Right I need some moral support as I fancy giving this a go to lose weight. Anyone else fancy joining in?

Don't do weighing myself just want to tone up mainly. Weighing myself just depresses me. I do two classes a week at gym one body conditioning and one LBT. Just need some more cardio without going to the gym - otherwise I have to spend 1.5 hour in total for 1 hour work out, at least can run from front door step.

Oh well done, me too (sorry I forgot to post)

My next week is run 1.5 walk 2, does that match with yours? Just 8 more weeks til we can run 5k Grin

Hi everyone.
Downloaded the app and did my first run this evening. Suprised at how running outdoors is so much harder than on a treadmill.

I've started this in the hope it'll help me quit smoking and maybe help to shift the cellulite than has been creeping up on me since I turned 30!

AngryPixie · 11/08/2010 09:36

Oh well done ACK, I am doing all the early ones on the treadmill to try & get a constant pace & a feel for it, I'll go onto the road from week 3 or 4.

Loujalou · 11/08/2010 09:59

I even went for a run in the rain. Oh well it did stop half way through and I felt better for the run.

Accidental welcome!

Am going for run number 2 tonight.

I went to the gym last night, it took me 9 mins to run 1km!! By that reckoning it'll take 45 mins to do 5km Shock

It's early days though...

Loujalou · 12/08/2010 15:16

Am going for a run in an hour. It will be week 2 day 1. Help!!!

OP posts:
AngryPixie · 13/08/2010 19:04

How did it go Loujalou? I ran week 2 day 1 today, it felt surprisingly easy, perhaps because it was only 6 running periods rather than 8. Will try for day 2 on Sunday.

Loujalou · 13/08/2010 21:13

Where I live is quite hilly (though I avoid the bad ones) it does make it harder. I really struggled in the middle but it got a bit better towards the end.

I'm off to do week 2 run 2, wish me luck!

Loujalou · 15/08/2010 08:52

Good luck. Mine felt a lot better. Can't believe I have one more run and week 2 will be over.

OP posts:
AngryPixie · 15/08/2010 14:23

WOW today's run was great!

Am going to try for run 3 on Tuesday and begin week 3 on Friday morning. Am off to '80's Rewind' on Friday afternoon for a weekend of much dancing, beer, burgers from vans and no running Grin

Loujalou · 17/08/2010 19:19

Week 2 done.

Am very jealous Pixie. Have fun.

AngryPixie · 18/08/2010 10:39

Finished week 2 this morning, and it was the first run that I really did not want to do, I very nearly managed to talk myself out of it, and I think I only actually did it because you posted that you had done yours Loujalou. As a result I found it quite tough, but it's done.

I think my fitness campaigns usually falter about 2 weeks in but I think having this thread to post on was a real motivator.

Will try & squeeze another in before my weekend of debauchery, but week 3 looks like quite a jump! Let me know how you get on.

Loujalou · 18/08/2010 10:47

Am going to do mine tomorrow.

I have really found this thread has helped. Please carry on and don't leave me Wink

I am not feeling any benefits for it yet but am going to carry on.....

Week 3 day 1 done!

OP posts:
janajos · 20/08/2010 09:18

Think I might try this too... can I join you? Might have to wait a week though as I've just stopped bf (he's 14 months!!) and my boobs are really sore.....

Loujalou · 20/08/2010 09:28

Of course you can join us Janajos. I stopped bf at the same time and was lucky as it was quite gradual I didn't have any pain. Still got humungous boobs though - but they were there before DS!

OP posts:
Loujalou · 23/08/2010 14:02

Its a bit empty in her. Pixie how was re-wind?

Have only got one more run on week 3. Week 4 looks scary. Oh well. Might even invest in a pair of running shoes.

Janajos you still thinking about it? I am having lots of fun - kinda so give it a go.

AngryPixie · 23/08/2010 22:21

Just back, rewind was amazing!!!!!! It was a real tardis trip! Drank my own bodyweight in Pimms every day, ate rubbish but danced and danced and danced!

I am almost a week behind you, well done on so many runs, but will attempt for week 3 run 1 tomorrow.

when are you planning your first run Janajos?

Loujalou · 24/08/2010 19:52
