Whoops. Managed to fill it up again! Hope it's OK to start a new one. Let's keep going everyone - big zonetastic push up to the festive season!!

TDW - he's not a dish, honest. Though if you like the Wire you'll be jealous to hear we often see the McNulty guy in our local park - as well as the guy that plays Lucius Malfoy with his DD... Back on the straight and narrow with you now - remember our October challenge...

Knotty - your dinner sounds lovely (as ever!)

knottyhair · 03/10/2011 14:10

Right, that's it dinky, I'm moving in with you. Loved the Wire, although to be honest don't particularly fancy Dominic West but I LUUUURVE Idris Elba who played Stringer Bell (and is now Luther). Also have a crush on Jason Isaacs (Lucius), so my mind's made up, I'm packing my bag... TDW, <a class="break-all" href="http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?imgurl=www.bmivoyager.com/images/2007/nov/090_voyager_nov_07.jpg&imgrefurl=www.bmivoyager.com/2007/10/27/weird-wonderful/&h=238&w=180&sz=33&tbnid=mMrispzc8BEXtM:&tbnh=106&tbnw=80&prev=/search%3Fq%3DLouis%2Btheroux%26tbm%3Disch%26tbo%3Du&zoom=1&q=Louis+theroux&docid=7I2H-2rIPqE-HM&sa=X&ei=zbOJTv3VJ-in0AW7q8XfDw&ved=0CFUQ9QEwBA&dur=62" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">this is the man Dinky held hands with. Not everyone's type, but he's MINE MINE MINE I TELL YOU. Ahem.

:o

dinkystinky · 03/10/2011 15:24

Sorry, Knotty - have seen a few other thesps around (and Sara Cox, Tasmin Grieg and a few other celebrity bods) but no Idris Elba I'm afraid...

thedogwalker · 03/10/2011 15:52

Arrrr now I know who you mean, yes I have watched some of his documentaries, he is quite on the cutting edge. But not a dish in my eyes, but he would be a good guest at the dinner table.

BelleEnd · 03/10/2011 16:20

You see, being a good guest at a dinner table is one of the main things that attracts me to a man. Well, not that per se, but an interesting, funny guy... Think Robin Williams, Doctor Who (NOT the actors, the actual doctor) and even Derren Brown < Blush at having revealed self to actually believing The Doctor is real>

knottyhair · 03/10/2011 16:58

Right, I've calmed down now. I'd like to give this to Belle with my apologies

justaminute · 03/10/2011 19:02

Oooh get the name dropping on here today Wink I've been kissed by Sooty - does that count as a claim to fame?

We went to the beach at the weekend - utter madness to be paddling and making sandcastles in October but great fun. The obligatory ice cream was had although no fish & chips.

Started new job today - all good but I raided the biscuit tin when I got in as I was tired, hungry and thirsty - a bad habit I need to stop. Dcs are in bed and I'm now erring between cooking dinner (chicken stri fry) or shredding. Hmmm, decisions, decisions.

knottyhair · 03/10/2011 19:23

Ooh, JAM, how did it go? And I'll take your Sooty and raise you a Basil Brush (Fairfield Halls, Croydon, December 1976).
LadyBuzz, how did you get on as well today??

OP posts:
BelleEnd · 03/10/2011 19:37

Knotty I didn't think anyone shared my taste in men. :o

Did you enjoy it JAM? Was everyone friendly?

I have very few celeb namedrops. Though I had a lovely chat with Ioan Gruffydd once, he is truly beautiful. And Cerys Matthews played with me as a child. (I am so Welsh... :o )

I have been detoxing after the weekend, and brewed a huge pot of soup, which I had for lunch and dinner. Basically, a stew pack (few carrots, swede, onion, leek), a jar of low fat dolmio, red lentils and chilli. Filling and delicious. Had a few frozen grapes as a snack. Am hoping to detox again tomorrow, and then relax a bit from wednesday onwards.

thedogwalker · 03/10/2011 19:50

Now then if we are talking a dish then Iaon Gruffydd is so my cup of tea, oh Belle I am quite Envy. Hope everyone has managed to stay in the zone. I have but I'm really hungry today, I must review what I'm eating to see where I can improve it. Take care everyone.

dinkystinky · 04/10/2011 10:10

Glad new job is going well JAM - how about trying to plan for some healthy snacks (reduced fat houmous and crudites or apple slices and small piece of cheese or cracker and peanut butter (little bit)) when you get back from work to avoid falling into the biscuit tin. New job, time for a new fabulous you - and remember the October challenge! Hope first day on new job went well for you too Ladybuzz.

Managed to do both bodycombat (was hilarious - the music kept cutting out so our crazy instructor was singing the songs to us while we worked out) and zumba yesterday and burned over a thousand calories. Sadly needed to do that as had a biffing incident with a packet of crunchie biscuits (lethal things) at lunch time. Grr.

Your detox sounds lovely Belle - v healthy. Frozen grapes remind me of my labour with DS1 as was munching away on them while waiting to be induced (while in early labour) in hospital in late April 2006 when it was 25 degrees outside and 28 degrees inside the bloody ward! There werent any left by the time they hooked me on the drop.

Used to live over in Belsize Park and saw loads of celebs around there all the time especially Helena Bonham Carter traipsing around looking like a bag

knottyhair · 04/10/2011 10:27

Dinky, love your description of Helena Bonham Carter. She does have an "individual" sense of style doesn't she? Quite like the fact she doesn't give a toss what other people think though. And blimey, well done on the exercise marathon yesterday!

Just did 4 circuits of BFBM - bean soup for lunch, then going to try the Cook Yourself Thin version of carbonara tonight. BTW, the chicken dish from Jillian's book last night was lovely - fresh fennel, carrots, red pepper, orange juice & zest, cumin, fennel seeds - yum. Have a good one x

Managed a quick gym session and pilates today - but yet again have undone good work with a crunchie biff. On the plus side, no crunchies left to biff now. But at this rate Shaxx and TDW will be beating me on the October challenge so into the zone with me now...

BelleEnd · 04/10/2011 18:36

Hello ladies! Hope you've all had a good day.
Had a second day of detoxing on veg soup today, and I feel great. The lentils in it really fill me up. I had some frozen grapes too (and thought of dinky in labour!) Back to normal tomorrow. DH and DS1 are off school (strikes) so we'll probably have a day out.

dinkystinky · 05/10/2011 09:16

Morning all - hope you had a nice day out Belle.

Am biffing lots here - suspect its premenstrual biffing...

knottyhair · 05/10/2011 09:31

Morning. Back in the zone with you Dinky! Very hard when it's PMT related though, I know. At least the crunchies have gone Smile. Belle, have a nice day out. Managed to fit in a Shred at half 7 this morning (Level 2, my worst one). Was reading with DS before school this morning and he poked my tummy and said "you've got no sticky out bits now Mummy" Smile. Then "apart from your big bosoms". So I think it was a compliment. Soup for lunch and sausages with creamy lentils tonight.

Hi everyone, Dinky I will not be beating you at the October challenge. I have a confession to make and a request. I know it might be considered early, but I have had a BFP which works out that I am 3 weeks pg. So there is no way I'm going to lose anymore weight. Last time I was pg I weighed 10 4 lbs at the start and over 13 stone by the end. This time my start weight is 9 8lbs and I really don't want to put on loads of weight again. So I really want to know if any if you mind if I stay on this thread. I promise not to bore you all with ante-natal stuff, and I won't weigh in every week, but I need the support to stop me from biffing big style.
Hope everyone is having a good day, take care xx

BelleEnd · 05/10/2011 09:37

Oooooooooooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh TDW!!!!!!!!!! OMG! CONGRATULATIONS! Please stay on the thread! And please bore us with ante-natal stuff!

HOW EXCITING! YAY! :)

knottyhair · 05/10/2011 09:39

CONGRATULATIONS TDW! Fantastic news! Of course you have to stay on this thread! That's just put a big smile on my face Smile. Take care of yourself xx

Thanks Belle, I am so excited and very very tired already Hmm, stopped drinking coffee so I'm caffeine free, Zzzzzz all day at work Grin

dinkystinky · 05/10/2011 10:19

Ah TDW I am so pleased for you - that's fantastic news. Enjoy celebrating with your DH when he's next over! I was over 13 stone with DS1 (same starting weight as you) and with DS2 was 10 stone 4 and ended up at 12.5 stone when I gave birth - it was alot easier to lose the babyweight the second time round (lost it all by the time I went back to work but then put a stone on by jumping in the biscuit tin everytime stress hit). Just focus on eating healthily (no processed crap) for you and the little bump and biffing will not hit and you'll be fine.

thedogwalker · 05/10/2011 10:56

Thanks Knotty and Dinky it's good to know that I can still have you lot to kick me up the bum when I eat too many danish pastries Grin

dinkystinky · 05/10/2011 11:12

You've fallen foul to the dinky method of getting pregnant TDW - sign up for a run event and hey presto, you're suddenly pregnant. Happened both times with DS1 and DS2...

thedogwalker · 05/10/2011 11:47

I know I'm not sure what to do, I'm not sure if I should run 10 miles at such an early stage, I don't want to do any harm, what do you think Dinky???
