Are we friends on mfp ihatethecold? I have same name as here, feel free to look at my diary it's open to friends. I have kept to calories mainly by cutting down, so just have smaller portions was very hungry to start with but after first three weeks was fine. I have porridge or shredded wheat for breakfast 300ish calories, loads of different stuff for lunch but try to keep below 300 calories, anywhere between 300 and 500 for dinner and snacks. Have a look at my diary and it will give you an idea. Definitely recommend weighing food to start with as you'd be surprised how much somethings weigh!

ihatethecold · 10/07/2012 14:33

i do weigh things all the time. its shocking how much a portion of something
like muesli is !
cinnamon, we are friends on mfp. Im pinkjan4288.

wheredidiputit. how do you manage until lunch on only a yoghurt???

MackerelOfFact · 10/07/2012 14:53

Breakfast

Raspberries - Raw, 66.67 g = 35
Jordans - Super Berry Granola 15 g = 78
Total: 170

Lunch
Abokado - Heaps of Herbs Crystal Rolls, 1 portion (215g) = 231

Dinner
Fish pie n peas, 1 serving = 554

Snacks
Skips - Tingly Prawn Cocktail (21.5 g - 25% Extra Free), 1 packet = 114
Tesco - Value Choc Ices, 1 choc ice = 95
Cadbury's - Mini Dairy Milk Bar, 1 bar = 80
3 Cups of tea with skimmed milk = 30

wheredidiputit · 10/07/2012 14:57

As I said up thread the reason I have put on weight is because I'm nor eating enough. I also don't get hungry in the morning.

I actually fine it quite hard to eat 1200cal in a day. So by making myself eat more I have lost 8lbs in 3 weeks.

MonsterBookOfTysons · 10/07/2012 18:23

Argh bad day today, I am not logging the Bailey's, will really bahave till next weigh in Tuesday!

CleoSmackYa · 10/07/2012 20:25

Going to give this a serious go! Will start befriending some of you.

VoldemortsNipple · 11/07/2012 07:38

Hi, just started MFP yesterday and im in love with the little barcode thingy. Id love a few buddys on mfp if anybody would like to be my friend.

My name is SearchingForHallows

Some cheeky bar-stool is out there in virtual land impersonating me. I went to put my nickname into mfp and it said "sorry somebody already has voldemortsnipple, please choose another name!" How rude. VN is my name. :o

Anyway rant over.... Would you like to be my friend. I have a stone to lose and need to get more fit and healthy :)

LollipopViolet · 11/07/2012 09:19

Yay, have lost a pound, so two overall, although because mfp goes by my starting weight, it's only saying 0.5lbs lost! Bah.

Anyway, today will be a good day :)

EightToSixer · 11/07/2012 09:28

Cleopatra and VN, I'm relatives new to this too, but can't work out how to add people on the app. Feel free to add me though...

MonsterBookOfTysons · 11/07/2012 20:00

Niceupthedance · 11/07/2012 20:32

Evening all.

Well it is day 4 after my Allen Carr (stop smoking guy, not Alan Carr with the teeth) lose weight day and... I feel like shit! Hurray!

Actually it's cos I've stopped eating sugar and white carbs (apart from a fab lolly yesterday and a cereal bar today as totm). I have been eating mostly salad, fruit, veg, tiny bit of protein. I'm supposed to not log cals and just go by empty/satisfied but I have been, and coming out at roughly 1200 or under with exercise. Cor blimey!

Finding it all rather interesting so far, apart from the heinous sugar withdrawals ughhhh - anyone know how long this lasts??

Hello any new joiners, I am SWpanda if you want to find me on mfp Smile

RGPargy · 12/07/2012 06:48

Hi everyone Grin

Sorry I've not posted on here for a while - been busy flapjack making for my friend and am currently attempting to make making a novelty birthday cake for my son's birthday today (he's 22 today lol). Luckily he's not coming round to see me til after he finishes work today so it gives me a few more hours to finish it off later today. If it doesn't look too horrendous I'll post a pic up. Not expecting much tho as I'm not very good at stuff like this!

Newbies feel free to add me. Same name as here! Grin

ihatethecold · 12/07/2012 09:42

well i was up at 6.30am today to do 30ds dvd..
i must be mental!

talk about no pain no gain..

im losing inches not pounds though, which i suppose is ok.

karatekimmi · 12/07/2012 13:29

Jillian michaels ripped in 30 was on sky so I taped it and did it this morning ( I counted it as 20mins aerobics). I am already aching and know I won't be able to move tomorrow!!

I'm very keen to get back into running so would appreciate any advice on how to integrate couch to 5k plan with ripped? I'm guessing I just alternate days and take twice as long to do things.

Shiftinglard · 12/07/2012 19:45

Had some good news on this horrible rainy day, I have got a first in my specialist nursing degree!!

So now need to carry on the "operation not being fat when igraduate" for my graduation in September :-)

Niceupthedance · 12/07/2012 21:17

Wow! Congratulations, that must feel amazing!

tostaky · 12/07/2012 21:25

well done on your first shifting!!!

SWpanda - i did avoid sugar for a while a few years back and it tooknme about two weeks of mood swings and huge cravings but after that itwas easy... and the good thing is it is really dfficult to go back to eating sugar after a while, food does taste better wthout added sugar. but it is a very restrictive diet....

hello newbies, feel free to add me (same username) im relatively new too and i have aout 2 stones to lose to be bak to pre-pregnancy weight....! I also want to feel ok in a swimsuit by the end of august as we are going on holidays.

Regarding my eating.... it is amasingnhow much crap i eat during the day... sweets, ice cream, chocolate.... imjust wastenmynalories allowance on these...
i need to eat proper food because when i'll stop breastfeeding i wont be able to eat those...

tostaky · 12/07/2012 21:25
