Whoops. Managed to fill it up again! Hope it's OK to start a new one. Let's keep going everyone - big zonetastic push up to the festive season!!

OP posts:

Hi everyone. Everyone seems okay here. Play went well, he was an innkeeper. I had to pick him up from school early yesterday as he wasn't feeling well. There is a tummy bug going around and only 10 or so kids were in his class yesterday and today! Fingers crossed the sickness seems to have missed him.

dinky wow a reply from Nigella, I love her. knotty hope you have a nice lunch today. It is very hard to keep in the zone this time of year.
Hope everyone is okay.

ThePaxton · 16/12/2011 09:11

Sadly the sickness has arrived. I had to pick up DS2 from school again after he was sick in class and during the night DS1 was very ill and has been every half hour or so. He's asleep at the mo and DS2 in colouring in but has eaten and seems better. We're supposed to be going to see my Dad and his wife tomorrow so I'll see how they are in the morning.

On a happier note, I've lost 2lbs. WOOO HOOO, my first lost on this thread (I think!) There is no logic to this weight loss malarky. A few weeks ago I was exercising everyday, eating well and lost nothing and for the last 2 weeks I've not exercised and have been eating okay-ish and have lost weight. Also, it's sods law that I would lose lbs and get some momentum the week before Christmas Grin. At least I know I can lose weight, I thought there was something wrong with me!!

Hope everyone has a good day.

knottyhohohohair · 16/12/2011 10:00

Morning! Hope your DCs feel better soon, Paxton, and everyone else in your house stays well. And great loss Smile!

Had another lovely day yesterday - lunch at Carluccio's and was semi-good, had mushroom & pancetta soup but with a big old lump of focaccia - was nice though. Did 4 circuits of NMTZ this morning. Spicy chicken soup for lunch today and not sure about tea yet, but probably something involving leeks, pasta and bacon or chorizo. Good luck to anyone else for the WI! x

drinkystinkyyuletidegubbins · 16/12/2011 10:02

Oh no Paxton - at least the illness is hitting now rather than at xmas so hopefully your kids will all be fine soon. Well done on your loss too especially at this time of year. Not weighed in today - feels like I've put on some weight but will definitey weigh in next week. Did killer pt session yesterday with lots of emphasis on legs and glutes and my bum is killing me today - maybe all the enforced standing I have to do today will help shed some calories Xmas Hmm

justamincepie · 16/12/2011 11:52

helloooo all , where does the time go? Is there any room for a fattie? 2lb on for me. My heart really hasn't been in it this week. No oomph to exercise following my illness - I had a very severe allergic reaction which resulted in a trip to A&E in the early hours and I've been surrounded by far too many tasty temptations at work. On a plus note the side effects of the drugs i was on have worn off and I'm no longer suffering from toothache as the dentist took my tooth out yesterday - eek! It was beyond saving Sad therefore it looks like soup for me for a few days (and chocolate since that melts in the mouth Wink)

Does anyone remember me harping on about a tree causing root damage in our garden? well, after months/years of wrangling 3 men have arrived today to remove it. This will make dh's Christmas.

Paxton - sorry to hear the sickness bug is visiting your household. As dinky says "better this week than next" , never nice though.

Knotty - T wells is my neck of the woods, I'm off there in a bit but sadly won't be visiting the lovely Carluccios I still have a mountain of Christmas shopping to conquer.

I'm going to try to exercise and eat sensibly this week in the hope of a pre Christmas loss. I need to end the year weighing less than when it started.

drinkystinkyyuletidegubbins · 16/12/2011 11:59

JAM - bet you'll lose weight on the liquids only diet. Sorry to hear you've been in the wars in such a massive way - hope you're feeling better now - and hey, this time of year is when everyone puts weight on. If you manage to keep your gain to just 2lbs - or lose some of that - you'll have done really well.

knottyhohohohair · 17/12/2011 08:50

Dinky, hope your bum is better today Grin. JAM, sounds like you've really been suffering lately. And I hope your DH was pleased about the tree going! Good luck with fitting in some exercise this week.
Did a L1 Shred with weights in the cardio this morning. Soup of some description for lunch. Then DP is out for his "works do" later (basically out for a curry & beers with his BIL and their financial bloke!). So DS has chosen our tea (tuna burgers with salad) to eat in front of the Strictly final followed by too much Christmas chocolate. Hope you all have a good day x

knottyhohohohair · 20/12/2011 06:05

Morning! Hope everyone's OK and too stressed out.

Had MIL over yesterday for lunch and dinner. Did manage L1 6W6P before she arrived but then ate quite a lot of pork & cranberry pie at lunch, and I made some mulled cider which slid down very easily, and shepherds pie for dinner, so today's another day! Can't exercise today as I've got a blood test at 7.40 (thanks for that, dr's surgery!), and then last trip into town whilst DS is at his friend's this morning. I will walk to town though at vain attempt to get rid of pork pie calories . Hope you're all doing OK x

drinkystinkyyuletidegubbins · 20/12/2011 09:58

Hmm, mulled cider sounds nice Knotty.

Have room lunch at posh restaurant at the Zetter and then department drinks tonight so not going to be a zonetastic day today - have also come down with a lurgy (no voice, sore throat, generally under the weather) so have given circuits a miss but will try and squeeze in pilates before the eating and drinking commences...

ThePaxton · 20/12/2011 10:14

Hi everyone. jam hope you're feeling okay now knotty pork and cranberry pie sounds lovely.

Well DP and I both caught the bug! I was up Friday night so Saturday was spent with me on the sofa and DP in bed. Yesterday we were back to normal, but we haven't eaten a proper dinner since Friday. But as everyone said, be thankful it wasn't this weekend. Today we're going to my Dad's to get Christmas pressies. Grin
Hope everyone is okay and has a good day.

ThePaxton · 20/12/2011 10:15

dinky have a good night and hope you feel better tomorrow.

knottyhohohohair · 21/12/2011 09:45

Dinky, hope you're feeling better today. And you Paxton - that sort of bug is rotten at any time of the year.

I braved Waitrose at 8am this morning, and it wasn't too bad. Back home for breakfast & shower, then I just need to make some coleslaw before I head out with DS for lunch with my friends and his friends. Also out for a curry and drinks with the girls tonight, so NOT a zonetastic day today. Hoping not to be too hungover to do Jillian tomorrow morning. Fingers crossed x

LadyBuzz · 22/12/2011 17:57

I have a confession! I am not in any way on a diet until the new year Blush Grin I've stopped trying to convince myself I am trying when I quite blatantly am not. So no weigh ins until the New year for me!
I have been lurking but was far too ashamed to post Blush

Any news from TDW?

dinky same here 9 adults and 3 children, I'm actually really looking forward to it.
House is cleaned, presents are wrapped and delivered and food is bought and ready to go.

If i'm not on before I hope you all have a fabulous christmas x

knottyhohohohair · 23/12/2011 09:35

Hi LadyBuzz! Nice to see you back here. It's really difficult at this time of year to stay in the zone, what with a to do list as long as your arm, and being surrounded by extra (or is that just my house??). Personally, I'm just trying to fit in exercise where I can and not go TOO mad with the food, although I did make a yule log yesterday which seems to be disappearing quite quickly Xmas Blush. Was too hungover tired yesterday to do Jillian but managed 4 circuits of BFBM this morning. Have a gala pie to make this morning whilst DS has a friend to play, then taking DS to my mum's this afternoon to stay over as DP and I are off to see Sherlock Holmes tonight - Robert Downey Jr, I'm coming to get you!

ThePaxton · 23/12/2011 17:24

Hi everyone. All better here, although still not feeling 100%. Just don't want to eat anything except really plain things. So I've lost another 2lbs this week, which is good but I know it's because of the weekend and fully expect to put it back on over the weekend. Xmas Grin Needless to say no exercise done here.

I don't think I'll be on again before Christmas, we have the in-laws tomorrow and up to mums on Sunday. So I hope everyone has a lovely Christmas and we all don't biff to much xxx Xmas Smile

knottyhohohohair · 24/12/2011 09:28

Paxton, hope you recover soon.

Well that's the last bit of exercise done for a couple of days at least - horrible L2 Shred. Sherlock Holmes was great last night with sufficient shirtless action from RDJ Xmas Grin.

Have a fab Christmas everyone! xx

justamincepie · 24/12/2011 21:04

It's very quiet around these parts of late, I guess that is to be expected, it's hard to diet with so much temptation/ entertaining going on.

I think i need to ask Santa for some new scales, I stepped on this morning and allegedly I have lost 4 lb! Personally I think that's impossible but I'm claiming it Xmas Grin. Happy Christmas all.

knottyhohohohair · 27/12/2011 10:39

Hi everyone! Hope you're all enjoying the festivities! JAM, that's amazing! Definitely claim it Xmas Smile. Have literally stuffed my face for the last 2 days but did 4 circuits of NMTZ this morning, just as well as we have a party at a friend's house this afternoon, and another family do here tomorrow - trying to fit it in when I can in a vain attempt to limit the damage. Had a lovely couple of days - hope you all have too x

ThePaxton · 29/12/2011 12:15

Hi everyone. Hope you all had a great Christmas. Def ate far too much.
Yes JAM def claim it. I hope my scales are nice to me on Friday!! Knotty you're so good exercising. Ripped in 30 arrived today, so will watch later - gulp!! Hope everyone has a good day x

knottyhohohohair · 29/12/2011 21:42

Hi everyone! Woke up with another sore throat this morning (caught it off DP), but have felt better as the day has gone on. Ripped in 30 and Killer Buns & Thighs arrived this afternoon so hoping to be OK to try one of them in the morning. Have eaten a bit more normally today - made some vegetable soup for lunch and had roast chicken with root veg mash & cauliflower for tea. Mind you, I then watched Level 1 of Killer Buns whilst eating cherry liqueur chocolates Grin.

knottyhohohohair · 31/12/2011 07:48

Just wanted to say Happy New Year, and here's to some great results in 2012! Have a great evening whatever you get up to xxx

justamincepie · 31/12/2011 16:10

Amazingly after much stilton munching the scales have STS. Xmas Shock Scales must be bust but I'm claiming it Xmas Grin.

I think I have managed to sts by going out for a couple of runs this week. I'm strangely enjoying the running and it gives me an opportunity to leave the chaos at home. I bravely went to a running store in the week to have my gait analysed and get some proper running trainers (my Xmas present to myself). The very diplomatic man said "I ran like a girl and needed to harness the muscles in my thighs and glutes" Apparently I have a lot of muscle I just need to use it..... i.e I have a BIG BUM !Blush

Looking forward to kicking butt and no biffing with you all in 2012.

drinkystinkyyuletidegubbins · 31/12/2011 20:39

Wishing everyone a very happy - and zonetastic - new year. Have definitely put on ALOT of weight - will be weighing and zoning again from tomorrow onwards...

ThePaxton · 01/01/2012 13:52

Wishing everyone a Happy New Year. Here's to a zonetastic 2012. I out back on the 2lbs I lost while ill, so that's not too bad. Back on it tomorrow but am logging onto MFP today.

Our new year was spoilt, at about 5pm yesterday a car crashed into our parked car outside the house. He was drunk, off his face and in his mum's car which he's not insured for. He got arrested for drink driving. Now comes the aggravation of going through insurance etc. What a prick, really pissed off. He must have gone up our road at some speed because the side of our car is damaged and it pushed our car onto the car infront and damaged that. Lucky we weren't in the car. Really f-ing hate drink drivers.

Hope everyone has a lovely new years day. x

knottyhohohohair · 02/01/2012 09:39

Paxton, that's awful! Glad you weren't in the car but shitty all the same Sad.

Had a bit of a foodie weekend with friends staying but did Ripped in 30 this morning and we're going out for a walk in a bit - only 3 miles but better than nothing. May be a pub lunch involved though.... Have a good day xx
