Whoops. Managed to fill it up again! Hope it's OK to start a new one. Let's keep going everyone - big zonetastic push up to the festive season!!

BelleEnd · 23/02/2012 17:58

8oz red lentils
8oz hulled mung beans
1 onion
Turmeric, paprika, fenugreek
Fry the onion in fry lite. Chuck in the lentils and beans. Add water as needed. Add the spices. Blend until smooth and season to taste.

Sorry, it's not very good- I'm a chuck it all in together and hope for the best kinda girl... :)

dinkystinkyexpectations · 23/02/2012 20:42

{blush] I've got the vegetable bible on the shelf Knotty (it is indeed excellent) but hadnt noticed the turnip recipe you posted earlier!

ThePaxton · 24/02/2012 08:42

Hi everyone. All these recipes sound lovely. I must use vegetables more, rather than just boiling, roasting, steaming them. I am also guilty of having a library of cook books and doing the same meals every week. dinky good luck for monday.

1.5lbs off, so am under 10 and a half stone, woo hoo. (only by half a lb though Grin) Have been really in the zone this week. Jillianing, and eating really well. Only had 1 pancake on tuesday. The weekends are generally my downfall so am determined to keep it up. Hope everyone has a good day. x

BelleEnd · 24/02/2012 08:57

I love that Jillianing has become an actual verb. :o

knottyhair · 24/02/2012 11:04

Belle, thanks for that recipe - how long do you cook it for? Paxton, well done on the weight loss - great!!

Did L4 Ripped this morning, but no "Jillianing" Wink for me over the weekend as it's DS's birthday on Tuesday, and we've got about 8 of his mates, and their respective parents coming over tomorrow afternoon, then 14 family members on Sunday afternoon, and I've got 3 cakes to make, balloons to blow up, cleaning to do etc. etc. Have a nice weekend everyone! xx

dinkystinkyexpectations · 24/02/2012 11:37

Happy birthday in advance for your DS Knotty - 3 cakes ! I'd faint under all that pressure...

Paxton - well done your loss and zoning!

LadyBuzz · 25/02/2012 08:50

knotty sounds like a busy weekend for you, hope you enjoy it and DS has a lovely birthday.

dinky good luck, hope all goes well.

paxton well done on your loss.

1/2lb off for me this week.

I bought a corset this week, a proper steel boned suck you in job, I love it, its not the most comfortable article i've ever worn, but it makes me feel fantastic, I bought it to wear at the local tattoo convention but have no idea what to wear it with???

BelleEnd · 25/02/2012 15:36

Oooooh Buzz! How cool! Where did you get it from? I am a tattoo fan too, I'm thinking of getting another, but I'm not sure where.

I have a pick 'n' mix induced headache. Have just taken paracetamol in order to be able to scream at the rugby.

LadyBuzz · 25/02/2012 19:53

Oh belle I just lol at your pick n mix headache!

I got it from Corsets UK, its burgundy taffeta here. I'm thinking black tailored shorts with it?

I got one done this morning, 3 Russian dolls on my thigh, it hurt so so very much but i love it, i've always liked Russian dolls and still have my childhood one, I would put a pick on but i have the elephant mans leg!

BelleEnd · 26/02/2012 10:16

Oh wow! How is it healing? I am SO jealous! I love russian dolls too. I have a whole board on pinterest of tattoo ideas- In fact- It's something that I said I'd award myself when I got to 12.8 st... I am now at 10st2 and haven't got round to it... I just can't decide what to have. I kind of want one that goes down the length of my arm... I was thinking a river that my family has lived by, as it appears on a map, but it could just look like a manky vein! :o I have three tattoos thus far, but they are so addictive.
That corset is brilliant. I wish I had the occasion to wear one!

knottyhair · 27/02/2012 10:22

Morning! LadyBuzz, well done on losing and hope your tattoo is healing, sounds amazing. Belle, hope your pick 'n' mix headache went away Smile.
Back to it this morning after a not very zonetastic weekend. Had 2 very good parties for DS - Saturday involved cava, party food, cake & a cheeky JD & coke before a drunken Kinect Dance Central session, with the last stragglers leaving at 10pm (having been here since 4pm). Cue a very tired DS yesterday but he managed to struggle on through the family do yesterday. I only had one piece of lemon cake yesterday but we got a takeaway last night as I had severe cooking fatigue. Did 4 circuits of NMTZ this morning. Only got the actual birthday tomorrow to get through now, no more parties thank god but DS has asked to go for a Thai meal for tea. Oh well...

Hi, Hope your tatto is okay and well done on the loss LadyBuzz
Sounds like you had a great weekend knotty Happy Birthday to your DS for tomorrow. Not too bad this weekend, had a piece of cake but did do pilates yesterday and I'm aching today. Really enjoyed it though, I normally just do the stretching but was v.hard. Ripped this morning. Hope everyone has a good dayx

LadyBuzz · 27/02/2012 12:44

Its um very very sore Shock but looking good so it WILL be worth the pain!
Do it Belle, this one is my ninth so I would say I well and truly have the bug!

I'm working at the convention and possibly modelling some bizarre piercing if BIL gets his way - last year it was a chest corsage complete with flower!

knotty your weekend sounds fab, hope DS enjoyed himself.

dinky Is it today you have your op? If it is i'm thinking of you, hope it goes well.

knottyhair · 27/02/2012 12:53

Oh blimey, yes, Dinky, hope it all goes OK today xx

ThePaxton · 28/02/2012 12:25

Dinky Hope everything went well yesterday and you're recovering well and hope DS has a great birthday toaday knotty

dinkystinkyexpectations · 28/02/2012 21:11

Thanks for the kind wishes - op went well though could only fix one half of my cartilage - managed to do the ACL graft though which was the most important thing. Now sofa-bound in dressings and v fetching compression stockings I have to wear for two weeks! Happy birthday to your ds knotty and nice corset lady!

knottyhair · 29/02/2012 10:25

Morning! Dinky, glad the op went OK, and enjoy your sofa time (if you can!). Thanks for the birthday wishes for DS, he's managed to drag it out now since Saturday and needs to hand the baton over to someone else! We had a lovely Thai meal with him last night and I tried not to go overboard (tom yum soup, squid with basil & chilli, steamed rice and a Singha beer). Did Killer Buns L2 this morning and wobbled my way through one-legged burpees. Soup for lunch and toulouse sausages with sweet potato mash & cabbage for tea. Have a good day x

OP posts:
ThePaxton · 29/02/2012 12:32

Dinky Glad it all went well. Knotty my two like to drag out their bday too, but then so do I! The meal sounds lovely. Am in the zone again this week, soup for lunch but having chilli tonight must make sure I don't have too much. Hope everyone has a good day.

LadyBuzz · 29/02/2012 12:35

dinky glad everything went well, I bet you look fab in your stockings Grin

knotty DCs do tend to be able to make it a birthday week, i know mine manage!

Tuna salad for me today, and spag bol for tea. I'm still struggling to get my head round how much you can eat on SW but I'm slowly but surely losing so something must be right!

knottyhair · 03/03/2012 08:18

Morning! Paxton and LadyBuzz, sounds like you're both firmly in the zone! Dinky, how's it going? Are you managing to sit still Grin? No exercise for me for a couple of days, have had a sore throat and a bit of a cough and don't want to make it worse - feeling very twitchy though not doing any Jillian, how sad! Made a carrot cake yesterday (made one for DS's birthday but he only got 1 piece so I made another). My pregnant niece and her BF are coming round later so I'm hoping most of it will be gone today! Have a good weekend xx

OP posts:
dinkystinkyexpectations · 03/03/2012 10:20

Hiya Knotty - you are some kind of cake goddess with all these baked goodies you churn out! I'd be the size of a house if I could bake like that - fortunately I cant! Am ok thanks - knee still v swollen but am doing my exercises and popping my pills and trying not to mindlessly munch while sat on my arse on the sofa. Having trouble sleeping at nights (normally sleep on my side but cant now and have to keep leg elevated) which always makes me overeat during the day time so am trying to keep a lid on things. Fortunately DS1 and DS2 are around most the day and mug me for any biscuits/crisps I have near me - they're a good diet aid! Hope you feel better and cough/cold passes soon.

LadyBuzz · 04/03/2012 10:52

Hmmm, I put on 1 1/2 lb Blush

NOW i'm (back) in the zone!

dinky glad you are starting to feel a bit better.

knotty get well soon

BelleEnd · 04/03/2012 15:50

Glad you're getting better dinky, hope someone got you lots of box sets to watch while you're sofa-bound! Hope you're feeling better knotty, carrot cake sounds lovely! Have you tried out the corset yet Buzz*?
I've had (yet another) week off- I had a few bakesales to cook for, and knew I couldn't resist. I also had a meal out with friends, and a cousin's wedding yesterday. Detoxing today, and hopefully for the rest of the week. I'm falling off the wagon more and more often since Christmas, but I've managed, so far, to keep under my original goal weight. Have to keep it up, although at the moment I admit, I'm finding it hard.

knottyhair · 05/03/2012 10:02

Morning! Dinky, glad you're managing to rest and hope your sleep improves. LadyBuzz, I'm sure it's just a blip, you're doing really well. BelleEnd, I know what you mean - my efforts have been a bit intermittent since Christmas, what with birthdays, nights out and illness. Hopefully I'll get a good run of healthy eating & exercise in now until Easter. Feeling much better and managed a Shred this morning. Made some bacon, bean & pasta soup yesterday and have some left for lunch today, and am thinking of making some sort of chicken curry for tea. Have a good day everyone xx
