Send in the dancing girls, crack open the champagne ryvitas, strike up the band etc etc... This week I have lost 5lb! :o :) Taking me to 10st8, which is my target weight. I've lost 3st since March. Hurrah!

I don't quite see how this has happened- I had a biffathon at the weekend, and was going low carb and v. healthy during this week, thinking I'd struggle for an STS. But I've not gone hungry, and most of it (except the cabbage soup, and that was a mistake!) was really delish.

So, I'm going to try and mantain from now on- Perhaps lose about 3lb more, just so's I can be 10st8 with my clothes on and middle of the afternoon and not just in the morning in the buff!

Must Not Celebrate With Cake

Good luck to you all with your weigh-ins- And thank you.

knottyhair · 07/10/2011 08:24

Yay, Belle!!! That's amazing, you go girl Smile. Bet you feel great!
Ladybuzz, sorry your first day was a bit "underwhelming"! Hope it improves on Monday. Dinky, what time did Asda deem to show their face in the end? What a fecking pain in the proverbial!

Going to do 4 circuits of NMTZ with some cardio intervals when I've taken DS to school. He's got Harvest Festival today and as usual they've got to take something in to donate to a homeless shelter. I look after his friend before school as well and his mum's forgotten to give him anything so I've had a quick scrabble round the cupboards and they've got a tin of chickpeas and a tin of mango chunks (organic obvs Grin) - how bloody middle class Grin!

Bean soup for lunch and roast chicken for dinner later. Good luck everyone! xx

Hi all, Bloomin eck Belle way to go go girl, that's an amzing result, so happy for you Grin. Lady, hope works improves for you but doesn't get too hectic, we all know what it's like trying to juggle job, house work and LO. Hod old is DD? Dinky are you enjoying your Asda delivery or still seething, send them a letter of complaint, cheeky buggers. Knotty I too am going to harvest festival today with LO, finishing work at 12 so that I can get there in time, not told my boss yet, Hmm maybe I should do that soon.
I'm 1lb on this week, not fussed with all the excitement of the BFP. I can cope with small gains not the masses like last time. Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend, take care xx

justaminute · 07/10/2011 09:52

Blimey Belle! Amazing. I need to take a leaf out of your book. Damn biscuits keep luring me. However 1 pound off this week but a wedding to go to tomorrow. I'm debating whether to do the drinking or the driving. I need a drink to get up and dance, will the dancing calories outweigh the drinking ones? Hmmmm

LadyBuzz · 07/10/2011 10:06

Whoop Whoop belle well done you!

Almost 2lb off here which takes me under 11stone Grin

tdw DD is 8 1/2 months and not being a baby long enough for my liking!! DS1 sat like a big fat buddha until he was 11 months and did NOTHING, DS2 wasn't much different. DD is a little live wire Grin keeps me on my toes though!
Hope you managed to make your harvest festival.

Shaxx · 07/10/2011 10:13

Woohoo Belle! Well done you!
I'm taking a leaf out of your book too. You logged onto mfp regularly too?

Lady hope work gets better.

Knotty lol at middle class contributions. If I had to dig out a couple of cans, it would have to be chickpeas, kidney beans and greek olives.

I'm 1lb on too (but not pregnant!) Grrr.

I'm logging everything on mfp now til I lose 10lbs which mfp tells me is in 5 weeks!

Shaxx · 07/10/2011 10:14

Lady well done on brill 2lb loss.

dinkystinky · 07/10/2011 10:21

Hurrah for Belle and yay for Ladybuzz on hitting target and a milestone respectively. Great stuff.

Depending on where in my house I weigh myself I'm between 0.8lb and 4 lbs on this week - will just average it out and say 2lbs on. Ho hum. Accordingly to heartrate monitor have burned 2,500 calories in exercise this week (not including pilates session). Must be the crunchie biffs. Will not tattoo Crunchies are the work of the divvil on the back of my knuckles in penance...

Lol at your middleclass contributions Knotty - Asda never did sodding well turn up last night (stayed up till half 11 incase they did) so they'd be getting some elderly looking satsumas from the dinky household for their harvest fair if we had to send anything in today. Spent an hour on the phone to them this morning and they couldnt tell me when they could rearrange the delivery so cancelled it and am going back to my beloved, but more expensive, Ocado.

BelleEnd · 07/10/2011 13:11

That's shocking about Asda dinky. I live in the middle of nowhere so getting my shopping delivered isn't an option, but I do like the tales on here of weird substitutions...

dinkystinky · 07/10/2011 14:30

Fortunately I have a lovely corner shop 6 doors down from me Belle that opens at the crack of dawn so the boys had stuff bought for them for breakfast - and lovely Ocado are delivering my delivery tonight. Will never foresake them again...

BelleEnd · 07/10/2011 14:56

I have never been inside a Waitrose. Mind you, one was opened recently not far from where I was brought up- Princess Catherine does her shopping there, apparently she's lovely and does it herself with her bodyguard following from afar. She's lovely and polite the the ones that stop for a chat. :)

dinkystinky · 07/10/2011 15:26

Nah Waitrose online are rubbish - Ocado is the way forward...

Lol at your royal Waitrose though

BelleEnd · 07/10/2011 18:24

I thought Ocado was the name of Waitrose online Blush

thedogwalker · 07/10/2011 18:37

Well I've just taken the plunge and done my first grocery shopping on line. Gone with Tesco, lets see how they do, but Sainsbury's, Waitrose and Ocado all deliver to my village, so I might test them all.
Hope everyone has a great weekend, got a bbq to go to tomorrow, going to to tell them that I am on duty call, so cannot drink, don't want to tell people about the pg yet as it is way too early. Ta ta for now xx

knottyhair · 08/10/2011 09:54

Morning! JAM, enjoy the wedding! LadyBuzz, great loss, and well done on getting under 11 stone - fab. Shaxx, MFP is so great for helping you keep on track - I'd be lost without it. Dinky, christ Asda really are crap for home delivery. Don't blame you for going back to Ocado. TDW, enjoy your BBQ and hope you manage to keep your lovely secret Smile.

Well I've got a confession to make - I weighed myself this morning. DS was weighing himself (god, has it rubbed off on him??) and wanted me to do it as well. Didn't want to make a big deal so I did. 2 weeks of trying to maintain and I appear to have lost 1.5lbs. Puts me at 8 stone something for the first time in 11 years when I embarked on the "walk out on your husband on Xmas Day" diet. I've been under my allowance every day bar one, but still, don't really understand it. Pleased though Smile! It will all go out the window tonight mind - girls' night in round my friend's house with a takeaway and wine - it's her birthday and her husband's gone sailing round the Greek Islands for a week with his mates Hmm. Never mind! Have a good weekend everyone x

One tiny complaint about myfitnesspal- On the exercise bit, there's no listing for "dancing badly but very seriously to Michael Jackson in the kitchen, complete with zombie bits in Thriller". :o Blush

knottyhair · 08/10/2011 12:00

"Dancing, ballroom, fast"?? Grin

Shaxx · 09/10/2011 11:03

Knotty well done. I think losing weight is 2nd nature to you now!

Not a great day for food yesterday (trhis always happens to me at weekends!). Had a family get together. Lots of yummy food and my contribution to the party was a home made strawberry cheesecake. From the bbcgoodfood site. It was really good and sooooo much better than the ones you buy from the supermarket. It was too easy to have a nice generous portion.

Back to it today.
I'm going to the gym later too.

Hope you're all having a good weekend.

knottyhair · 09/10/2011 16:57

Shaxx, the cheesecake sounds lovely! I made a chocolate brownie cake for my friend's birthday last night and it was very naughty but nice! Had a good evening, about 3 glasses of wine but my body just isn't used to it and had a bad night's sleep as a result. Not hungover as such but knackered today. Went for a wander round a National Trust place today and had soup & bread in the tearoom and then a bit of tea loaf with butter later on. Very nice, but have had to guess the calories a bit. Lamb chop, couscous & salad for dinner later. Hope everyone's having a lovely weekend xx

knottyhair · 10/10/2011 14:06

Hope everyone had a good weekend. Shredded early this morning - so nice to get it out of the bloody way! Had chicken & veg broth for lunch, and I'm braising some red cabbage with a bit of brown sugar & a few raisins to go with pork meatballs tonight. Hope the wedding went well JAM, and the new job, and hope your new job is more enjoyable today Ladybuzz xx

OP posts:
Shaxx · 10/10/2011 19:10

Knotty well done on early shredding and your menus always sound good.

Hope the new jobs are going well.

I'm doing slimming world at the moment with a friend. I can't believe what I'm eating and I'm supposed to lose weight on it.

Today I had
banana, alpen light bar
jacket potato, veg chilli made with quorn, fruit salad
another alpen light bar
noodles with peppers and mushrooms, fat free vanilla yoghurt

I am stuffed but apparently this is all fine. I'm a bit Hmm
It seems too carby to me but there's hardly any fat in it which is apparently what works. I prefer this kind of diet to a high protein one though.

Hope you all had a good day.

LadyBuzz · 10/10/2011 21:03

knotty Wow 8 st something, funny how that last little bit came off when you had chilled out and stopped trying to get it!

I think I am going to love my new job, first day really getting to grips with it today, I even got to see someone having radio therapy - incredibly clever piece of kit!

Horrendous weekend food wise as we were out and about with family and eating out alot. BUT we did alot of walking too so I might just be OK.

belle I have great mental images of your dancing round your kitchen like a zombie Grin

BelleEnd · 11/10/2011 09:28

knotty How fab that you're losing without even thinking of it. Well done! Sounds like your eating habits have become healthy ones, and that you don't have to even think too much about it. Have some Thanks from me... :)

Shaxx Good luck with Slimming World. It's very popular round here and I know loads who've lost weight on it. I had a look once but it seemed a bit complicated for my stupid mind... And also I have a pathalogical fear of going to weightloss meetings irl! You lot don't count- You're probably 50-year-old hairy truckers anyway :o

LadyBuzz It's great that the new job is something that actually interests you. Radiotherapy is amazing, isn't it... I was Shock at how quickly is shrunk a tumour that my grandfather had last year. A week in hospital and it had gone from the size of a grapefruit to a golf ball. And now he's had the all-clear! Must be great to have a job that actually makes a difference.

knottyhair · 11/10/2011 10:13

Morning! Thanks for your lovely words Belle and the Thanks - I'll try not to have them drooping and dropping petals by the end of the day, as is my usual way Blush. And glad to hear your grandfather has had the all-clear Smile. Shaxx, same here, good luck with Slimming World! Sounds like it is really suiting you. Ladybuzz, glad you're enjoying your job!
Did 4 circuits of BFBM this morning. Soup for lunch and I'm making a cake from the new issue of Healthy Food magazine (good mag BTW) - a sticky citrus loaf which is apparently 199 cals per slice. I'll let you know what it's like. Going to have Jillian's chicken with fennel & carrots tonight with some rice. Have a good day everyone xx

dinkystinky · 11/10/2011 10:34

Knotty - wow at being in the 8s! You relally are our poster girl. Citrus loaf sounds nice too.
Lady - glad you're enjoying your new job.
Shaxx - glad you're enjoying Slimming World. I think its a case of finding what works for you and sticking with it.
Belle - glad your gradndad got the all clear.

Had flu over the weekend and still slightly wiped out by it. Did usual bodycombat/zumba yesterday and circuits this morning but not really feeling energised by it...
