Weightwatchers ProPoints Plan

1000 replies

squashedfrogs · 08/11/2010 22:14

I've been following WW online for a few years on and off and today my account has changed to the new ProPoints plan. I haven't yet looked into this properly but was wondering if anyone else knew much about it?

I know there is another thread where someone (sorry can't remember who) was testing the new plan, has it been easy to follow & does it work?

OP posts:
Amanderrr · 17/11/2010 13:33

Don't worry Norma. If I'd just been told I'd lost 6lbs the last thing on my mind would be someone elses rhubarb in juice or syrup fixation! Grin

"I barely managed 12PPs yesterday" How? HOW? I've had 10PPs already and it's only 1.30pm.

vnmum · 17/11/2010 13:33

Norma yes i know stock cubes are 1 point each but oxo ones actually come out as 0 pp, online anyway. Plus the soup will do about 3 or 4 servings so i wouldn't bother counting them anyway.

vnmum · 17/11/2010 13:36

oh and Thighs i have had the shred dvd for a while and have started it 3 times including my restart on monday. the furthest i got was 10 days then i got pneumonia so couldn't carry on but i was looking tighter and firmer after just 10 days. it is a killer though, i did it monday and i am having to slowly ease myself onto loo as my legs are killing me,lol Grin

thighsmadeofcheddar · 17/11/2010 13:43

Thanks all

God Amanderrr I just looked at your link. I think I might start with Davina first, build up a bit of stamina. Eek!

NormaSknockers · 17/11/2010 13:58

PMSL Amanderrr at the image of you trying to do a shred move and getting lept on by the dogs Grin You're much better then me, I would just drain and rinse the fruit then eat anyway ignoring the fact it might contain points Grin I only struggled to eat yesterday as I still felt crappy, I've managed mash for breakfast and a bacon sarnie for lunch today though Wink

vnmum Bum, I always use Knorr and they all carry a point. Wonder why the Oxo ones come up as 0? Our leader said all stock was now a PP, though how/why I don't know, it's liquid for goodness sake Grin

A lovely lady I know on MN elsewhere does the Shred, she's so dedicated to it, I'm too lazy to look it up let alone actually do it!

SweetnessAndShite · 17/11/2010 14:56

Wow Norma well done on your amazing loss. cupcakes and thighs too. Grin

Looks like it's working so far. I have WI tomorrow morning and am quite excited to see what my result is. I've only used 12 wkly PPs so far but have eaten almost all my daily ones every day.

Amanderrr Don't know if this helps but I buy frozen rhubarb which is good. I get it from Asda and it's 2 x 500g for £3.

NormaSknockers · 17/11/2010 15:01

Good luck for tomorrow Sweetness, let us know how you get on.

The downside to losing 6lbs is I've now dropped a daily PP Grin

thighsmadeofcheddar · 17/11/2010 15:06

Sorry Norma, I missed your MASSIVE loss. Well done!

NormaSknockers · 17/11/2010 15:23

Thank you Grin Blush

androbbob · 17/11/2010 15:49

Well got weighed at lunch and lost 4lbs! so pleased! Will try as hard this week and see what happens, got two meals out on fri now so planning salad for lunch. Thanks amanderrr for frankie and benny pps will work out what ti
o have before i go. well done on other losses i think some others are due to class tonight.

NormaSknockers · 17/11/2010 15:57

Yay well done androbbob Grin

vnmum · 17/11/2010 16:34

that's great androbbob.

Talking of frozen fruit (sweetness), tesco have frozen berries on 3 for £5, you can choose from blueberries and strawberries, raspberries or summer fruits

Norma i have pointed the oxo cubes with my calculator and cube is 0pp but 2 cubes are 1pp.

Lucky2010 · 17/11/2010 16:59

At work today. Out for dinner tonight at a friend's so planning to use bonus pts but will guess how many pps everything is as she's not the sort of friend I can ask, IYSWIM (she's always been skinny and doesn't ever have to diet Envy). Going to the gym after work in a bit.
I have eaten fruit all day to feel full and have energy for the gym. Caved in and had a granola bar (both bars 5 pps) and had lentil soup for lunch (6pps).

I feel like all this fruit is fermenting in my stomach. I wouldn't fancy being behind me on the treadmill Blush.

Well done on all the weight losses.

Keep up the good work everyone.

NormaSknockers · 17/11/2010 17:19

According to the online tracker they're 0PPs too, damn I really do like my Knorr ones but have to trade Grin

Lucky Grin at not being behind you on the treadmill! Hope your dinner goes ok, shame you can't ask her but well done for the low pointed day, not easy is it?

collision · 17/11/2010 20:49

OMG!!! I lost 5 lbs at WW tonight!! Grin

Grin

Am so chuffed with myself. Now have a weight loss of 22 lbs. My leader was v proud of me!

NormaSknockers · 17/11/2010 21:04

Well done collision, fab weight loss Grin

androbbob · 17/11/2010 21:33

Yeah another great weightloss on this thread - it must be such a lucky one!

Going to plan the next few days later tonight so I can keep on track. I reckon tracking it all is the key to success!

RiojaLover75 · 17/11/2010 22:12

Arse! Well, I paid for my weekend of birthday excess with a 1.5lb gain Sad. Going to have to have a super strict week and weekend to get that off again.

InLoveWithDavidTennant · 17/11/2010 22:32

So Pineapple!!! Yes I know im bringing it up (again) but someone told me on my blog that supermarket "fresh" packaged fruit tends to have sugar/sweeteners added to it to make it sweeter.

cupcakesandbunting Congrats on the 3lb loss

Amanderrr 6 slices of bread? Maybe you should try the wheat/gluten free stuff to see if that will make a difference. Lower points/quicker loss that kind of thing.

Funny quote of the day -> "Tomatoes on toast isn't the same without the toast. Nor is egg and toast"

NormaSknockers 6lbs is absolutely bloody fantastic! Sod the being ill excuse, well done you Wink

Crumpets... 2 for 5 bloody points. How rude! I love crumpets and thats cheating!!

Furball Welcome to the madness of working out points of things Smile

thighsmadeofcheddar Congrats on losing 4lbs

It would be interesting to add up what we've all lost together at the end of the month.

androbbob Congrats on your 4lb loss.

collision Congrats on the 5lb loss.

Wow we really are doing fab!

RiojaLover75 Dont beat yourself up over gaining. Its a new week with a new start now. Put it behind you and look ahead.

Off to investigate what shread is > Blush

My pasta salad was yummy. It works out at 13 points a portion (eek!) but it does fill me up for 5-6 hours so im going with it Grin just need to tweek the way I make it next time.

harverina · 17/11/2010 22:34

Yippee lost 4lbs! Over the moon Grin

Well done collision, you are doing fab!

Well done to everyone else on their losses...it seems to be working!

InLoveWithDavidTennant · 17/11/2010 22:59

harverina Congratulations Smile

Wow we are doing fab! Im so pleased.

Virtual friends... I am proud of you! Grin

Anyhoo. Off to bed. The screen is going squiffy cause im so tired.

SweetnessAndShite · 17/11/2010 23:04

Well done collision and harverina . More great losses.

Rioja You only get one birthday a year (unless you ate The Queen, of course!) Don't dwell on the excesses, remember the fun you had celebrating and start afresh today.

I have enjoyed the plan this week and haven't found it hard at all. However, I don't think I look any different and not sure if have lost weight. Will find out tomorrow so wish me luck!

SweetnessAndShite · 17/11/2010 23:05

Ate the Queen?!! Bahahahahaha! I wonder how many PPs she would work out as...

Of course I meant "unless you are The Queen")

LeeWT · 18/11/2010 00:22

Hi all

well done on the trojan weight loss everyone!!

I went to WI tonight and had lost 1lb. I was raging!!! Despite a nasty chest infection and cold and no sleep I was really dedicated and all I lost was one lousy pound.. I didhave Chinese two nights but I got veg chow mein so shouldn't have been that bad.
The leader of our class is crap and she just muttered that it was because I was sick.. Bla bla..

I don't think I'd be able for shred yet as I only had my csection 7 weeks ago but I downloaded these DVDs called walk away the pounds or walk at home something like that. Anyway it's a workout where you walk 4 miles but it's kind of on the spot using four basic movements, very popular in the US I hear and I thought i could even hold my baby while doing it if he was fussing.. Will let u know how I get on.

Can anyone tell me how Many pps veg or chicken chow mein is? Also chips from chipper or Chinese? Thanks so much and game on girls!

Furball · 18/11/2010 06:47

LeeWT - you need to read this poem

Hello, do you know me?
If you don't you should. I'm a pound of fat, and I'm the happiest pound of fat that you would ever want to meet.
Want to know why? It's because no one ever wants to lose me;
I'm Only One Pound, just a pound.
Everyone wants to lose three pounds, five pounds or fifteen pounds, but never only one,
so I just stick around and happily keep you fat.
Then I add to myself ever so slyly so that you never seem to notice it, that is until I've grown to ten, twenty or even more pounds in weight.
Yes, it's fun being Only One Pound of fat, left to do as I please.
So, when you weigh in, keep right on saying "Oh, I only lost one pound."
( as if that were such a terrible thing!)
For you see, if you do this you'll encourage others to keep me around because they will think I'm not worth losing.
And I love being around you -
your arms, your legs, your chin, your hips and every part of you.
Happy Days!! After all, I'm Only One Pound of fat!!!
