Thanks for the welcome, I am now 3 days in and feeling okay. Have a few withdrawal symptoms/cravings for the very refined carbs and sugars but managing them. Have a bit of a crisp addiction so am choosing NOT to include them as Syns. %23goingcoldturkey Grin

Codandchops · 01/06/2012 08:12

Interesting - MN mobile hates the hash tag evidently.

Blondeshavemorefun · 01/06/2012 08:48

Blondeshavemorefun · 02/06/2012 23:37

Enjoy cooker shopping tomorrow :)

Have totally screwed up my diet today

Went to Hyde park and the queens jubilee festival and they kept giving out freebies of food and drink

And at a BBQ Monday so sure I will gain

Need to kick myself - got a bikini to fit in 3 weeks

Ahhhhhhhhhh

Codandchops · 03/06/2012 07:18

Getting better, less cravings but they are still there - last night was bad and in the end I told myself I would eat crap today....if I still felt like it - and guess what - I don't Grin.

Have had Mullerlight and a banana so far today.

Love that Alpan Light bars are two for a B choice - had those yesterday.

No crisps for 5 days now - will NOT include them as I know they are my sabotage in any new eating plan as I simply cannot stop at one pack....and once I've had one pack I crave more - it's the beginning of the end of weight loss as soon as I do.

Binfullofsiliconelimbsonthe45 · 04/06/2012 11:42

Sorry to highjack the thread, would someone present be able to tell me if the yog I am eating is syn free?

I'm stuck in France, I think it's the Danone french version of shape, I'm starving and I can't access the Slimming world calculator on my phone!

It's called Danone Taillefine Blueberry yog:

It's 125g but per 100g
Calories 46 kcal
Protein 4.7g
Carb 6.6 (sugar 6.4)
Fat 0.1
Fibre 0.4

Any clues.

ElizabethSwann · 04/06/2012 13:15

Heads off to Slimmibg World snackulator .....

ElizabethSwann · 04/06/2012 13:25

Nightmare being French as it isn't listed. I used the snackulator to guess it and it came up with 2.5 Syns which seems a bit steep for a yoghurt with only 0.1g of fat so checked a Mulletlight in the fridge which also has .....0.1g fat so I guess your yoghurt is Syn free - enjoy Smile

ElizabethSwann · 04/06/2012 18:58

OMG I so want a bag of salt n vinigar crisps and a glass of wine - so glad they are not in the house becuse I would be munching and drinking at this point. Weighing in tomorrow.

Binfullofsiliconelimbsonthe45 · 04/06/2012 21:40

Thanks Elizabeth, it looked better in fat etc than a Shape yog and it was delicious. Might get some and bring them home. It was the only low fat yog I could find in Carrefour.

Soooo fed up of fruit.......

Make slimming world crisps???

ElizabethSwann · 05/06/2012 11:25

Weighed in for the first time today and ............................

I lost 7.5lbs in my first week.

And we had a food tasting session which further inspired me.

Going to make SW Quiche with cheese from A choice and a Syn free lime and lemon syllabub.

Yum yum ..... I am all inspired.

03angels · 05/06/2012 16:27

Well done Elizabeth! Lemon and line sylabub spuds devine- ul have to share ur recipe Grin

ElizabethSwann · 05/06/2012 17:59

Eton Mess

1 Tesco Finest Meringue (2.5 Syns)
2 tbsp Total 0% Greek style Yog
A tsp Sweetner - mix with yoghurt
Fruit of choice

Crumble Meringue into pieces on bottom of bowl

Chop fruit

Mix with sweetened Greek style Yoghurt

Can make a huge pile with extra Greek Yog and Sweetner for just 2.5 Syns.

mutley1 · 05/06/2012 18:19

Elizabeth you are inspiring me. Can you give me a quick run down of the SW quiche and I will make it tomorrow

YouGoonie · 05/06/2012 18:22

Elizabeth that's amazing! Well done!

ElizabethSwann · 05/06/2012 18:25

As far as I can make out (not made it yet) you beat together several eggs, add onion and bacon (plus any veg etc) plus 30g of cheese from the A choice. Stick it in a flan dish and bake till done.

I really need to look it up for exact quantities but one of the members made it and said it was in the previous edition Food Optimizing book ; the one they write in for weighing etc) so it's not in mine.

It was utterly delicious though and I could easily manage that and a salad . Syn Free or 6 Syns if not using the cheese as a healthy extra.

Pavla · 05/06/2012 21:10

I make the SW quiche using a packet of Batchelors pasta and sauce (usually the cheese and broccoli), although don't make it up as instructed on the packet as I think it makes it too slimey to use in the quiche. Put it in a microwaveable bowl just covered with water and then pop it in microwave to cook. Put that in the bottom of a flan dish. Beat four eggs with a tub of very low fat cottage cheese. You can add any veg, meat you like but I usually just add more cooked broccoli, mushrooms, red onion and then pour over the pasta in the dish and pop into oven for about 30 mins....delish and syn free! :) You can leave out the pasta if you wish and just pour the mixture into a flan dish or make individual quiches by using a Yorkshire pudding tray.

Blondeshavemorefun · 05/06/2012 21:49

i make the same as pavla apart that i just mix all pasta/veg, eggs etc all together and put in dish, rather then layer pasta on bottom iyswim

also made diet coke chicken tonight - bloody yummy and so simple to make and free on ee :)

Pavla · 05/06/2012 21:59

I keep wanting to try the diet coke chicken, and the fanta chicken, but it just seems soooooo wrong. :) I can't get my head around it...I'm pretty picky with my food and don't want to go through the hassle of making it only to gag on my first mouthful! :o

Blondeshavemorefun · 05/06/2012 22:23

you wont gag-its yummy x

ElizabethSwann · 05/06/2012 22:50

Love the idea of pasta quiche Smile will have to give that a try.
