Hello all, didn't want us to get to the end of the first thread without a link to a sequel. Looking forward to seeing where we all get to in the life span of this thread.

Very jealous of the folks approaching goal! I am another long hauler. But down to 97.2 this morning which my massive spreadsheet says is 42.57% of the way there. I have a little updating pie chart too - looking forward to getting halfway there.

I still haven’t told anyone irl. Not ashamed, but DH is very anxious about side effects as he had a life changing reaction to some medication a few years ago. He doesn’t like having even otc stuff like paracetamol in the house now although he is aware that I will dose the kids when necessary. But if he knows it is happening right now he will be stressed and drive us all nuts checking in every five minutes, so ignorance is better. I would rather not have people in on a secret so easier to tell no one iyswim. I am envious of those who can store pens in the fridge and can discuss with their family members!

But weight is slowly creeping down, BP is great, I’m loving exercising. Clothes are feeling loose which is nice in the heat. Trying to put off shopping for as long as possible. Partly because I BELIEVE I will continue to lose, and partly because I hate shopping!

MoneyJo · 19/07/2026 09:32

Well done @SmallTreeDeepRoots I haven't got to your point of loving exercise yet!

Bit frustrating - between my last two weigh days (Fridays) I lost 2lb, which is great, and that's what I log. But actually I haven't lost anything since last Sunday, despite keeping calories down and water up.

In fact I weighed myself this morning, went to the loo and weighed myself again and I had gained .4 of a pound!

Yes well done @SmallTreeDeepRoots, I am exercising consistently and definitely feeling the benefits, but I am still at the stage of having to force myself to do it!
@MoneyJo I have had some weird scale readings too, especially around jab day. Not sure if that is a coincidence, but I'm sure someone else mentioned the same. I now only weigh once a week, always between jabs.

MoneyJo · 19/07/2026 11:04

I hadn't thought of switching my weigh day but maybe I should. Interesting.

SmallTreeDeepRoots · 19/07/2026 12:07

@MoneyJo I try to weigh everyday to keep myself on track but I only log once a week. I jab Weds evening and was weighing on Thursday morning, but after reading another thread I switched my official weigh in to Saturday morning which seems to give me a more stable result for my chart. I don’t understand why, but it works for me!

MoneyJo · 19/07/2026 16:48

Thanks for this. I weigh daily but just record the day of my jab. I might switch it around.

@MoneyJo I'm over a pound heavier than yesterday which is frustrating. I know it will even itself out over the week but it makes no sense! Daily weighing has it's drawbacks.

What I don't do that I think others do is track it well. I just note each time it goes down, which invariably happens.

I might start tracking every day to see if there is any form of pattern but think that may be a bit obsessive. @ShebaQueen and @SmallTreeDeepRoots did you gain the day after the jab as that may be a pattern for me?

SmallTreeDeepRoots · Yesterday 09:57

@taratill I don’t write the weight down everyday, only on my official weighing day. But I found that Sat am (with Weds Eve jab) was consistently my lowest weight day. I think my peak weight tends to be Tues/Weds as the anti-inflammatory effects of the last jab wears off before the next dose? But weighing every day and looking back 48 hours when I get a spike has been interesting. I seem to get a spike a few days after a cold and also after alcohol. But other spikes too that I haven’t worked out yet. It’s all information. Sometimes I think I’ve eaten too much and not the wisest choices (eating out, hols etc) but it doesn’t seem to have an effect. I’m just trying to learn how my body works.

But to answer your question, I think generally my peak weight is just before next jab is due and lowest weight is 3 days after jab.

taratill · Yesterday 10:11

Thanks @SmallTreeDeepRoots , I'm going to track daily for a couple of weeks to try to see if there are patterns.

What I do know is that I'm feeing much more suppression the day after 5mg than I did after either 2.5 or 3.75 mg. I've struggled to eat my normal breakfast this morning of yoghurt, chia and blueberries and the suppression seems to be increasing week on week at the moment. I never downloaded the shotsy app that someone mentioned upthread but I assume this is because overall levels are increasing.

Despite the fluctuations I'm losing between 1-2lbs per week so I do trust the process.

MoneyJo · Yesterday 10:31

The fluctuations are interesting. I'm 3 days post jab and have somehow gained 2lb despite good steps and carefully tracking all calories this weekend.

I'm ignoring the jump!

OP posts:
ShebaQueen · Yesterday 18:10

Yes I agree @MoneyJo, ignore it!
@taratill yes I found that weighing on jab day or the day after gave inconsistent results that didn't reflect my loss, but weighing 2 days post jab always shows a loss. I have lost every week, except for when I was on holiday and like you say, trust the process. I definitely feel the impact of 5mg even several weeks on

rockstarshoes · Yesterday 21:16

Another pound down on Friday, bringing me to 1 stone 10 pounds down!

slow but consistent! I had a good exercise week last week!

ordered my next pen & gone up to 7.5 but that is weeks away so did my jab of 5 plus 1.5 from the dregs of the last pen!

Fingers crossed!
