Weightwatchers ProPoints Plan

1000 replies

squashedfrogs · 08/11/2010 22:14

I've been following WW online for a few years on and off and today my account has changed to the new ProPoints plan. I haven't yet looked into this properly but was wondering if anyone else knew much about it?

I know there is another thread where someone (sorry can't remember who) was testing the new plan, has it been easy to follow & does it work?

Yes that 55.5 lbs is all in one week since last Sunday! We are Fab!!

I went out for lunch today and had a greek salad - dont like olives and it was light on the feta cheese, so was ok. Then out for tea to Frankie and Bennys - had no starter, then chicken sandwich with fries, which was a chicken breast and a bun and chips - only ate half the bun! Had cheesecake for afters. I am banking on having eaten all my 49 weekly points today as well as my daily 29, so will have to be careful fo rht rest of the week until wednesday. Was worth it though! Grin

I too am struggling in the 'number two' department!
Perhaps it is all the healthy food I am eating and my body is not used to it!!

BigTillyMint - hope you managed to resist those cakes - I am sure that I wouldnt be able to, but then you have to be quick around here as I am in an office full of men!

Watching Children in Need at the moment and feeling rather stuffed! Here's to a good weekend to all! Lets keep.up the good work/

gingernutlover · 20/11/2010 06:54

chebbs - I am an inch taller and a stone heavier than you and I get 29 daily points (plus the 49 optional weekly ones) so you would probably be the same as 29 is the lowest points anyone gets. Unless you are a lot younger than me, then you might get more.

I would need your age, wieght, height and gender to work it out on my ww calculator.

NormaSknockers · 20/11/2010 08:21

Morning all,

justabout did you enjoy it though? It's hard to get into the frame of mind where it's ok to have a meal out and not feel guilty or wish you hadn't isn't it?

androb mmmmm at the cheesecake, it's always worth it for cheesecake Grin

chebbs agree with ginger in that you're most likely on 29.

Dinner was lovely last night, my lovely friend did indeed bring a delicious WW pud so I only dipped into my weekly allowance by 5 PPs. Plenty left for a treat tonight, chocolate me thinks Grin

Furball · 20/11/2010 08:26

I made cakes yesterday for a school event today. My ds is ill so couldn't lick the bowl..........I just didn't have the will power to leave it...... a tough decision!

:( justabout I'll bet, not a pleasent end.

furball it's ok, there's no calories in cake mix, proven fact Wink

chebbs · 20/11/2010 09:34

Gingernutlover-Hi thanks for that! Im female, 38yrs. 5ft4 and weight 11stone 4. I guessed i might be on the 29 points so thats great thanks :-)

froot · 20/11/2010 09:43

Just checking in from my weekend away in Brighton . Getting lots of exercise (shopping, dancing) but probably I suspect not enough to offset the eating. How many pp's do you think there are in a 9 (!!!!!!) course meal with accompanying wines ? Aaaargh......

NormaSknockers · 20/11/2010 09:55

Erm......maybe don't eat for the next 2 days froot Wink Did you enjoy it though?

collision · 20/11/2010 10:08

DH is baking, baking I tell you, French baguettes from scratch!

I am hoping it will all be gone if I stay in bed.

froot · 20/11/2010 11:08

It was heaven on nine plates . Graze restaurant in hove . Weigh in on Monday - six hours on the treadmill tomorrow methinks ! I will start with renewed vigour when I get back tomorrow . This gourmet weekend was planned in may so long before I went back to ww . I hope if I am Really Really good I will be back on track quickly !

bintofbohemia · 20/11/2010 12:07

Bollocks. Went a bit off plan on Monday (ate a lot of ryvitas and houmous so not even in a rock and roll way) and have been virtuous since Tuesday (my weigh in day) and looks like I have put on 3lbs! FFS! I suppose I have 3 days to turn it around before official weigh day. THat'll teach me to peek. Arse.

NormaSknockers · 20/11/2010 14:29

froot it sounds lovely, well worth going off track for!

bint don't panic, you have 3 days and I bet by weigh in you'll be a totally different weight. I've had that before where I've done a sneaky weigh in mid week and seen a gain of a few lbs but then by official weigh in I'd lost 2lbs - I guess I just had water retention that day or something?!

Right, best don my pinny as promised DD we'd bake some gingerbread men Grin

RiojaLover75 · 20/11/2010 14:45

Usual family trip to town on Saturday always involves McDonalds for lunch for us.......

What did I have??!! A salad! Stomach is rumbling a bit now though! I feel really in control today Grin.

Having roast lamb tonight, no potatoes or yorkshires for me though, just loads of veg, some meat and a dribble of onion gravy. Not pointed it all yet but am sure it'll be fairly low.

Furball · 20/11/2010 15:43

rioja - I asked for a salad in Burger King once. They were so flumoxed they couldn't find the key on the till for it Grin

I think I can proudly say, I was the first person ever to have asked for one!!

NormaSknockers · 20/11/2010 16:32

MMmmmm Mmmmmmm the gingerbread men are all made and flipping lovely, plus only 4PP each and they're not tiny Grin

Well done Rioja - way to go you Grin

RiojaLover75 · 20/11/2010 16:42

Thanks Normas, after the excesses of last weekend I'm well on the ball now! Hopefully this week I can contribute to the group weight loss Grin.

I can already sit comfortably with my belt tightened to the next hole, here's hoping for a loss this Weds.

Very confused about the points for the salad though, checked on McD website and calculated points online 17ppts! FFS! I had probably about a tablespoon of caesar dressing and there was so little chicken on the salad there'd no way it should be that high Shock.

NormaSknockers · 20/11/2010 17:13

Which salad was it Rioja? According to my Eat Out guide the highest pointed salad is Crispy Chicken & Bacon (no dressing) 9 PPs, 197 PPs can't be right that's nearly as many as my Cheese quarter pounder & chips was (that was 22 PPs!)

Furball · 20/11/2010 17:29

norma - 197? Grin - sounds more like froots weekend

RiojaLover75 · 20/11/2010 17:43

T'was a chicken and bacon salad. Normas you are right 9 ppts in the eat out guide! I took the values from the McDonalds website to calculate on the online tracker.... perhaps the tracker is faulty!

DH's roast was lovely! 100g roast lamb, 2 mini yorkshires, 1/4 pot onion gravy and masses of veg! 9ppts by my calcs! Yummy Grin

NormaSknockers · 20/11/2010 18:02

I've just done the same thing with the McDonalds info and it came up 9 Confused

Your dinner sounds lovely Envy MrNorma is at work, the DC are settled in bed and I have no idea what I want to eat but I'm starving Hmm

RiojaLover75 · 20/11/2010 18:11

Eat some fruit while you decide what to have for dinner.....

What have you got in the fridge / cupboards for dinner??? Soup?

NormaSknockers · 20/11/2010 18:50

Made myself a stir fry with some fine egg noodles, peppers, beansprouts, bacon, an egg and some sweet chilli sauce - it wasn't all that nice and so not worth the points :(

Oh well, plenty of weekly points left so think I'll have some low fat vanilla ice cream with some crumbled honey comb Grin

collision · 20/11/2010 18:52

No comments that MrCollision was baking fromscratch a FRENCH BAGUETTE!!!!!

The points are uncalculatable!
