Weightwatchers ProPoints Plan

1000 replies

squashedfrogs · 08/11/2010 22:14

I've been following WW online for a few years on and off and today my account has changed to the new ProPoints plan. I haven't yet looked into this properly but was wondering if anyone else knew much about it?

I know there is another thread where someone (sorry can't remember who) was testing the new plan, has it been easy to follow & does it work?

Furball · 18/11/2010 20:38

Which is better - there is only one way to find out.......

Furball · 18/11/2010 20:39

Also the Chocolate cheescake one is 9 points!
very worth it...

androbbob · 18/11/2010 20:53

I quite often use the Tesco website to check nutritional info so I can calc points - its great!

There are some fab weightlosses going on here!

I have just done a quick spreadsheet and between 19 of us (so far) we have lost 55.5 lbs between us - that is an average of 2.9lb each! So well done all! I will track this for us if you like and post weekly so we can easily see where we are all upto.

NormaSknockers · 18/11/2010 21:08

Tesco website's fab for that, anything that doesn't show on the online tracker I just check the Tesco site Grin

Out of the choice of a jacket spud or a gu choccy pud I know which I'd prefer Wink

WOW - 55.5lbs that's incredible, go us!!

cupcakesandbunting · 18/11/2010 21:51

I just ate a Crunchie in temper. Now I feel sick :(

thighsmadeofcheddar · 18/11/2010 21:54

God that's a fab total loss. Well done everyone!

InLoveWithDavidTennant · 18/11/2010 22:54

Wow that is a fantastic weightloss! Well done everyone.

Um NormaS The sugar and water thing.. Does that really work? I dont think I go as regular as I should Blush Even all the fruit im eating isnt making a difference.

Would probably help my weightloss too Wink

NormaSknockers · 19/11/2010 07:20

Morning all,

InLove it's worked for me in the past, has to be brown sugar though Wink

cupcakes why did you eat it in temper?

SweetnessAndShite · 19/11/2010 07:58

Morning! Can't believe the 55.5 lbs! That's 4 stone! That's like losing my 5.5 yr old DS. (tempting sometimes)

thighsmadeofcheddar · 19/11/2010 09:23

Morning all,

Feeling quite motivated today (still a massive hungry bear though, I'm just learning to live with it!)

B: Fruit and Fibre
L: Small WW pizza and salad
D: Turkey burgers (again!)

S: fruit, bar and VODKA!

We have a friend for dinner tomorrow night and I'm struggling to think what to cook. I could do fish as then it won't be too bad. But I would want it with creamy potatoes. Sigh!

NormaSknockers · 19/11/2010 09:35

thighs my friend's coming round for dinner tonight and I'm cooking up some linguni with some philadelphia light and some crispy bacon. Just toss it all into the cooked pasta, I've worked it out as 10 points for a fairly decent sized portion. Maybe something like that?

Brekfast has so far been some strawberries and raspberries whizzed up with a dollop of low fat ice cream. It was ok, not great though. On the hunt for something else now....

Furball · 19/11/2010 09:47

I'm doing a beef stew in the slow cooker with swede, onion, carrots....will serve with brocolli and mashed cauliflower but give everyone else mashed potatos.

harverina · 19/11/2010 10:24

androbbob, 55.5lbs?! Thats amazing. It really is working then! Fingers crossed for a good weight loss next week too.

thighs, I have still been enjoying creamy msh by putting a tablespoon of low fat creme fraiche in it (1 point per table spoon) The trick is to mash your potatoe really well then add the creme fraiche and stir really well to make it lovely and creamy.

I am struggling a bit. Went over my points yesterday...I had a roll for lunch and it was 5 points for the roll alone and I was still quite hungry afterwards so thats where I went wrong. Have had 10 points already so going to have soup for lunch...nearly said 0 point soup but have to count the stock cubes now Angry!

My DD hasnt been well over the past couple of days so we have been stuck in and all I think about is food and what I can eat next! Will maybe try and get out for a walk today.

Hope you are all well Smile

vnmum · 19/11/2010 10:53

hi, thanks for the birthday wishes Smile. well i had my treats set up last night, the choc muffin was nice but i could only eat 1/2 tub on phish food before it was too sickly so gave rest to DH. I would have eaten the whole tub easily a few months ago. It was only 16pp for 1/2 tub aswell which i didn't think was too bad for full fat version.

today i didn't have my usual porridge before the school run so made a mozzarella and mushroom 2 egg omelette when i got in instead and it was the same pp as my porridge and milk.

I have put a sausage casserole in the slow cooker for tonight and i can even have 3 full fat sausages, yay!! i will try the creme fraiche in my mash too as i normally have just plain mash dished out before DH adds butter and milk.

Is the 55.5lb loss all in one week? If so thats great. Any leader would be proud of our group loss Grin

Lucky2010 · 19/11/2010 12:19

androbobb Thanks for doing the spreadsheet. You sound like my kinda gal Grin.

I've sent DH to Tescos for Sennakot. Enough is enough!

SweetnessAndShite · 19/11/2010 13:58

thighs - The issue of stock cubes came up at my meeting this week. My leader said that because we are now using the rounding up/down method instead of half points it's most likely you won't have to count stockcubes since you will only tend to use 1 per 3-4 servings. So for example if your 0 point soup contains 1 stock cube but makes 4 servings this equates to 0.25 PP per portion which rounds down to 0. If you ate more than 2 portions in a day however you would need to count it as it would then round up to the 1.

Not sure if I've explained that very well but hope it helps.

Heeeeeeelllllppppppp!!!!

My friend made cakes and they are calling me to the kitchen.

Help me stay strong!

thighsmadeofcheddar · 19/11/2010 14:20

Quick BigTilly, go brush your teeth! That will stop you.

Also I found this nice fish recipe for only 7PPs

here

NormaSknockers · 19/11/2010 14:35

Afternoon all,

vnmum that's fab about the Phish Food, I never would have thought it would have been as few as that Just double check your sausages for points as I had the shock of my life yesterday when I made my sausage casserole at how many points the sausages were Blush

Sweetness that's handy to know about the stock cubes and makes sense - fab stuff!

bigTillyMint got something low point you can eat? Have a cup of tea? Brush your teeth? Chew gum? Go for a walk? Or chuck them in the bin?

Food is good so far today;

Strawberries & raspberries whizzed with some low fat ice cream.
30g cereal with a splash of milk. (5 PPs)

1 half of a bread roll toasted, spread with Philadelphia light and topped with roasted peppers and onions.
Low fat cadbury mousse. (6 PPs)

Dinner will be 10 PPs and I think my friend is bring some pud (she's really sweet about my WW so no doubt she'll bring something WW friendly) Grin

bigTillyMint · 19/11/2010 15:18

I'm at work, and I haven't got my toothbrush Grin I would be lynched if I chucked them in the bin!

Got a can of diet coke though!

vnmum · 19/11/2010 15:19

Norma I checked my sausages off the label and they are 4pp each, but i've had 0pp soup for lunch and have used a couple of my weekly points for it as I don't have it that often now i'm dieting. Sad

chebbs · 19/11/2010 16:03

Hi can anyone tell me how many daily pro points i can have?IM 5ft 4 and 11st. 4. I need to lose 2 stone but unable to get to a meeting Thanks :-)
