Hello all, didn't want us to get to the end of the first thread without a link to a sequel. Looking forward to seeing where we all get to in the life span of this thread.

Thanks @taratill, I had to check twice as could hardly believe it!
Enjoy your bbq, I've found them to be quite easy to manage, if like you say, I stick to the protein options. Ignore the rogue 400g for now, just a blip I'll bet

MoneyJo · 08/08/2026 19:10

Well done @ShebaQueen !

Thanks @MoneyJo, I've found this thread to be a brilliant source of information and encouragement. Also I try not to bore my family and friends by talking about jabs, protein, water etc. but no-one here minds!

Snoringdogsfarting · 10/08/2026 11:10

Morning - I couldn’t track you for ages, only just found thread 2🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️Well done to everyone 👍 I’ve only
lost a few more lbs but that’s ok. My face has aged literally by at least 15 years so last week I had some fillers . Ended up having 7ml overall🤣🤣🤣🤣 Still very wrinkled but it has filled some hollows and I feel better.
I haven’t gone above a 5mg pen and this week I’ve done 45 clicks, so down to 3.75 as I want to come off the injections and do the last bit on my own, but I’m a realist and know I can’t just stop and will probably go back up if I’m honest. I want to lose no more than another half stone and I’ll still weigh more than most people at the start at their journey but it’ll do for me.
Its so blinking hot so at least not longing for giant curries or stew and dumplings 🙂

Snoringdogsfarting · 10/08/2026 11:52

Oh good grief I’m just watching Olivia Attwood episode 6 !!!!!!! Please note I did not have filler in my bits and bobs !!!! 😱😱😱😱

ETPhoneHome1 · 10/08/2026 19:29

I’ve gone up to 6.25 for the next couple of weeks as I’ve stalled a little bit. Hoping this is the max then I can reduce it back down gradually to eventually stop. I only really want to lose 1/2 stone max

MoneyJo · 11/08/2026 06:42

I just hit 16 stone 0 today. I think it must be 20 years since I was last at this weight. The next stone range is in sight! 2 stone 11 down.

SmallTreeDeepRoots · 11/08/2026 07:35

Fab result @MoneyJo ! Wonderful to be on the cusp of a new “bracket”.

ShebaQueen · 11/08/2026 07:40

Amazing @MoneyJo well done! I'm loving reading everyone's success stories.
Glad you found us @Snoringdogsfarting I'll be interested to hear how you get on titrating down. Glad your filler has given you a boost.
@ETPhoneHome1 good luck with your last half a stone, so close now!

taratill · 11/08/2026 09:15

Totally agree about loving the thread (and not boring others with WLI chat) @ShebaQueen

Amazing @MoneyJo ! You've done so well as I know you started before WLI!

@Snoringdogsfarting and @ETPhoneHome1 you're both so close to target which is amazing!

I seem to be having my first mini stall on 5mg. so I'm keeping an eye on the scales for the next week or two and I may have to increase if no downwards movement. Fingers crossed that I won't have to.

Annex · 11/08/2026 20:36

It is amazing to think it has only been 5 months since we started the journey. I had a few weeks staying the same, that included going on holiday and then lost 2kg last week. I haven't got a goal weight in mind, just want to get in the healthy weight category.
Have people set goals that give you room to fluctuate at a healthy weight? For me 72kg gets me into the healthy weight category, am currently at 76kg having lost 18kg since March.

FitHappens · 11/08/2026 22:14

Haven’t checked in with you all for a little while.

SW 15stone 13lbs
CW 12 stone 7lbs
GW 10 stone 3lbs

very close to having lost 3.5 stone now, still got a little way to go yet but looking forward to that. I’m still on 5mg.. and will be for at least the next 6 weeks.

well done to everyone on your losses and NSV!

Dontlletmedownbruce · 12/08/2026 12:31

Well done on the running @SmallTreeDeepRootsi tried it a few times in my life, and each time ended up with a hip issue so I have been doing walks with little bursts of a jog. I still hate it though, I'd love to feel that restlessness people talk of. I'll always crave the lazy alternative.

@Annexi don't have a final goal more a ball park figure. I also go to a weight management clinic and my goal there is in the high 10 stone bracket. I would just love to be size 12, that's what's in my head. I try to focus more on NSVs because I've been through a big weight loss journey twice in my life and when I get hung up on numbers it stresses me and also is too depressing when I gain. I feel like an absolute failure if I'm back over a particular threshold like a new stone bracket and it overwhelms me, I think a different approach suits me better, like oh these jeans feel tight, better work harder for two weeks to get back on track. Specifically, the navy dress i got for my sisters hen party in 2017 is my goal and i refuse to try it on until i think it fits. I nearly burst out of it at the hen cos i gained in the few weeks before and steadily since then. It slipped on when I tried it on in March 2017. Some people are very number motivated, whatever works for you works for you.

Snoringdogsfarting · 12/08/2026 12:47

I don’t really have a goal , just a sort of rough idea as I plan to stop soon even though to most I’ll still be massive . I don’t want to be much more saggy and wrinkly than I already am - since I started on my own and including being on MJ since March I’ve lost a total of 5 1/2 stone and am going to be happy when I get to minus 6 .
Went shopping today and got some lovely individual cakes for visitors but really didn’t even think about getting one for myself yay 🥳 I would’ve got 6 just for me a while back . Also picked up a giant bag of my favourite crisps, thought about the calories and put them back 😁 Long may it last especially now I’ve gone down to 3.75 (45 clicks) as I really don’t want to yoyo yet again.
Well done everyone

Beehivebabe · 12/08/2026 14:07

Hi all,
@MoneyJo well done on your loss this week, so great to be on the next ‘number’ down!
@Annex I keep thinking March was a couple of months ago haha, you are right 5 months! I keep setting mini goals. I wanted to lose 4 stone by my DDs birthday in Sept, so have done that already. Next stone hopefully by beg Oct when we go to Turkey. I have loads to lose so don’t look too much ahead.
@Snoringdogsfarting fab about not getting a cake. I think my brain still wants treats but I have a word with myself and shut it down 😂 plus we socialise with food a lot so in my head that’s enough!
Not weighing this week till tomorrow or Friday so I’ll update then. I have 100% been hungry this week so I’m feeling I may go up a dose soon.

SmallTreeDeepRoots · 12/08/2026 15:38

@Dontlletmedownbruce I am convinced that mj has worked some magic on my re exercise, I have never managed to maintain any exercise longer than the week or so it takes for the novelty to wear off. But here I am exercising more than ever before and being incredibly consistent. I occasionally wondered about ADHD as I have long been an absolute shambles. But right now I have focus and I love it.

I don’t have a concrete goal. Top of healthy BMI would be epic (70kg). But seems a long way off. For now I have mini goals (currently 92kg by 4 September (term time) which is my weight 16 years ago).

MoneyJo · 12/08/2026 16:55

That's really interesting @SmallTreeDeepRoots I have ADHD and don't take meds for it but I have really found that MJ helps me focus.

OP posts:
SmallTreeDeepRoots · 12/08/2026 17:07

@MoneyJo Interesting! Do you have a diagnosis? I don’t have anything other than short internet quizzes and a feeling that I sabotage myself far too much. I’ve enjoyed being less shambolic though.

I forgot to mention a weird nsv. I always sleep on my side and don’t move around once asleep. But the last week or so I have been waking up uncomfortable and trying to shift about to a better position. I realised at 4am last night if was because my hip is no longer cushioned in a sea of lard and (almost!) pokes into the mattress. I have now spent all day running my hands up and down my hips like some 50s starlet and enjoying the smoother curve and (at a few select angles, with effort) almost feeling the bone. Will have to find a new sleeping position!

MoneyJo · 12/08/2026 18:07

That's a funny NSV @SmallTreeDeepRoots !

No formal diagnosis but I'm a send teacher and have supported various students through a diagnosis, plus my own daughter. I did think of starting the process but knew I don't want to go on meds so it didn't seem worth it.

Morning all, it's been a scary couple of days here as we are right by the massive wildfires that have destroyed houses. They now seem to be under control but my dog walking area still has pockets of fires. We were ready to evacuate last night but thankfully it wasn't needed.

Weight wise I've STS this week, first time this has happened on 5mg. I wonder if I'm holding water because of the excessive heat.

I've not been so consistent with steps either, despite purchasing running shoes, because it's been too hot and I've had to prioritise dogs when it's cool enough to be out and about. Fingers crossed it will cool down, as forecast, over the next few days.

Very strange feeling in our area at the moment as we know a family that has lost everything. The community is pulling together with donations but it is absolutely awful.

taratill · 14/08/2026 12:07

Oh and I've also purchased some weights, can anyone recommend a programme / you tuber I can follow?

MoneyJo · 14/08/2026 12:25

@taratill that's so scary for you all. I hope some rain comes soon.

I think it's hard to keep steps up in this heat. I went for a walk at 10pm last night to try and be a bit cooler. I keep thinking I might go for a swim this afternoon but it's so hot I can't be bothered to move.

I'm also interested in suggestions re weights as I have some but haven't done much with them yet.

OP posts:
CatsAreBetterThanPeeps · 14/08/2026 12:37

Goodness the fires are awful, so many in my area too but no homes have been at risk thankfully. DD is a pilot and says the amount of ground on fire at any time is unbelievable.

for weights @taratilli like a free YouTube account called bodyfitbyamy I’ve been doing her videos on there for a decade. Huge back catalogue and you can pick all different types of session.

also in case it’s of use to anyone, I didn’t take a does at all on Saturday, so I’m now 2 weeks since I jabbed. I had planned to split my last dose in 2 as a kind of taper down but decided to just stop and see what happened knowing I had a last 5ml to split in 2 if needed to ease in a bit. Well I feel the same. No idea if the drug is still in my system or if I have just retrained my body and mind but I’m hopeful it’s the latter. I’m the same on scale today but I had pasta last night which always makes me hold water plus it’s so hot. So hoping maybe a small loss but either way it’s encouraging we can go it alone and not turn into dustbins eating up everything in sight.

Beehivebabe · 14/08/2026 13:46

@taratill how awful, I’ve just watched the bbc news, and it’s so scary and devastating. Let’s hope relief is on its way although every rain forecast round here seems to vanish.
@CatsAreBetterThanPeeps thanks for that suggestion, there are a few small weights here which I occasionally pick up but I need to be more consistent.
Another lb off for me which is ok, however my hunger has returned with a vengeance so I ordered a 7.5mg pen for next time with a plan to do around 6.75 first for a bit.

taratill · 14/08/2026 14:59

We desperately need rain. The horrible smokey air has now gone which is a relief. So many sad stories, less than 1/2 a mile away a house burned down and 2 pet cats perished with it. Awful.

Thanks for the recommendation @CatsAreBetterThanPeeps I'll take a look at that.

@Beehivebabe how long have you been on 5mg for? I'm getting hungrier as well as STS this week so I might have to increase. So much for hoping to stay on 5 for as long as possible.
