Afternoon! Very quiet on here. Still out of action here Sad. Veg soup & crumpet for lunch and fish pie & kale for tea later. Hope you're all keeping well and staying in the zone Smile x

Oh no Knotty - sorry you're still feeling so bleurgh. Are you loading up on vitamins as well as day nurse? Take it easy and hope you feel better soon - at least you now have hot water and heating while you're ill!

All fine here - off to Sadlers wells to see dance show tonight. V excited.

ThePaxton · 17/11/2011 18:15

knotty hope you're feeling a bit better and thanks for the advice. I just have to remember it's a marathon and not a sprint. Had a rest from exercise yesterday and did BFBM this morning. I've made a big batch of butternut squash and lentil soup for mine and DP's lunches, I've just had some for dinner, yum.

Hope everyone is okay.

justaminute · 17/11/2011 20:09

Sounds like you are doing well Paxton, sorry to hear you are feeling under the weather again Knotty and oooh at Dinky's night out. I'm afraid I'm suffering from a big dose of "Can't be arsed". I've eaten a lot of rubbish today, zero self control and too ashamed to record it all on MFP. I'm worried about WI tomorrow. I need to shake myself out of this mood.

LadyBuzz · 18/11/2011 07:54

knotty hope you are feeling better lovely. That soup sounds delicious!

paxton I've gone for 1-2 lbs per week aswell, it seems to be working (slowly)
1.8lb off for me today which takes me back under 11stone again Grin.

Still on for that 10 1/2 by christmas at the moment.

Good luck everyone today.

JAM I have those days, don't feel bad, put it behind you and make the next one a new start.

knottyhair · 18/11/2011 09:50

Morning! Dinky, hope you enjoyed your show. Paxton, well done on keeping up with the exercise, and the soup sounds lovely! JAM, sorry you had a bad day, but having seen your update on MFP, doesn't sound like you had a lot to worry about Smile. LadyBuzz, great loss, you're well on course to reach your Christmas target.

Think I'm a bit better today, certainly had a better night's sleep but still rough as a badger's backside. Mushroom soup for lunch and sticky chicken with garlic & vegetable rice for tea. Good luck to everyone for the WI and hope you all have a good day xx

I braved the scales. Was in fear of topping 12 stone but amazingly I've lost a couple of pounds so I'm pretty much back to where I started. I need to find something to motivate me, just "wanting to be slim" isn't cutting the mustard.

dinkystinky · 18/11/2011 10:12

Morning all - glad you're feling better Knotty but sorry you're still not 100%. Hope you shake it off shortly.

Hurrah for loss JAM - can you set yourself a mini goal with treat (massage, new haircut, expensive new [insert object of desire here]) to spur you on?

STS here - fingers crossed for a loss next week.

ThePaxton · 18/11/2011 20:37

Evening all!! knotty glad you're feeling better. Well done on the loss ladybuzz and JAM. I also have can't be arsed weeks, which is why I joined the thread, but I have little treats for myself as I lose some weight. My next goal is 10st 7lb and a posh lippy. When I reach my goal weight I'm having a shopping spree. At this rate it'll be in 2013 Grin

I'm also STS dinky. Well I think I am. I weighed myself this morning once I had gone to the bathroom and was 10st 11lb and then after I exercised in the afternoon I was 10st 9lb. Hmm I want to take that one as my weight but think I'll 'record' 10st11lb I'm taking your advice knotty and see what the loss is like over a month.

Hope everyone has had a good day.

knottyhair · 19/11/2011 08:24

Well done JAM, and good advice from Dinky re: mini-goals. Also good STSs for Dinky and ThePaxton Smile. When it comes to weighing yourself, I always do my weigh-ins at the same time, and in the same place, and just once, then there's no paranoia worrying about why they show a certain result.

Seem to be a bit better this morning, but in no way well enough for Jillian. Did a fortnightly weigh in today (forgot yesterday) and I've lost 2.75lbs Shock! Have been under my allowance on a couple of days this week as I've not been feeling like eating as much but even so. Maybe I should adjust my calories a bit? Or make the most of it in readiness for the food fest that is Christmas Grin? Hope you all have a good weekend x

dinkystinky · 21/11/2011 08:52

Wow Knotty - you're losing weight without even trying!

knottyhair · 21/11/2011 14:12

I'm sure it'll change when I get back to normal Dinky! Also have managed to polish off a whole Mars Bar today Blush - I never normally eat anything like that, only when I feel a bit "off". Made a big pot of minestrone soup yesterday which I had again today, and roast chicken with butternut squash & sage for dinner tonight. Hope everyone's doing OK x

OP posts:
knottyhair · 22/11/2011 13:48

Hope everyone's OK - very quiet on here at the mo. Been into town today so had a Pret a Manger thai chicken curry soup for lunch - very tasty. Making prawn & chorizo rice for tea. Definitely on the mend here but not up to Jillian just yet. Hope you're all keeping healthy x

Hi everyone, not been on the last few days, had a busy weekend. Also, DS2's hamster died on sunday Sad He's been very upset, he got him for his 6th bday in Sept, so we've only had her 2 months. She was a bit 'evil' to him, she kept biting him but he wants another one so we'll get one on Thurs. Bless him.

All going okay on the food front, DS1's friend stayed on sat night and I made brownies and only had two! Have 'Jillianed' sat, yesterday and today. Am feeling slimmer even though the scales are being stubborn Grin. Had a tuna salad for lunch and grilled chicken and veg for dinner.

knottyhair glad you're feeling better. Hope everyone is okay.

justaminute · 22/11/2011 22:57

Sorry for not keeping you company Knotty - I'm loving my new job but the downside is the lack of personal internet access, I'm wondering how I ever did any work in my old job! You losing weight without trying is impressive stuff you are truly zoned Smile

I've had a good few days I'm trying to implement Dinky's "mindful eating" whilst keeping busy to control the cravings. Troughing food when I'm tired is my downfall I just can't do "Just one". I'm also aiming to fit in 30 days of shredding before Xmas. So far I've managed 2 days but have failed to do it in the last 2 days - I may have to do a double session (eek) on my day off to stay on track.

Also I'm struggling to think of suitable mini treats. I know, I know it's worrying! Clothes shopping and beauty treatments don't really do it for me, my treats are normally food related which doesn't seem appropriate. Suggestions on a postcard please.

dinkystinky · 23/11/2011 08:49

JAM - well done on the mindful eating and the shredding - keep up the good work. As for mini treats - new running gear? Fitness magazine? Long bath with lovely smellies and a book or magazine? It has to be something you really want and dont normally let yourself have.

knottyhair · 23/11/2011 13:51

Afternoon! JAM, sometimes I forget that some of you have more important things to do than post on here Grin and good luck with your Shredding goal! Paxton, hope your DS is feeling better, poor love, it's so hard when they have to start learning about the more difficult side of life Sad.

Was going to attempt a bit of exercise this morning but have ended up being lumbered with offering to do DP's tax return so have been sat on my arse all morning trying to work out his "filing system" which mainly consists of stuffing faded, sometimes torn, receipts in a cardboard box. Have managed to fit in making a bolognese sauce for tea tonight but other than that my day is filled with Screwfix receipts & Inland Revenue gubbins. Deep joy. Hope you're all having a good one x

gah i'm having a bad week, my SIL was rushed into hospital yesterday with appendicitis I've been biffing big style.
I'm not looking forward to WI on Friday. I also have PMT.
I went clothes shopping yesterday, everything was horrid and made me look huge (damn you primark and your small sizes).
Rant over!

paxton sorry for your DS, hope the new addition cheers him up.

Well done JAM for being focused, long may it continue.

Hello to everyone else, got to run i think the DCs are killing each other!

thedogwalker · 23/11/2011 19:37

Hi all, sorry not posted for a while, been having morning sickmess really bad and not felt like doing anything. Thankfully it abated today and hopefully will stay away.
Paxton Hope your DS feels better soon, the new hampster should help him mend.
Knotty not a good day for you doing tax returns, yuk, hope he pays you in kind Grin
Hi to everyone, hope everyone is well. Keep up the good work and I will try and post more often, take care xx

thedogwalker · 23/11/2011 19:37

Sickness obviously but I was a mess Smile

knottyhair · 24/11/2011 10:09

LadyBuzz, hope your SIL is OK, is she still in hospital? Try not to worry about the WI, it is what it is and if it's not a good result, it gives you a place to start again from. Clothes shopping is ALWAYS a trial, the shops vary so much in their sizes. Plus PMT always makes me feel bigger than I am.
TDW, hope your morning sickness has stayed away, and if paying me in kind means falling asleep on the bean bag at 9pm last night Grin .... bless him, he's knackered at the moment.

Feel fine now but still a bit snotty & chesty (what a lovely image) so I think I'm going to leave it until Monday and then start the workouts with a vengeance! Mushroom soup for lunch today, and grilled mackerel with rice & veg for tea. Made the mistake of opening a "Christmas" box of cherry liqueur chocolates last night and ate about 4 Blush. Hope you all have a good day x

dinkystinky · 24/11/2011 15:15

LadyBuzz - hope your SIL is recorering well. Give WI a miss this week and get back into the zone when you're ready.

TDW - lovely to see you. Hope the bump is ocming along nicely.

Paxton - missed about your DS. Hope you pick a non-biting hamster and he grows to love this one even more.

Knotty - tiake it easy on yourself - definitely Jillian free zone until you feel 100% (maybe build up to Jillian with a little bit of Davina)?

LadyBuzz · 24/11/2011 17:03

dinky that is a great idea, I will draw a line under this week and until next Friday!

tdw hope the morning sickness stays away for you.

knotty look after yourself and have a few days rest until you are back to normal.

SIL is back home, they operated last night and packed her off this morning, shes not well but glad to be home!

ThePaxton · 24/11/2011 22:17

LadyBuzz glad everything went okay with your SIL and she's back on her feet soon. TDW hope your morning sickness stays away, knotty glad you're better.

Thanks for all your kind words about DS2, he's fine now. We going to wait to get a replacement until after next week as we're getting new carpets fitted next weekend and I don't want to stress out another hamster.

Didn't exercise today and haven't eaten well over the last few days, not been on MFP. Two weeks in and this is the time when I usually fall off the wagon, so am going to make a red pepper soup tomorrow and have salmon for dinner. It's funny, I want to lose weight, get healthy and look better, but sometimes I can't be arsed. WI tomorrow should be fun!

Hope everyone is okay.

justaminute · 25/11/2011 07:50

Paxton - "It's funny, I want to lose weight, get healthy and look better, but sometimes I can't be arsed" that is so me! I'm also looking for a quick fix miracle where half a stone disappears over night. Are we twins?!

Yesterday I went back to the running group and managed a slow and steady 50 minutes of running I think we did between 4 and 5 miles but then I managed to eat all the calories I'd used AND had a kit kat blow out Blush One finger led to another and so on..... Kicking myself as the scales show I have lost 1 pound but that's likely to go straight back on now. Struggling to fit in the Shred too. However eating sensibly for 5 out of 7 days felt good and proved I can get results if I think about it - just need to persevere.

Ladybuzz - hope you find your way back to the zone after all the stress.

TDW - Yuck to morning sickness, I found it a killer. Are you still keeping it a secret from work colleagues? I found that to be tough when I was having to pop to the loos all the time to throw up. I found sucking polos and eating satsumas helped - although not together that's just wrong!

Knotty - I hope you're not coming down with Jillian withdrawal!

Dinky - thanks for the suggestions, I think a magazine will do the trick and then some running gear at the elusive 11 stone mark.

Think that's you all covered, apologies to anyone/anything I've missed. Have a good weekend all.
