Hi all

I wondered if anyone else was planning to follow Paul mckenna this year and lose their weight?

im currently 16st13 and intend to end the year a fit toned 10st. im a bit hit and miss with following the golden rules but when i do i have seen results so from today i will follow it and get the results i want.

as well as the weight loss with paul mckenna i intend to

Beardo the just dance 2 fitness thing every day till my husband (RAF) flies out to the middle east around april

Bear do the couch to 5k plan and run race for life this year

Bearstart the 30 day shred when dh goes away and repeat it till he comes home (approx 4 months)

I also have one of those magic leg trainers coming on home approval so will have a play with that and see if its worth keping, apart from that i will reassess my fitness in august when he gets home and come to some decisions on how to go forward with that then but for now these seem like reasonable goals, especially when they're on top of really following the golden rules.

so anyone else following 'the rules' this year and going to join me with their aims?

the book for anyone curious about it, though i got mine from my local works type bookshop for less than £5 thats less than one weeks ww/sw/etc subs to try it out and its honestly the most sensible weightloss plan ive ever looked at

missmake, its ok to conk out, Paul himself said so tonight. I always zone out or falla sleep at some point during it. Though one time, I managed to count back all the way to zero a good few minutes before the end of the CD Shock

ktwiltshire · 12/01/2011 20:46

i left a corner of my toast at lunch today (and marmite)...thts a first for me, and also ate it consciously.

HowToLookGoodGlaikit · 12/01/2011 20:48

lol KT, id have no problem leaving marmite on my plate!

ktwiltshire · 12/01/2011 20:50

i LOVE marmite, well i feel oddly satisfied after eating it, used to have lots of marmite sandwiches when i was a kid

i will have a look, ive only got a tiny local bookshop and a waterstones. will see if play.com have it cheap

Deafworm · 12/01/2011 20:52

i do with some meals but not all, today i had christmas cake and crisps for breakfast (yeah i know but they were literally all i could manage to get myself after falling, dh came home in time for lunch!) half a sausage and bacon baguette but only dished up half so ate it all and then a few bites of pizza half a dozen chips and a spoonful of beans for tea, loads more on the plate but just didnt want it

you can usually find it in works/discount type bookshops otherwise its about £7 on amazon, i looked at it that thats about the price of 1-2 weeks of ww,sw etc etc so well worth it

OP posts:
HowToLookGoodGlaikit · 12/01/2011 20:55

HowToLookGoodGlaikit · 12/01/2011 20:55

Deafworm · 12/01/2011 20:56

HowToLookGoodGlaikit · 12/01/2011 20:57

The Play.com version is the basic book & the CD

the Amamzon one is teh basic book, the journal, the CD and a DVD plus a month mebership to the official forum

ktwiltshire · 12/01/2011 20:58

theres a 6.99 copy from a user...

Deafworm · 12/01/2011 20:58

i havent watched the dvd my dvd player wasnt working when i got it, does the play one have the journal in, if not its not the updated book and not as good, i have had both and the old one is good but the new one is miles better

OP posts:
HowToLookGoodGlaikit · 12/01/2011 20:58

I downloaded the DVD but tbh have never watched it! The CD & journal are enough for me.

ktwiltshire · 12/01/2011 20:58

ooh im registerd on his weight loss site, but cant afford membership

Deafworm · 12/01/2011 20:59

the journal is built into the new book howto, i think if it doesnt have the journal in then it isnt the new book

OP posts:
HowToLookGoodGlaikit · 12/01/2011 20:59

Deafworm - I have the old journal and the old basic book - shoudl I invest in the new one?

ktwiltshire · 12/01/2011 21:01

ok going to put the DVD onto download...commpeltely legally of course

Deafworm · 12/01/2011 21:03

ooh i dont know then, depends how easy you find the old book to read and how concerned you are about self sabotage? those are the major benefits in my mind, much easier to read and a section on self sabotage made it worth the money to me but self sabotage is a big issue for me, i never got this far before the new one

OP posts:
ktwiltshire · 12/01/2011 21:05

self sabotage is a big problem for me, can never quite understand why things are going right and end up self sabotaging
