Whoops. Managed to fill it up again! Hope it's OK to start a new one. Let's keep going everyone - big zonetastic push up to the festive season!!

OP posts:
LadyBuzz · 02/12/2011 20:18

hello ladies, i'm lurking and trying to keep up. DH is working away so i have DCs and SIL to look after Hmm so my MN time is severely compromised!
Still not quite made it back into the zone Blush

I'm loving the new festive guises!

belle good to see you again, well done!

knotty get you in your size 8 jeans, fab!

I am going to get back into that zone!

knottyhohohohair · 03/12/2011 06:10

Morning! Ooh it's early. JAM, Santa's sack looks good, but mind that bit of tinsel doesn't chafe Xmas Wink, and glad you going to log everything on MFP. Good luck! LadyBuzz, must be tough with DH away - how long has he gone for? Come on back in the zone, there's a nice comfy cushion here with your name on it.
Enjoyed the takeaway last night but I've no idea what I had in terms of calories. I was fairly good during the day so hoping it was OK. Having said that, off to London today with my friend and our DSs so gord knows what will pass my lips. I'll try not to go too mad, and we'll be doing a bit of walking. Going to St Pancras to see the Lego christmas tree and then to Winter Wonderland. Have a lovely weekend! x

ThePaxton · 03/12/2011 20:15

knotty Hope you enjoyed your London trip. I will def take my boys to see the Lego tree. And thanks for answering my questions. Slow and steady loss seems the way forward. The quick weight loss just doesn't seem to work for me, I've been trying it for years. Smile

JAM I must be more honest with MFP too, I feel guilty if I go over, like I'll get in trouble. Grin

Am loving all the new Christmas names. Hope everyone is okay

knottyhohohohair · 04/12/2011 07:38

Paxton, the Lego tree is definitely worth a visit if you're near St Pancras - DS and his friend loved it! Had a really nice day but Winter Wonderland was absolutely rammed! Didn't have to queue too long for anything as it seems to be really well run but just getting around the site meant shuffling along at a snail's pace in a massive crowd of people! Absolute write off food-wise yesterday however. Had a lovely lunch in Carluccio's (calves liver & mash, glass of Prosecco), then a crepe, a mulled wine and a bratwurst at WW, then DP picked us up from the station in the evening and we got fish & chips on the way home! I did only have a handful of chips and a tiny bit of fish but still.... felt absolutely stuffed when I went to bed. Back to it today... soup for lunch and making cottage pie for tea. Hope you're all having a lovely weekend xx

drinkystinkyyuletidegubbins · 05/12/2011 11:45

Hello all. Glad you had a good time in London Knotty and MUST take DS1 to the lego xmas tree, he'll love it! I have had a busy weekend here too which was definitely out of the zone- went to see Kate Rusby in concert at the Barbican on Friday which was excellent and v christmassy, DS1's christmas dance show on Saturday morning then 3 hour drive to Lincoln xmas fair (lovely but soooooooooooooo packed! DS1 and DS2 loved it though) then on to my folks for dinner and there on sunday then back home.

knottyhohohohair · 05/12/2011 13:04

Dinky, sounds like a lovely weekend - we saw Kate Rusby a couple of years ago, she was fab.

Still got a pigging cough hanging around, so I'm not exercising at the moment. Feel OK in myself, just can't shift it. Don't want to make it worse (which I've done before) so I'll see how it goes later in the week. Had minestrone for lunch, and cottage pie for tea that we were meant to have last night. The hob was still out of use last night as the worktops weren't dry but managed to shove a chicken in the oven and we had that with salad & bread. Hope everyone's having a good day xx

knottyhohohohair · 05/12/2011 13:06

Meant to say - have you all seen this ? Did it last year as well for DS - he loved it! And it's free.

drinkystinkyyuletidegubbins · 06/12/2011 10:32

That looks super cool Knotty - you really are the spirit of all things Christmassy!

knottyhohohohair · 06/12/2011 14:34

Ho ho ho Xmas Smile. Just made 2 quiches to go in the freezer for Christmas, and have been trying and failing not to eat the pastry trimmings. Spicy chicken soup for lunch, and grilled mackerel with beetroot & herb couscous for tea. Hope everyone's OK and not working too hard, and staying in the zone xx

knottyhohohohair · 08/12/2011 08:25

Morning! Off to London with DP later this morning - out for lunch then to a matinee performance of Millionaire Quartet. Hope we don't get blown away! Have a good day xx

drinkystinkyyuletidegubbins · 08/12/2011 10:57

Have fun Knotty - hope you're feeling better x

knottyhohohohair · 09/12/2011 12:07

Thanks Dinky. Had a great time - rib eye steak for lunch and a visit to a patisserie, very nice! Trying to be good with food today (soup and half a ham sandwich for lunch) but we're taking DS to see Arthur Christmas this evening and we're going out to eat first, don't know where yet. Oh well, better tackle the mountain of present wrapping.... Good luck to anyone weighing in. LadyBuzz, come on, share your results Smile

justamincepie · 09/12/2011 20:42

Life's a bit hectic at the mo and I'm not well. No time nor energy to exercise but annoyingly my appetite hasn't been affected. Will try to remember tomorrow.

knottyhohohohair · 10/12/2011 05:56

Sorry you're not well JAM, hope you feel better soon.
Enjoyed the film last night, and DS loved it too - highly recommended! Going to get our tree today, but have got a million things to do before we go, so I'm going to Shred tomorrow morning! I can only manage 3 days this week due to various bits going on but I'm missing it and I need to fit it in when I can. Hope everyone's OK xx

LadyBuzz · 10/12/2011 10:13

Hello ladies, this week I have lost 2 1/2 lbs Xmas Grin
I'm definitely back in the zone, I am going out tonight for a meal but I am taking the car so no alcohol calories to consider.

knotty I will also be tackling present mountain today, but I have finished my shopping, so just the food to get now!
I'm cooking for 12 this year so i need to be organised!

JAM hope you are feeling better soon

justamincepie · 10/12/2011 18:11

Well done Ladybuzz - good going. Enjoy your night out.

I'm a dull stay the same. Drugs are making me feel v lethargic but I'm not allowed to drink so hopefully that will help conserve the calories. I had some non alcoholic mulled wine at the garden centre today whilst choosing the tree - it was grim Xmas Sad.

Glad to hear the good review for Arthur Christmas. I'm tempted to take the dcs in the hols.

knottyhohohohair · 11/12/2011 09:16

Wow LadyBuzz, 12 for Christmas! Good luck! Just the 3 of us for Christmas Day this year, which we're really looking forward to actually. My family are coming over Boxing Day, and DP's on the Wednesday so it will be nice to have a relaxing Christmas Day. Hope you enjoyed your meal. And amazing loss BTW Smile.
JAM, well done on STS. Hope you feel better soon. Is it a bug?
Back to Jillian-ing this morning and I loved it! Did L3 Shred and found it v.tough but enjoyable. Prawn wrap for lunch and sausages with sweet potato chips for tea later. We're going to visit my sister in her new house this afternoon, and she's asked me to make some mince pies to go with the stollen & cake she's got, so it's just as well I've shredded I think. Have a good day x

drinkystinkyyuletidegubbins · 12/12/2011 15:51

Ladybuzz - snap, we're cooking for 12 this christmas too (though 3 are kids so really its like 9 adults and some veggies for 2 kids and turkey and bread for one). Well done on your fab loss. Sorry you're feeling rough JAM - hope you feel better soon - and a sts on no exercise is good work.

Glad you're back in the land of Jillian Knotty. Enjoy.

Had manic weekend and not much zonetastic eating so back on the straight and narrow as of today.

knottyhohohohair · 12/12/2011 17:23

Dinky, hope your weekend was manic in a good way!
Lovely afternoon at my sister's. Had a mini stollen bite, a few crisps & a glass of port - very festive!
No Jillian today as DS's christmas play was first thing. Had soup for lunch and chicken with rice & veg for tea later. Hope everyone's OK - JAM, how're you feeling?

drinkystinkyyuletidegubbins · 13/12/2011 09:00

Most in a good way Knotty - went to see La Soiree at the roundhouse on Saturday night and DH got dragged up on stage by drag artist and made to perform with "her". Was v v funny!

Glad you had a lovely time at your sisters and hope your DS's christmas play goes ok this morning. Am dragging DH DS1 and DS2 to our firm's christmas carol service this evening - rather hoping DS2 (who at nearly 3 is abit of live wire) doesnt disrupt the service too much!

ThePaxton · 13/12/2011 09:50

Hi everyone! MIA for the last week. DP and DS2 we both off ill most of last week and I'm not feeling great. Nothing has come out, so to speak, but I have had a nagging headache and feeling crap for a few days so must be fighting something.

JAM hope you're feeling better. Wow ladybuzz and dinky thinking about cooking for 12 breaks me out in a cold sweat!! knotty hope your son's play went well, DS2's is this afternoon.

knottyhohohohair · 13/12/2011 09:52

Morning! Dinky, that sounds brilliant! Hope the carol service goes well. DS's play was good thanks - he was a decorator called Mark with 2 lines - not the usual nativity! They did manage to shoehorn in a bit of religious stuff though.

Did a weigh-in this morning as it's been a month since I last did it. Have put on 1.75lbs, which I don't think is too bad seeing as I've hardly done any exercise for various reasons and have eaten out A LOT! Going to weigh in again after Christmas now and hopefully the results won't be too bad!
Did 4 circuits of BFBM first thing this morning. Fruit & toast for breakfast, soup for lunch and prawn & noodle stir-fry for tea. Found out last night that my MIL has decided to come over from Austria on Sunday for Christmas nothing like a bit of notice. She's based with DP's sister but will be with us for some of the time, and has several made-up allergies & intolerances so I need to get my head around what to feed her. Oh well, DS is pleased! Have a nice day xx

knottyhohohohair · 13/12/2011 09:53

Cross-posted! Hi Paxton! Hope you and your family feel better soon, there's so much stuff going around. Hope your DS's play goes well x

drinkystinkyyuletidegubbins · 14/12/2011 15:06

Where is everyone?

Paxton - hope everyone gets better soon and your DS's play goes well. Fortunately the lovely Nigella has answered my question on the webchat so all should now (touch wood) be in hand for catering for 12...

Knotty - carol service was lovely thanks. DS1 desperate to go see the lego tree - will take him there on Saturday I think.

knottyhohohohair · 15/12/2011 08:38

Ooh, Dinky, a reply from Nigella, how exciting!! Glad the carol service went OK, and hope you get to the Lego tree on Saturday.
Went out for lunch yesterday with a friend - shared some grilled halloumi and some crab cakes. Off to Tunbridge Wells today with another friend and another lunch! Not great for the zone but will do my best! Hope you all have nice days x
