Hi Ladybuzz. Exciting / nerve wracking (delete as applicable) times.

I'm feeling a bit sore, I've had a wisdom tooth out today. On Doctors orders I'm not allowed to exercise for 24 hours (what a shame Wink) and a soft warm diet has been prescribed. I guess that means I should be eating soups and yoghurt but I've discovered that chocolate melts nicely in the mouth Smile

knottyhair · 08/09/2011 09:20

Morning! LadyBuzz any news?? JAM, hope your tooth (or gap!) is feeling better, and the chocolate is helping Wink.
Having my rest day today instead of Saturday as I think I may have overdone it yesterday as my stomach muscles are quite sore. Pea & ham soup for lunch, not sure about tonight yet, got to inspect my box so to speak. Have a good one x

Hi all, I go AWOL for a few days and wow, what news to come back to.

so come on then Lady any update, we are all just so eager to know Grin.

I've continued to eat naughtily, just can't seem to find the motivation. My bad back has returned and I just feel so miserable with it, that I'm eating to cheer myself up, totally wrong I know. I need a kick up the bum please ladies.

Hope everyone is having a good day. Oh and yes DH and I started ttc last week,(Inbetween the back ache Wink) so I hope to have news soonish, fingers x and double x.

BelleEnd · 08/09/2011 16:44

Oooooh TDW That is so exciting! Hope it happens for you soon! How many do you have now? I really want number 3 but worried about money/DH job security.
LadyBuzz Hope you got the news you wanted! Thought about you a lot today...
I'm sorry but I did ROFL @ Knotty inspecting her box... I really need to grow up...
JAM Hope your gob is okay... Did it really hurt? Always been a bit scared of that op...

justaminute · 08/09/2011 16:59

Crikey. This thread is turning into an ante natal one Smile. Didn't Shaxx (where are you?) talk about ttc too or am i mistaken?

TDW I feel for you on the lack of exercise front. I'm missing my daily exercise too. I was hoping to Shred every day this month but due to the tooth I didn't do it yesterday. I hoped to do Level 1 & 2 today to get back on track but I don't think I'm going to even manage a single session, I'm shattered! I woke at 3.30 (the pain killers had worn off) and I couldn't get back to sleep. The actual extraction was a lot better than I thought it was going to be but the after pain and bloody taste I keep getting are not nice. Sorry if TMI. I also have to gargle salt water regularly which is grim.

On the positive side I don't fancy eating anything that involves chewing so I'm hoping for a loss tomorrow. Every cloud and all that! Grin

knottyhair · 08/09/2011 17:40

Good luck TDW!! Hoping for some good news from you soon, and consider your arse royally kicked (in a Father Ted/Bishop Brennan stylee. Apologies if you didn't used to watch it!). JAM, hope you feel better soon, sounds miserable Sad. Well I inspected my box (it is a large one Grin), and have decided on sticky chilli chicken with couscous, broccoli & runner beans. My thighs are marinading as I type.

OP posts:
BelleEnd · 08/09/2011 18:09

Well, every day I've done this week has been under 1000 calories, which, when I was having a crap lunch, I have decided is too drastic. So am going to try a bit less of a food Nazi over the weekend, without going overboard. I've also noticed that a lot of my calories go on butter (I looooooove butter...) which, when you balance it out, probably isn't worth it. One tbsp of butter = 2 biscuits!

Lunch was crackerbread, a carrot, some cucumber and strawberries.
Snacks were Morrisons Eat Smart crispbreads... These are GORGEOUS.
Dinner was a baked sweet potato (never had it before, surprisingly nice), peas and sausages.

Good luck at the weigh-in, ladies!

BelleEnd · 09/09/2011 09:03

1lb off for me, so 11st1. Step in the right direction, certainly.

Any news from LadyBuzz yet?

justaminute · 09/09/2011 09:37

Well done Belle. 1lb off for me too Smile 11st 7 now. There is something satisfying about the half stone marker. Now to do the next 7.

Knotty. How were your thighs? I had images of you with sticky sauce over your legs Grin

Dinky - Hope all goes well at the wedding. Have a fab time!

knottyhair · 09/09/2011 10:17

Well done Belle & JAM! My thighs were very nice & sticky thank you JAM Grin. However, DP is a chilli wimp and had to scrape most of the marinade off his thighs before he could eat them. And he calls himself a man...
Belle, glad you've decided to ease off a bit. And I'm totally with you on the butter front. I'd rather have a little bit of butter than more low fat spread. And talking of baked sweet potato, very nice with a bit of chilli butter, or garlic butter.... MUST STOP NOW OR THE DROOL WILL RUIN MY KEYBOARD. Ahem.

Anyhoo, have weighed in at a very annoying 9 stone and half a pound. Lost 2 and a quarter pounds which I'm obviously very pleased about but there is some stupid psychological block about wanting to see the scales say 9 stone. I am a sad individual. Having soup for lunch and am making prawn cannelloni for dinner. Good luck to everyone else, and hope you all have a good weekend!

Ooh, yes Dinky, have a great craic!

LadyBuzz · 09/09/2011 14:18

I'm here!!

Still no exciting news i'm afraid, still no AF but another BFN, I wasn't overly dissapointed TBH so I think unless I can persuade DH to cancel the op (not going to happen)and go for DC4 in about 12 months then we will be happy with 3. I AM happy with my 3 i just think there will always always be a part of me that would keep on going if i could Grin
My niece and my friend are both ttc and another is almost due to pop so i will have to busy myself with them instead.

BUT all the luck in the world to you TDW, hope it happens for you soon.

dinky enjoy your wedding.

knotty grr to that half pound but very well done on your loss.

JAM I also had a chuckle at knotty marinating her thighs!

Well done on your losses too JAM and Belle.

a measley 0.2 lb off here (so sts really) but i'm stunned i didn't put on so i'm happy. 11 st 6lb JAM so we are on a par weight wise!
Only 4 more pounds to hit my 2 stone mark!

BelleEnd · 09/09/2011 15:25

Oh well LadyBuzz, you'll have to keep the champers for your niece and friend then! Though still no AF may still herald something... These tests are sometimes crap.

After a week of extreme dieting, I have just had a bacon baguette, doritos and dip, and a chocolate muffin for lunch with a mate...

knottyhair · 10/09/2011 08:35

LadyBuzz, a loss is still a loss my love, so well done! Glad you're not too disappointed - I admire you having 3 and even contemplating a 4th TBH! But I know what you mean about a bit of you would want to keep going. We never planned to just have 1 child, but around the time we decided to start TTC no 2, our friends' baby girl was stillborn and it shocked us to the core - had never even properly contemplated that happening (naively). We put it off for a while as a result and by the time we got round to discussing it again, we just couldn't decide, and life goes on. Obviously life is easier (on a practical level) with one and DS is happy and has lots of friends and a cousin the same age, plus I'm 43 now and don't feel that being an "older" mum is for me. But as you say, there's always a tiny bit of me.... Goodness, what a rambling old post!

Ooh, Belle, I could just polish off a bacon baguette! Instead, I've had a slice of fruit bread and need to crack with Jillian. Made some carrot & maple syrup soup yesterday for lunch today, then we've got burgers & salad in front of the Strictly launch show this evening. Sad, but true. Have a good day everyone! x

OP posts:
BelleEnd · 12/09/2011 08:41

Yesterday was a write-off. It ALWAYS happens when I have breakfast, it's as if it makes me starving for the rest of the day. I made chocolate cookies, and ate far too many of them...
However. Onwards and upwards. And anyway, I'm glad to have a bit of weight keeping me odwn today, or I'd have blown away in this wind!

knottyhair · 12/09/2011 09:05

Like you say Belle, onwards & upwards! I ended up going over my calories Saturday and Sunday - made Eve's pudding with apples & blackberries from the garden. Only had a very small bit with some low-fat custard but still - I blame the weather Grin. Made some popcorn to take to the cinema yesterday (took DS to see The Smurfs) so had that for lunch. Was all set to Shred this morning but there's some problem with our protection software on the computer which I've been trying to sort out since 7.30am - have now got to uninstall/reinstall to see if it works, then have to shower, mealplan, food shop, ironing... aaargh. Never mind. Hope everyone is OK x

dinkystinky · 12/09/2011 09:57

Am back - wedding was great fun (and they even had sun on the day of the ceremony!) as was the party on the farm but much biffing went on. Back into the zone with me today I think... Well done losers - and glad you're ok Ladybuzz about BFN and good luck to those ttc.

justaminute · 12/09/2011 14:13

Glad you had a good time Dinky, great that the sun shone too.

I had a bifftastic weekend in London so I'm easing back to the zone too today. I think I'm going to struggle to STS this week never mind a loss- damn Borough Market and their tempting food.

I'm feeling really lethargic today, I think it's from lack of exercise if that's not an ironic thing to think. I'm going to attempt a run or Shred tonight to blow the cobwebs away.

Ladybuzz - Race you to 11 stone?

LadyBuzz · 12/09/2011 14:33

jam you are on Grin.

dinky glad you enjoyed your wedding and lovely that you had good weather.

Its awful here I'm actually pleased that I have a 3 stone double buggy so i don't lose the DCs on the school run! still battling the wind will surely burn some cals?

BelleEnd · 12/09/2011 18:30

Day of chocolate cookies yesterday, so have behaved today. Still, I'm starving, and those 4 o'clock hungries got me reaching for the crackerbread. Damn carbs for being so lovely!

knottyhair · 12/09/2011 18:47

Glad you enjoyed the wedding Dinky and JAM, it all goes out the window whenever I visit Borough, and I know what you mean about feeling lethargic when you don't exercise. Belle, I'm hungry as well, just had a few tortilla chips. We're not eating until later tonight as DP has taken DS to kickboxing. Can't wait for it though - prawns with tomato sauce & feta with couscous & broccoli. Feel like I may have the beginnings of a cold - bit cotton woolly head, and feel like I've got a lump in my throat. Don't want it!

OP posts:
BelleEnd · 12/09/2011 19:39

Oh knotty, your dinner sounds lush!

knottyhair · 13/09/2011 08:02

Belle, it is nice, and really quick. For 2, you fry a chopped onion and a garlic clove for about 5 mins in a little bit of oil, add 1 tin tomatoes, a little bit of sugar and seasoning. Simmer for about 10 mins. Add 200g prawns (I used the big cooked ones as they were on offer!), and warm through. Crumble over 50g feta. 186 calories per serving, 364 with 50g couscous. Also nice with rice or pasta.
My coldy symptoms seem to have disappeared overnight so going to Shred after the school run. Bean soup for lunch, and Jillian's chicken satay with almond sauce, noodles & green beans for dinner later. Have a good one everyone x

OP posts:
dinkystinky · 13/09/2011 10:03

That sounds lovely Knotty - will have to add some prawns to my shopping for tomorrow to try it!

Have cold and period and had an uber biffing session last night as tired and feeling sorry for myself and couldnt go to bed as DH had gone out without keys [grr] and so couldnt go to bed - and then DS2 woke up with nightmares around 1am but DH was out for the count so had to deal with him. Planning an early night and virtuous day today.

knottyhair · 13/09/2011 11:02

Should have said I add chilli or harissa to mine for a bit of a kick! Dinky, sorry you feel so rubbish Sad - hope you get your early night and feel better tomorrow.
