Hello all, didn't want us to get to the end of the first thread without a link to a sequel. Looking forward to seeing where we all get to in the life span of this thread.

8 inches is amazing @taratill

@taratill 8 inches! Well done. Wish I had done measurements lol. I do have a pair of jeans shorts which got looser and looser to the point I couldn’t wear them. I reckon they would fall down now 😅 great that someone made a lovely comment to you too!

@MoneyJo I agree it’s good to have strategies, life still needs to be enjoyed doesn’t it? I like to order steak and salad or fish. Interestingly we had dinner at friends on Monday night and she did a very rich cream heavy dish, I had such a bad belly after that 😬

well I weighed today and I’ve lost 4lbs after the holiday so I’m 15st 12lbs! Officially lost 4 stone 1lb, can’t quite believe that the scales say 15 something. That weight was my goal for September so need to revise that haha. My app tells me I’ve lost a 5th of me haha where’s that gone?!

Found a house this week which we have offered on, just waiting to see if we’ve got it. Hoping today is celebrations all round!
Hope your renovations are done swiftly @taratill xx

taratill · 31/07/2026 10:00

Thanks!

I'm really glad I did measurements!

@Beehivebabe losing 4lbs since your holiday is amaing!

We've been having work done since the middle of December 😫! Feels never ending at this point. Hoping to be completely done by end September/ October!!!

Fingers crossed that your offer is accepted!

Dontlletmedownbruce · 31/07/2026 10:20

Well done @Beehivebabeand @taratill. Things are going well.

I've kept my consistent 1lb a week pattern so now down 20lbs and feeling very happy although I am on holiday for the next two weeks so we'll see... I still eat some fatty things. I have a biscuit or two or a small bar of chocolate every day. I could really accelerate my loss if I gave them up but I really don't want to. My quantities are so much less everywhere else and i can have a small bit of a treat now without a binge so I am happy with the slow approach

MoneyJo · 31/07/2026 10:22

Well done @Beehivebabe and @Dontlletmedownbruce - not bad since we are only 5 months in. I still have a way to go but I'm hoping that I can give it a year then titrate down a bit.

Junmaro · 31/07/2026 10:34

I am now officially in the 12 stone range! I can’t remember when I was last here, but it’s got to be over 10 years ago!

My new goal is to get to 11st 12Lbs which is a bmi of 25. I think that will probably take till Christmas. But I feel so slim compared to what I was, I’m happy already, everything else is a bonus.

I’ve also realised my low level health anxiety seems to have gone, not worrying so much about how being overweight is affecting my long term health. Still only on 2.5mg.

taratill · 31/07/2026 11:01

@Dontlletmedownbruce slow and steady is good! My vice is still a glass of wine or two! Unfortunately I am not one of the people who has completely lost the taste for alcohol.

@Junmaro it doesn't seem like 5 mins since I met the 'in the 12's' milestone, for me it also felt huge. Well done!

SmallTreeDeepRoots · 01/08/2026 09:12

Official weigh in this morning and I’m down to 95.2 which I’m delighted with. Over 20kg lost which is comfortably over 3 stone. And my imperial weight is in the 14s! ( I will literally take ANY milestone).

I set a mini target of 92kg by 4 September (schools going back) and I’m well on my way.

Beehivebabe · 01/08/2026 12:19

@SmallTreeDeepRoots. Well done!

ShebaQueen · 01/08/2026 12:20

Hello all, congrats on your losses everyone and good luck with the house @Beehivebabe
Another kilo off for me, 17.5 in total, I am so happy, I wasn't sure how this week would go as I've eaten out several times for work and also had a few G&Ts and glasses of rose. I am like you @taratill, I definitely still enjoy alcohol, but I usually limit myself to a couple of drinks at the weekend. Still on 5mg and still battling side effects for the first 48 hours after jabbing, but to be honest it's worth the discomfort.
Enjoy your holiday @Dontlletmedownbruce
Sounds like moving up to 7.5mg has been a good move for you @MoneyJo, I also have a way to go yet, so will be here for a while!
@taratill 8 inches is incredible. My clothes are falling off me now and I'm trying not to buy anything new just yet, but I need to get some work clothes soon. What a great problem to have though!
@Junmaro and @SmallTreeDeepRoots I am sure you'll both hit your targets, my first one is to get out of the obese category for my BMI, I'm on 30.1 at the moment, so will hopefully get there soon.
Hope everyone has a good weekend.

taratill · 01/08/2026 12:25

So close @ShebaQueen! re - clothes I've bought one pair of trousers. I'm going to manage to the end of the summer but come autumn I will definitely need new stuff. I'm hoping to be able to get away from the black that I always wore because I thought it was 'slimming'!

@SmallTreeDeepRoots 3 stone loss is amazing!

Last night I was horribly sick. I've been craving bread the last few days and have given in, then I was violently sick and bloated. I think I am definitely going to avoid from now on.

SmallTreeDeepRoots · 01/08/2026 13:13

@taratill Sorry about your bread effects! Toast is my downfall but I am staying (mostly) strong. But maybe an adverse reaction would help me stay away. Hope you are back on form soon!

I am avoiding clothes shopping, mostly as I hate it. But also there is a pleasure in wearing clothes that used to be tight and are now baggy!

ShebaQueen · 01/08/2026 18:36

@taratill you poor thing, that sounds awful! I must admit that I love toast, have not had any in ages, but I imagine it would be like eating bread after low carbing which always made me ill in the past. Hope you feel better soon.
And yes to black, I lived in black clothes, navy at a push as I thought it was slimming and I never wanted to stand out. Still wearing a lot of it now, but aiming for more colour when I start buying new stuff.

taratill · 02/08/2026 13:26

Glad to report I'm feeling much better today. Definitely linked to the bread I think!

Beehivebabe · 02/08/2026 16:02

@taratill glad you’re feeling better! I don’t eat much bread as it gives me heartburn, always has. I def can’t eat bread, pasta and potatoes in the same day 😅

taratill · 05/08/2026 09:52

How are we all doing? Scales are still going the right way for me which is great.

I'm so fed up with my clothes. They are all a bit baggy and shapeless and mostly black (because it's slimming)! I don't want to buy yet as I have a long way to go still but everything looks awful so I'm washing and drying and wearing the same items over and over!

I think I might have to look at getting a few bits and completely start from scratch with my wardrobe.

MoneyJo · 05/08/2026 09:54

@taratill I really recommend getting a few things on Vinted. I've done that really cheaply and got some nice stuff that I'm hoping is interim.

OP posts:
taratill · 05/08/2026 09:55

I haven't ever used Vinted, I might take a look @MoneyJo.

MoneyJo · 05/08/2026 10:25

I've had some real bargains. That's where I bought my favourite white stuff trousers in one size smaller and then another size smaller for really good prices. One day I hope to get them in another size smaller!

OP posts:
MoneyJo · 05/08/2026 10:26

I am down 2st11 since starting the jab 5months ago today. And down 4st1 since I started cutting out sugar the year before. I feel so much better.

OP posts:
taratill · 05/08/2026 11:04

I find sites like vinted overwhelming as there is so much on it. Good idea to look for things you already own and like in smaller sizes.

@MoneyJo that's a really good effort. I've lost 2 stone 9 since starting a week later than you.

I also feel much better, I have now adjusted to my new weight though and rather than feeling slim I have realised I'm still fat, lol!!

Onwards and downwards!

MoneyJo · 05/08/2026 11:27

I think we have done brilliantly @taratill !

OP posts:
Junmaro · 05/08/2026 11:30

I feel like I’m lagging behind you all. I really need to go up a dose now I feel. Might increase again over several weeks.

I agree Vinted can be a good place to buy and like the idea of getting things you already own, mine are so old though!

ShebaQueen · 05/08/2026 11:42

I was 2 stone 9lbs down at weigh in last week, and feeling very happy about it, still a long way to go though. I'm also struggling with clothes, especially in this hot weather, and feel that I don't want to spend a lot on an interim wardrobe, but I need to look smart for work, so will definitely have to buy some clothes to see me through autumn.
I have had some successes through Vinted and have also sold quite a bit on there, but I've had some failures too. I agree @taratill it's overwhelming. I like the idea of buying a smaller size of something I already have though @MoneyJo
@Junmaro we will all get there I am sure of it - feels very different on Mounjaro where I have confidence that I can get to target, whereas in the past I always expected to fall off the wagon at some point, and never get back on. If you need to go up a dose then do it, there are no prizes for sticking to the low doses. I am still on 5, but continuing to suffer from side effects.

taratill · 05/08/2026 12:46

What dose are you on @Junmaro , are you still losing?

@ShebaQueen great loss, and I agree with you about falling off the wagon. I've had a couple of 'treats' and off days but I know I can get back on it, which is liberating.
