Whoops. Managed to fill it up again! Hope it's OK to start a new one. Let's keep going everyone - big zonetastic push up to the festive season!!

I'm sure the best way for me to lose weight is not to snack at all so from this day forward, I declare I will not snack except once a day around 3-4.
My plan is breakfast, lunch, snack, dinner. :)

I have to renew my efforts as I was slacking the last month or so. Some days I'd eat loads and loads and some days not much which is quite typical of me. I've forgotten I'm meant to be on a diet.

I need to get back to the gym and take up my running again though realistically that's not going to happen until the weekend.

dinkystinky · 29/09/2011 11:47

Happy birthday to DS2 Belle - and well done you for giving birth to that not so little baby. I thought DS1 was bit at just over 9lbs! Fairly sure DS2 would have been a 10lber if he'd gone 2 weeks over due like his brother - he was 2 weeks early and just under 9 lbs as it was. Enjoy a lovely day with your lovely boy.

Good luck for new jobs Lady and JAM - you'll do great!

Still suffering from a bit of a dodgy tummy - had a mega biff last night so will aim to be virtuous today. Rather annoyingly I have meetings at lunchtime and this evening and have to bake cakes for DS1's class bake sale after work so no chance to exercise today. Bah humbug.

knottyhair · 29/09/2011 11:53

Belle, happy birthday to your DS! Hope you all have a lovely day. How is your DH? So sorry to hear about his friend, that sort of thing can hit you hard, and men are very different when it comes to dealing with their grief, so you could be right I reckon. Hope he's OK. LadyBuzz, that job sounds really interesting, bet you'll be great Smile! TDW, that sounds like a lovely day as well - got to have an ice-cream when you're by the sea Grin. Shaxx, hope your headache gets better, drink plenty of water in this heat. Hope you get to do some exercise this weekend, it really does make all the difference coz you can eat more.

Did a L3 Shred this morning, going to make a prawn salad wrap for lunch (cannot do anymore soup in this weather!), and I'm going to make a sort of veggie egg-fried rice thing for dinner later with chilli & soy sauce. I've decided not to weigh in every week. I think now I'm trying to maintain, I'll start freaking out if it fluctuates by half a pound or so and it might be better for me to weigh in once a month instead to get a more accurate picture. That's a plan anyway, whether I manage to stay away from the scales is another matter... Hope you all have a good day x

Sorry, cross-posted Dinky! Sorry you're still suffering, do you think it's a bug? Blimey, working all day, meetings at lunchtime & this evening, then baking cakes! I need to lie down after reading that Grin.

Happy Birthday BelleEnd junior 2! Hope you all have a good day. Certainly got the weather for it.

I did a hot and sweaty 3.5miles this morning but have blown it by collapsing on the sofa and eating a lot of jaffa cakes, they seemed to move from hand to mouth without me noticing Blush. Line drawn. I'm struggling to find "the zone".

thedogwalker · 29/09/2011 13:46

I too have been biffing today, was on a real sugar low, (well that's my excuse) and before I knew it I had eaten a chelsea bun AND a square of millionaires shortbread Blush. That's more than my daily calorie allowance in one go Shock. Line drawn, I will be good, I will be good, I will be good.....

Shaxx · 29/09/2011 16:04

Dinky sorry to hear you're feeling ill. You've got a hectic day!

Knotty it's a good idea not to weigh yourself every week. You'll probably feel a bit more relaxed. Is your prawn wrap home made? It sounds nice. Recipe and cals if it is please? I need some lunches like that. I can't cook twice a day!

JAM well done on the exercise.

TDW you really biffed in style Grin

I've just had cake because I got stressed about something. I've only just realised that eat when I'm stressed. No wonder I can't lose weight.
With a dh who works all hrs, a city job that demands a lot of me in the few days I do, looking after 2 boys and trying to keep the house work done/food cooked pretty much by myself there's always something to stress me out.

I need ways to deal with this. Any suggestions?

thedogwalker · 29/09/2011 16:38

Sorry Shaxx that work is so stressful. Doing exercise normally helps me, but I must admit I rarely get stressed at work anymore, I'm way too horizontal now Smile, work gets done when it gets done. Helps that I'm the boss of my department Smile. But that doesn't help you, so yes execise, and looking at nice stuff on the internet, look at holiday destinations you long to go on for a few minutes and deep breathing or anything really that can take your mind off the stress thing for a few minutes. Sorry but that's me all out of ideas, pretty useless I'm sure.

dinkystinky · 30/09/2011 09:01

1lb down here. Hmm Not entirely sure why.

Shaxx - recognising your overeating triggers is the first step. Now you're looking for a coping mechanism which is great. I find exercise is a good stress release - also I find meditation (just for 5 minutes somewhere quiet visualising some place quiet and peaceful) really helps. Can you get some help (e.g. a cleaner to help with housework) to take some of the strain off you?

LadyBuzz · 30/09/2011 09:08

dinky well done on your loss doesn't matter why!
1lb off here too Smile

Good luck to everyone still to weigh in!

thedogwalker · 30/09/2011 09:20

Morning all
STS here, not sure why as I've been good most of the time, slight biff yesterday Blush. Hey ho, not too worried as it is better than a gain. Onwards and downwards (on the scales) hopefully.
Well done Dinky and Lady.
Hope everyone has a good weekend and enjoys the scorching weather that we are due xx

Shaxx · 30/09/2011 09:47

Dinky and Lady well done on lb off. Good going!

Tdw well done sts.

I had sts too.

I used to have a cleaner but I used to get so stressed out before she'd come trying to tidy up that I realised that it's less stressful without one and I'd rather get bits done in my own time. I do have enough time. I just need to be a bit more organised I think.

I'll get back into exercise and I'm sure that helps.

I spent a lovely evening yesterday just chilling by myself with the patio doors open and listening to some old Sting tunes on Youtube Grin
I'd forgotten how much I like him. That helped me to relax.

thedogwalker · 30/09/2011 09:58

That sounds like a fab evening Shaxx, glad you found time to unwind Smile

dinkystinky · 30/09/2011 10:17

Just get a cleaner who'll do the tidying up Shaxx Wink I have to admit, both DH and I work full time (often in stressful situations) in the city and without my lovely nanny (who helps us keep on top of the washing mountain) and our once a week cleaner I simply wouldnt find the time to work, do all the housework and also look after me - and get some me time - too. Chilling listening to music sounds like a great way to unwind.

knottyhair · 30/09/2011 10:19

Morning! JAM, well done on doing a 3.5 mile run yesterday! Was it hot where you are?? And jaffa cakes are dangerous things... TDW, well done on STS. Shaxx, the wrap is just a Discovery multi-seed wrap, 10g reduced fat soft cheese (I'm not too anal - I do know now roughly what 10g looks like Blush), 100g pack prawns, and whatever salad is lying around. MFP tells me it's 261 cals. HTH. Sorry things are stressful, sounds like you've got a hell of a lot on your plate. One of my best friends is a single mum of 2 who works full-time and I know she copes by letting the housework slide sometimes, and by doing a lot of batch cooking for the freezer when she gets a bit of time at the weekend. She also says that just having a laugh at me with a mate helps a lot when she's feeling overwhelmed. But your evening sounds lovely - must admit, I'm not a big fan of Sting's music but when I see him playing guitar with no shirt on, I still would...Grin. And well done on STS! Dinky and Ladybuzz, great losses!

My resolve so far not to go near the scales is holding. Just did 4 circuits of NMTZ. Spicy chicken soup for lunch, and pasta with chorizo & kale for dinner later. Got to spend the rest of the morning in the kitchen with my apple master (!), and stew the rest of the apples from our tree for the freezer. Not really the weather for such an autumnal activity but it's got to be done. Hope you all have a good one xx

justaminute · 30/09/2011 18:03

Well done losers, those that have sts and Knotty for avoiding the scales.

I've put back on another pound. I seem to be doing a good job of losing and gaining. My weight has fluctuated by 5lb over the last year I've clearly not been putting consistent effort in. I tried some jeans on in Gap today - their curvy range - they looked awful. Things like that should motivate me but it has left me feeling Sad, Angry and Blush.

However, tomorrow is a new month, Monday is a new job and perhaps it can be the start of a new me Hmm

knottyhair · 01/10/2011 08:33

JAM, there's nothing like a bit of clothes shopping to make you feel crap! And jeans are notoriously difficult - a pair of jeans that fits properly and looks good is very rare. And a fluctuation of 5lbs over a year is not a lot. But sorry you felt so rubbish yesterday - it is a horrible feeling. Just keep on with the training, and use MFP to track your food and you'll feel more in control. Hope you feel better today x
Having a rest day today from Jillian. Got to nag help DS with his reading book, maths homework, literacy homework, food project and to make a collage. Can't help but feel it's quite a lot of work for a 7 year old! Had poached egg on toast for breakfast, the rest of the spicy chicken soup for lunch and I'm making a fish pie for dinner later, to eat whilst sweating in front of Strictly probably! Hope you all have a lovely weekend xx

Very quiet on here! Hope everyone's off doing lovely things. Had a quiet day here. Shredded this morning, then carried ploughing through DS's homework & reading with him (he did get to go round his friend's this afternoon to play thank goodness). Poor old DP's spent the day trying to sort out our new boiler. Had a turkey salad wrap for lunch and we're having prawn & chorizo rice for tea. See you tomorrow! x

Hello everyone! Hope you've had a nice weekend. We had a nice time in Chester, and the funeral was quite celebratory of the wonderful woman who passed on, as opposed to being too morose about her dying young. I took the children to a lovely church on the beach during the service, which has a corner where people stack pebbles in remeberance of lost friends. Most write names on them, but I didn't have a pen, so we just chose the most beautiful stone on the beach, kissed it, and put it there to remember her. :)

Food-wise, I biffed. I biffed good. :o

KFC; Cake; Ice cream; Fried breakfast. Yum! It was nice, but what was nicer was seeing photos of me that I actually find acceptable. This is unheard of, and this is what is putting me on the straight and narrow first thing tomorrow! And I have a new goal- To lose a few lbs by DH's birthday at the end of this month, and wear a nice dress. :)

dinkystinky · 02/10/2011 21:17

Hello all - Belle glad you got to say goodbye to your friend in a good way and is good to have a goal. Knotty hope you managed to scale that homework mountain ok. Had abv hectic weekend here - sat was ds1 dance class, party, swim class for both boys then home for mum and dad and 4 aunts and 2 uncles over from India for an early dinner so cooked up a huge feast then today was Pt session then baking cookies then neighbours over for coffee cookies and apple muffins then off to hyde park for paddiling in the princess di fountain, picnic, playground and ice creams - lovely weekend!

dinkystinky · 02/10/2011 21:38

Oh yes and got to hold hands with a minor tv personality ( initials L T - does weird journeys and documentaries about odd bode) during ring a ring a roses in ds2's swim class

BelleEnd · 03/10/2011 07:14

Oooooh dinky! He's always been a bit of a crush! Was he tall? Did you secretly sniff your hand afterwards?

dinkystinky · 03/10/2011 09:07

He is v tall - his 2 boys have been swimming with my two for around 6 months now. He talks just like he does on camera in real life - I thought it was abit of a put on but apparently not...

knottyhair · 03/10/2011 11:23

Belle, what you did to remember your friend sounds really lovely.

Dinky, I can't describe to you how Envy I'm feeling at doing ring a roses with a major crush of mine. Do tell him I love him if you see him again Grin. And the rest of your weekend sounds great too. (Although not as great as holding hands with HIM - MUST STOP OBSESSING).

Did a L1 6W6P this morning. Prawn wrap for lunch and going to try Jillian's (yes, I'm on 1st name terms with her) chicken with fennel & carrots for dinner with some roasted swede & parmesan. Hope you all have a good one x

Hi all, Glad everyone had a good weekend. Belle that send off sounds really nice, a great way for all of you to remember her and what a great idea with the pebbels on the beach, how lovely. Dinky I don't watch much TV so the initials don't help me at all with the tv celeb, but for 2 of you to think he is a dish has got me wondering Hmm. I went to a christening this weekend so had to travel from Wiltshire to Yorkshire. Naughty food on the way up on Saturday and naughty food on the way back down yesterday, so a naughty weekend really. No change there then for me Blush.

Hope everyone is having a good start to the week, take care xx
