Hi all

I wondered if anyone else was planning to follow Paul mckenna this year and lose their weight?

im currently 16st13 and intend to end the year a fit toned 10st. im a bit hit and miss with following the golden rules but when i do i have seen results so from today i will follow it and get the results i want.

as well as the weight loss with paul mckenna i intend to

Beardo the just dance 2 fitness thing every day till my husband (RAF) flies out to the middle east around april

Bear do the couch to 5k plan and run race for life this year

Bearstart the 30 day shred when dh goes away and repeat it till he comes home (approx 4 months)

I also have one of those magic leg trainers coming on home approval so will have a play with that and see if its worth keping, apart from that i will reassess my fitness in august when he gets home and come to some decisions on how to go forward with that then but for now these seem like reasonable goals, especially when they're on top of really following the golden rules.

so anyone else following 'the rules' this year and going to join me with their aims?

the book for anyone curious about it, though i got mine from my local works type bookshop for less than £5 thats less than one weeks ww/sw/etc subs to try it out and its honestly the most sensible weightloss plan ive ever looked at

If any of us are lucky enough to go, maybe we could have a wee mini meet :)

HowToLookGoodGlaikit · 12/01/2011 20:25

Did anyone from this thread get tickets from PMcK himself? Or are we all just hoping to get some tomorrow?

Deafworm · 12/01/2011 20:25

very true kt im very pleased i started this thread now, if i win i have someone in mind to take but if they cant come id be more than happy to take someone off here, see im working on the positivity, off to see if ive won the lottery!!

£99 from his website, £192 when i looked on the apollo site yesterday, both well out of my price range but everything i have heard says if you can afford to then go

OP posts:
Deafworm · 12/01/2011 20:30

the link to his site was in the message saying he was giving them as prizes on the chat

yeah my DH works nights mainly, hes a musician. theres actually a band meeting going on around (and above lol) me in the living room! they are heading out to the pub soon to discuss set lists. going to attempt to have a proper dinner, although it might be tricky as i have little in the house other than tinned spag bol on toast....nope ive run out of bread....

HowToLookGoodGlaikit · 12/01/2011 20:32

£99 with travel from Scotland is just way out of my budget :(

ktwiltshire · 12/01/2011 20:32

£99 or £192 is way out of my price range. will keep my fingers crossed for the hat...might try visualising it tonight....cosmic ordering??

ktwiltshire · 12/01/2011 20:33

can't find that message with the link...what page is it on?

Deafworm · 12/01/2011 20:33

i know the feeling how to, im in north yorkshire

ktwiltshire · 12/01/2011 20:34

Deafworm · 12/01/2011 20:34

im so desperate to weigh in now, saturday is sooooo far away!

OP posts:
ktwiltshire · 12/01/2011 20:37

even if 3 of us go in together its still £66 each...wish it was less. wonder how full it would be

ktwiltshire · 12/01/2011 20:37

i know, i (from my history and current eating disorder) have a terribly habbit of weighing daily, im hoping to reduce that as the anxiety around it fades

Deafworm · 12/01/2011 20:38

ive been looking at them for the last couple of years kt, i reckon this time next year i may beable to do it but at the same time im determined to have the weight off by then!

OP posts:
HowToLookGoodGlaikit · 12/01/2011 20:39

I am ok with not weighing, surprisingly!

Deafworm · 12/01/2011 20:39

you can do it kt, have you got the book? im finding 'behaving' easier for it as there is only space to weigh in on the right days so im being a bit ocd about putting things in the right places, hmm replacing overeating with ocd? who am i kidding ive always been like that with books!

OP posts:
ktwiltshire · 12/01/2011 20:40

me too! i hope in a years time i will be at least well on my way to where i want to be, its only 3 dress sizes but it means the world to me! and my wardrobe would love it!

ktwiltshire · 12/01/2011 20:41

yeah im a bit OCD, that comes with eating disorders i spose (start at 8 now 25...i dont remember eating any sensible way). i havent got the book, i downloaded the CDs ive listened to the naturally slim people tracks, but havent had a chance to yet, would do it now but im sure DH and other band members would rip it out of me if i put it on now!

Deafworm · 12/01/2011 20:44

im reckoning on a stone every 2 months would have me at target which doesnt seem to hard to achieve, also serious motivation, dh will be away for 4 months in the middle of the year so losing 2 stone in that period would be great! then going to my first (apart from my own) wedding in november so plenty of motivation and then nice party clothes next christmas as i meet up with the friends i dont see often! i will do it this year

Gutted I didn't ask a better question and get tickets now! Oh well will have to hope my name gets pulled out of the hat...never win anything though!
Had an ok day today, still keep picking at things when I'm not hungry though, really annoyed with myself. Plus I conked out at the first few mins listening to the CD last night, woke at the end, very disorientated!
Is everyone still leaving food at the end of every meal? I find I am with most, but not all, or if I am it's cause I am forcing myself to - just couldn't leave some of my kitkat today though, just felt like such a waste!
