't as clean as I'd like. The problem is I don't sleep well with so much to think about and then I'm tired! Still, no children other than ds2 during school hours tomorrow so a bit more chilled. But I forced myself out for a run tonight and glad I did :)

ObviouslyOblivious · 19/07/2012 08:17

Can I join you all? I'm a WW graduate having lost over three stone in a year and I'm already scared of going it alone! I'd like to lose slightly more but plateaued/got bored of WW the last few months. My log in is kirisox.

cinnamongreyhound · 19/07/2012 14:37

Welcome ObviouslyOblivious, did you do the c25k in January? Your nn is very familiar :)

RedHotPokers · 19/07/2012 14:42

Marking my place after a break!
Been on holiday for a few weeks. Stopped doing MFP the weeks before and after holidays (plus OF COURSE holidays!). Had put 3lb back on, but have managed to lose it again since starting again 10 days ago - phew!

So back where I was 6 weeks ago (although had a fab holiday so can't complain!). Half a stone lost, 12lbs to go (trying to get to 11.5stone - am 5'11").

Haven't been doing to badly, although not quite as dedicated as pre-holiday. Am staying slightly under 1500 almost every day, but its a real struggle.

ObviouslyOblivious · 19/07/2012 16:36

Hi, yes I've been doing C25K. Had a long break due to illness, just got up to week 8, ready to run some of the home commute during the Olympics and I've hurt my hamstring :( So I'll have to redo it again!

PinkCustard · 19/07/2012 20:54

Thanks to those who added me on MFP. Whoever said it's quite addictive was right!

Managed a Body Combat class tonight for the first time in ages - had forgotten just how hard it is, but enjoyed it. Resting my legs tomorrow then Step on Saturday. Couldn't wait to get home to see how many cals I'd earned

PinkCustard · 19/07/2012 20:56

Also to anyone who's considering a Fitbit I'd highly recommend it. It links up to MFP and records all your activity. I've set my activity level on MFP as sedentary and then get calories for any activity I do - it's very motivating.

EightToSixer · 19/07/2012 21:02

Pinkcustard can you tell me more about fitbit? I've seen it on amazon (the wireless is on offer) but do you wear it? Like they do on biggest loser? Or not? How does it pick up what you've done? Etc.... Thank you :)

GeekLove · 19/07/2012 21:09

smelly
Sorry you have been on the receiving end of some dickwaddery but when people are being unpleasant it is saying more about them than you.
Ps if you and others want to add me I am iateallthebees.

See you later

PinkCustard · 19/07/2012 21:11

You clip it on like a pedometer (but it's so much more!). Then it links to the Fitbit website and uploads your data wirelessly whenever you're near the computer. It tracks steps, but can also tell how fast you're going, and how high you go, so climbing steps are recorded separately too - you get awarded 'badges' for walking so many steps or a certain height. You can also log other activities, e.g. I entered Body Combat manually as I didn't want it flying off mid-class, but even if I'd worn it I could also enter the activity manually and it wouldn't count it twice but adjusts cal burn etc for the time I enter Body Combat for. It's very clever. I've had mine just over a week and love it. It's definitely upped my daily activity and general walking, but it's even more effective now I've linked it to MFP.

LollipopViolet · 20/07/2012 20:30

Hello everyone :)

Another pound gone, so I'm finally back below my starting weight. Need to shift some more weight before me and mum go to Prague in September (booked today) :)

tostaky · 20/07/2012 21:56

Well done lollipop!!! I'd love to go to Prague too, lucky you!

Argh stop talking about the fitbit... I really want one but I'm worried I'll obsess too much...

LollipopViolet · 20/07/2012 22:16

tostaky, I'm very excited - although not a great flyer and my last flight in October was a bit scary so I'm already worried I'll have a similar experience. But I'm on another board with fellow fearful flyers for that so won't bore you all with that :)

I've GOT to be able to be comfortable in jeans though, with going in September, it might be cold! At the moment most of mine are too tight, I'm living in 3/4 length ones as I REFUSE to buy bigger ones!

Gym tomorrow I think, for some more punishment self improvement.

PinkCustard · 21/07/2012 09:29

Well done Lollipop - I so want to book a holiday, just been looking but all too expensive...

I've got a confession to make - after I logged everything yesterday I then had 2 BIG glasses of wine and some crisps (the shame!). But feel crap today as a result so back on it. Will eat well and am off to Step later.

karatekimmi · 21/07/2012 09:41

Morning all, I'm feeling a bit achy after Day 3 of ripped in 30 by Jillian Micheals! I am "enjoying" doing it but wish I could get out for a run! Unfortunately having baby puts pay to that! Plus the extra planning - I think I'll need to express before I go out to minimise boob pain!

I need to get back with tracking as have half heatedly dine it the last couple of days, and have had a crap day. Although the weather looks good so it might be a good excuse for a nice long walk!

Megan74 · 21/07/2012 11:13

Hello. May I join?I was goign to do food focud but then remembered MFP.I need to lose 2 stone. I am starting today after arsing about for weeks. My MFP nameis carryonslimming. I havent tiometo read through the thread now as I really should be sorting my hole of a house out.Hello all Smile

EightToSixer · 21/07/2012 12:42

Thanks for the info about fitbit pinkcustard (by the way, your name is familiar, were you on the big mofo board a opulent of years ago?) I might well look into the fitbit when I'm back from holiday.

So, I've finally started losing, 2.7 kg since getting the new scales 5 days ago, but makes up for the OSS of only 0.25 kg in the first week. I've been exercising at let once a day fr 30 mins or more, I even jogged about 30 steps twice in my power walk yesterday and that's a big huge thing for me because I'm so heavy and was so sedentary before starting this. My focus is Florida in 5 weeks. I want to be fit enough to cope with walking round theme parks all day every day. The humidity won't be my friend while we are there, but I'm hoping that the walking and swimming will mean I don't put on more than a kg while I'm there despite eating yummy food!

PinkCustard · 21/07/2012 15:00

No Eight that wasn't me. Lucky you going to Florida - I'm looking at booking somewhere for Feb half-term, does anyone know where's hot at that time of year (although not Caribbean-type destinations as can't stretch to that unfortunately)?

I'm still regretting the wine last night - not only did it mess up my totals for yesterday, but it's also made me really hungry today! Am going to limit myself to a maximum of 1 glass a couple of times a week at the most. Now I've started going out to exercise classes a few nights a week I've cut down anyway without even trying. I'm being forced to have a glass of champagne (and a take away!!) tonight as it's our wedding anniversary, but I've learnt my lesson from yesterday and won't be over-indulging.

Have just been out for a brisk walk in a bid to earn a few extra cals in preparation, and am expecting Step will earn me a fair few too.

PinkCustard · 21/07/2012 15:01

Also Eight if you're thinking of a Fitbit you might want it before your hol as it'll be great for tracking your miles round the theme parks.

Niceupthedance · 21/07/2012 17:25

Pinkcustard - I've got a fitbit too! Not been wearing it for a week as my laptop exploded and I couldn't work out why it wasn't updating as usual when I got the pc back. Have sorted that now though. I like it, especially the cals in v out "live report" on the fitbit website!

Well my scales are finally on the move, 2lbs lost this week so 5lbs in total. I have been doing mfp for around three months and lost nothing until the last three weeks. I really needed to eat much less than mfp was suggesting. And probably eat more of the right sort of food, not calories from junk. I am following the Allen Carr principles from his lose weight day I went to, but not totally given up sugar like the first week (where I lost nothing, think my body was in shock). I have had a couple of ice lollys, but no buns, biscuits, crisps or cake type things. So I'm quite pleased with myself!

Just been out all day at the beach, pushing the buggy over the sand, chasing my toddler. Felt a bit sad that I have no friends to come with me (new to area and single parent) but it was a lovely day, DS's first time at the seaside!

cinnamongreyhound · 21/07/2012 18:24

Well done RedHotPokers for losing your holiday weight so quickly!

Well done on another lb lollipopViolet!

Hope you got back to logging karatekimmi.

Welcome Megan74!

Glad the weight is shifting for you EightToSixer :)

Forget the wine now PinkCustard that was yesterday and you've learnt from it! I cant help on the holiday as I haven't left the country for 8 years so really no idea where would be a good place to go. A lot of people I know in rl are going to turkey but I don't know how warm it is in feb.

Glad you're losing niceupthedance and the the weight loss day was useful. Nice that you had a good time with your ds, I often go out on Saturdays with just my boys as dh has to work and my friends tend to spend time with their oh's at weekends but it's always lovely. You'll soon settle in to the area and meet people :)

Well I had 9 days of sts and have lost 500g in the last three days so I guess I do need to up the calories. I'm not upset to be losing a bit more but am happy as I am so need to make an effort to maintain now. Had a fab run today, although it was a bit too warm for my liking at 3. Have a friend who's asked to come with me, not sure how I feel about it but I said yes and she's coming Wednesday- she currently does no exercise and I don't really want to slow having improved my speed over the last month or so. That's sounds really selfish I know and it would be nice to have some company but I also like it as time to empty my brain!

MonsterBookOfTysons · 21/07/2012 18:49

I got down to 10st 2.4lb and now it has gone up a little, but it is TOTM to be fair!
I am hoping after TOTM I will be down a lb, I am not setting my hopes to high :o

LollipopViolet · 21/07/2012 19:30

Well, been to the gym, had a healthy dinner and a healthy-ish lunch. Then ruined it with a sundae after lunch. Although I'm under calories I know I can't eat sundaes regularly, so I still say it's a blowout day.

Couldn't even finish the sundae, unheard of for me when it comesz to ice cream and cake and all that loveliness!
