Whoops. Managed to fill it up again! Hope it's OK to start a new one. Let's keep going everyone - big zonetastic push up to the festive season!!

Woo hoo - physio said I could do cycling (boring as sin but hey, better than no exercise at all) this week to strengthen knee and pilates. Have booked in for pilates class tonight and am going to gym to cycle (sadly no spin) and do abs/upper body weights work tomorrow. So happy!

Happy birthday to DD for yesterday Ladybuzz - hope she had a fab day.

ThePaxton · 19/01/2012 12:31

dinky great that you're back exercising. TDW great to hear everything is going well. Never had kale, next time I see it I must try it. Congrats knotty on being a great auntie. Hope DD had a good birthday lady.

Thanks for your well wishes for DS2, he was back at school yesterday but woke up again at 3.30 and stayed awake. I got up with him at 4.30 and had some cereal!! Then we went back to sleep. He keeps dreaming about Belatrix from Harry Potter. He hasn't even seen the films with her in, only played the Lego game! He still a bit bunged up and his glands are up so have left him off today. Hope everyone has a great day x

knottyhair · 20/01/2012 09:54

Great news Dinky! I can just imagine you cycling like a demon! Paxton, hope your DS is better today, poor thing! It's funny how certain things stay in their heads! My DS had a reading book about a little creature that was freed from under a paving slab by a boy and it ends with the little boy being dragged under the slab to live in the darkness forever! DS insisted he didn't find it scary, and wrote in his contact book that it was "a bit boring" but then couldn't get to sleep for a couple of nights for thinking about it.
Ripped in 30 done this morning, soup & ryvitas for lunch and pasta with cabbage & chorizo for tea. Need to make up for yesterdays leftover sausage incident Blush. Have a good one everyone!

Not sure about cycling like a demon Knotty - maybe cycling like a weeble Grin That book of your DS's sounds really scary! I think I'd have trouble sleeping after that too.

Went to see Matilda with DH, mum and dad last night (our xmas present to them) which was EXCELLENT -totally recommend it to anyone whose thinking about going to watch it. And I was good, I did pilates class before hand (could tell I hadnt been in a while - it was hard) and walked to the theatre and managed to have a wrap and some fruit and a small icecream at the interval as opposed to mucho wine and crisps - so ate healthily, was within calorie allowance and had a lovely evening. Result!

thedogwalker · 20/01/2012 11:50

Paxton Hope your DS is feeling better today, he'll be loving the day off school I'm sure.
Knotty that book does sound a little scary for children to read, or am I just being over protective? I remember as a child, watching a movie, possibly Sinbad and the golden fleece, or something similar and it had a metal, clockwork type owl in it, that was in my dreams for ages. Still don't like the idea of it Hmm.
Dinky that sounds like a fab night out and you were really good, not being tempted by the goodies.
Hope everyone has a good weekend, take care xx

ThePaxton · 20/01/2012 11:53

Thanks knotty It is strange what stays with them. That book does sound scary. Whenever he see somthing scary he says 'I know it's not real' .He was okay last night, but I've not sent him in. He's fine just has a runny nose now. Sound like you had a great night dinky. It really is a boost when you stay within calorie and have had a treat.

1lb off this week. So still going in the right direction. And I biffed a bit over weekend. Have a bit of a sore throat today so will do a pilates DVD rather that Ripped. Hope everyone has a good day.

knottyhair · 21/01/2012 09:39

Dinky, glad you enjoyed Matilda, it sounds brilliant. My niece went the other night as well, and has Matilda on her shortlist of baby names. And well done on avoiding the crisps! TDW, I always hated Worzel Gummidge as a child, and if I see a clip now, it still gives me the chills! All that swapping of heads! Paxton, glad your DS is feeling better, and well done on losing 1lb. Hope your sore throat hasn't developed into anything nasty.
Did 6W6P this morning. Going to walk into town with DS in a minute so Pret for lunch. Making bean chilli wraps for tea. Planning on a family walk tomorrow if it's not too windy & cold! Have a good weekend everyone xx

Evening all - had a nice but not v zonetastic weekend. My mum and dad kindly volunteered to babysit the boys last night so DH and I went out for a yummy -but not zone friendly - dinner at The Providores in Marylebone: totally delicious food so well worth blasting through my calorie allowance. My sister kindly took the boys to the zoo today so DH and I could enjoy our birthday present from her (massages) and lunch out - we went to Ping Pong which, provided you avoid the deep fried stuff, is surprisingly zonetastic! DS1 and DS2 loved the zoo with their aunty and her husband - and came back full of sugar having been spoilt rotten.

LadyBuzz · 22/01/2012 19:27

dinky that sounds like a great weekend, glad you enjoyed it.

I'm managing to stay in the zone despite AF being due, I've had a couple of tiny chocs but i've counted them, I even tucked into lemon poached cod with a jacket and veg last night while SIL and he DCs had chips!

knotty that does sound a bit scary!
I had an irrational fear of the flumps as a child, I have no idea why but if I ever hear that theme tune it gives me the shivers Grin

paxton well done on your loss.

thedogwalker · 22/01/2012 21:25

Hi all
Well done on your loss paxton. Yum yum dinky, and wow what a lovely weekend for you and DH.
Me and DS been full of cold all weekend so not mcuh fun in this house. Neither DS or me have much appetite, which is not good when I know I need to eat for the growing LO. Would love a lemsip or other similar drink right now, blooming cold.

Hope everyone has had a great weekend xx

dinkystinky · 22/01/2012 21:46

TDW - so sorry you and DS are feeling ill. You can take paracetemol in pregnancy and I swore by a mixture of honey, ginger and lemon in hot water in pregnancy too (much nicer tasting than lemsip too). Hope you both feel better soon. And dont worry about the baby inside - they'll get what they want from you regardless.

knottyhair · 23/01/2012 10:00

Morning! Dinky, that sounds like a lovely weekend Smile. LadyBuzz, you are firmly in the zone by the sound of it, and all power to you resisting chips! TDW, sorry you and your DS are full of cold. Just to echo what Dinky said. When I have a cold, I squeeze a lemon into the largest mug or heatproof glass I can find, top up with boiling water, add the lemon quarters as well, then add honey to taste. Give it a muddle with a teaspoon as you drink it. Hope you both feel better soon.
Had a nice walk yesterday morning with DP & DS, only 3 miles but it was a lovely day and we had lunch and cake in a tearoom afterwards. Did L2 Ripped in 30 this morning and am making a banana loaf this afternoon. Soup for lunch and pork chops, potatoes & veg for tea. Hope you all have a good one x

Hi everyone! Dinky, it sounds like you had a great weekend. Well done for staying in the zone Lady, it's always hard when it AF week! Same here TDW, I've been full of a cold all weekend too, so no exercising but have had no appetite either. Hope you and DS are feeling better today. Echo lwhat knotty says with the hot water and lemon and also am addicted to lockets at the mo.
Will be back exercising tomorrow, feel much better today, just a bit of a tickly throat. Hope everyone has a good day.

LadyBuzz · 23/01/2012 19:04

Evening everyone. 2 1/2 lb off this week Grin
I just need to motivate my butt into exercise now!!

tdw hope you and DS feel better soon, its not nice being poorly when you can't take much.

dinkystinky · 24/01/2012 08:52

Morning all - hope everyone is good and well done on the loss LadyBuzz. Go on, do the exercise - you'll feel better for it. Sorry you're feeling full of cold Paxton - there seem to be alot doing the rounds at the moment.

Weighed in at 10 9 today so 1 and a half lbs down (despite bifftastic dinner out and lots of cheese eating yesterday as AF due shortly - trying to channel choc guzzling into eating protein based stuff instead) - need to keep on straight and narrow this week to ensure the scales dont start going up! Did bodybalance yesterday and doing pilates today - but really really want to start doing proper cardio and kettlebells again and that's at least 3 weeks off as knee still pretty sore which am finding pretty frustrating. On the plus side, not being able to burn off calories through exercise means I'm keeping a closer eye than usual on what I eat.

knottyhair · 24/01/2012 10:07

Morning! Paxton, hope you're feeling better. And congrats on your losses LadyBuzz and Dinky!

The banana loaf was really nice, and I was quite restrained - had a slice with a cup of tea, but didn't have any of the chocolate sauce I made for DP and DS to go with it although I may have licked the spatula. Did 4 circuits of BFBM this morning. Minestrone soup for lunch and sausages with braised red cabbage & mash for tea - very miserable and damp here so definitely mash weather!

OP posts:
ThePaxton · 24/01/2012 13:42

Hi everyone. Great loss Lady and Dinky The banana bread sounds lovely knotty. It'a horrible weather here too.

Feeling better today, although still have cough so not exercising. Might try something tomorrow. You're right dinky about being more aware of what I'm eating with no exercise. I've been really careful and kept under target calories and not munched on chocolate and crisps to feel better!

dinkystinky · 24/01/2012 14:19

Knotty - well done on restraining yourself on the chocolate sauce. I love banana bread - make a lovely Nigella Banana, coconut and cherry one... drool..

knottyhair · 25/01/2012 09:59

Paxton, hope you're on the mend and can get back to exercising soon. Dinky, that banana bread sounds lovely. Unfortunately for some reason my DS isn't keen on coconut. Might have to make it just for me & DP Smile.

Did Ripped in 30 L3 for the first time this morning - tough but I liked it, although it did involve some comedy total lack of coordination moments. Soup and ryvitas for lunch, sticky chicken wings, salad & bread for tea. Hope everyone has a good day x

Lady and Dinky congrats on yor losses.
Paxton glad you're feeling better. DS and I are still at home, I'm off work and he's off nursery and we are both are a sorry sight.
On some good news, I had my 20 week scan on Monday and the LO is all fine and healthy, yippee and just like my DS1 was flashing itself away, making us well aware that he was a HE. So another DS, I'm so happy, there will only be 22 months between the boys so hope they are best of mates (inbetween the fighting). All I got to do now is think of names????
Hope everyone is well, take care xx

knottyhair · 25/01/2012 13:16

Great news TDW! Another boy! I do love boys Smile. Hope you & DS (1!) feel better soon xxx

OP posts:
ThePaxton · 25/01/2012 20:19

TDW congratulations on another boy. I have two boys, although there is 6 years between them. They fight one minute and are hugging the next. Great fun Smile Sorry you're stilll feeling ill, hope you're better soon.
knotty am attempting L3 on Friday, I always find the first time I do a new one I'm all over the place. Grin
Better today. Have been sorting out new car all day, which is now outside the house, so more or less the end of the car drama!! Thank god!

dinkystinky · 26/01/2012 11:06

Had a biff day yesterday but back in the zone today. Glad the car drama is over Paxton - what a rubbish way to start a new year though. Enjoy L3!

TDW - great news on another boy. I have 2 boys - 2 years 10 months between them - and they are great together. DS1 has been DS2's favourite person in the world from when he was tiny.

BelleEnd · 26/01/2012 11:16

Grrrrrr... Just wrote a long message which got lost... Gist of it was can I come back to help with maintaining this weight? Am at 10st1, which is 7lb under original goal, so anything from here to 10st8 is fine with me. I tend to get obsessive so need to make sure I eat enough...
TDW I was here when you found out you were pregnant... Yay to halfway baked and double yay to having another boy! I have two sons, it's fab...

Hello everyone else!

knottyhair · 26/01/2012 15:57

Paxton, I was indeed all over the place. Glad you've got the car sorted. Dinky, I also had a bit of a biff day yesterday following a mini eclair incident to celebrate my friend's birthday. Not too bad, but definitely over my allowance! Have done OK so far today but I'm out for dinner tonight for another friend's birthday so I'm sure it will go rapidly downhill! Nevermind. Belle, congrats on reaching your goal (and beyond!). I'm also trying to maintain now, around the 9 stone mark (I'm only 5' 4"). Seem to veer between 8st 11 and 9 stone. MFP will give you a calorie limit for maintenance but I can understand that using a tracker like that might not help with the obsessive tendencies! What sort of exercise do you do?
