Has anyone taken the step to order the tablets and wish to share their journey?

ive been on the pills for about 7 weeks

barely lost anything. Dont feel any different in my clothes

the side effects have been really odd the past few days. Lots of bloating and gas.

ive a week left on 4mg

wondering if it’s going to work properly soon

im definitely eating less but I wouldnt say food noise has gone away

Laska2Meryls · 14/09/2026 15:58

Are you leaving more than half an hour before eating and drinking @pouletvous ? There's evidence to day that it takes about an minutes for the tablet to fully absorb and that eating or drinking ( even tea od coffee) to early significantly affects if the tablet is absorbed fully or not . I posted a thread about it a while ago .

Laska2Meryls · 14/09/2026 17:19

Up to 90 minutes to be absorbed, that should have said

Week 10 (10 days of 4mg)
Last week loss: 0.4kg
Total loss: 7.6kg

A slower week last week but I had a meal out and a family bbq so I know I ate a bit more unhealthily than usual.

I had a return a size 14 Fatface jacket for a size 12 as the 14 was too big and some vintage style trousers that used to be too tight are how the perfect fit.

I'm feeling more appetite suppression on the 4mg but no bad side effects.
I eat my breakfast and then when it gets to my usual lunch time I don't fancy anything and have to force myself to nibble a bit of protein and some salad. Then when dinner time comes around I don't have my usual appetite but I get a mild pain in my stomach which is hunger without an appetite. I get that when I have a cold and describe it as "stomach hunger" rather than "brain hunger."

I'll be eating more healthily this week with no events happening, so keen to see if my loss rate can increase to 0.5kg a week.

Yes, usually an hour

Weekly weigh-in: one pound down after plateauing last week, so 1st 4lb down overall, after nine weeks. Collecting my second month of 4mg tablets today.

I think I’m realising that I need to eat a reasonable amount to keep losing weight on the pills. I’m sure someone who understands the science of this better than I do can explain why! On weeks/days where I’ve eaten very lightly I’ve tended not to lose much, whereas those where I’ve eaten more ‘normally’ (but still fairly healthily) have been more successful.

Hello,

I'm pretty certainly about to start my Wegovy pill journey. Like a few of you, I lost 3st with Slimming World. I'm now peri/menopausal and have put a stone back on and am really struggling to lose it again, plus another one ideally!

This may be a stupid question, but is it possible to get results with staying on the 1.5mg dose or do you have to move up the ladder? And then stay on the highest dose? I'm not sure if I can afford the £200p/m that I've seen in most places long term.

I'd appreciate any advice 😀

I’m 10 weeks in and have lost 8.6kg. SW 74kg CW 65.4kg.

I did 1 month on 1.5mg and have stayed on 4mg since then, so far I haven’t felt I need to go up. £119 per month with Bolt. I could shop around but now I weigh less I’m worried I won’t get approved elsewhere haha!

I’ve lost 1st 5lbs in 10 weeks :)

quite happy with it as I wanted to not lose too quickly

Fromhere1 · 19/09/2026 17:46

My third week weigh in this morning... Just over 3kg down in 3 weeks. I've just ordered another month of 1.5mg - it's working for me so I'm going to stay on this level for the moment.

Laska2Meryls · 20/09/2026 10:22

The scales this morning showed 11.8 which would make 1st 4lbs since 8/7 when I took my first tablet and 1.5 stone since I ordered pre-launch and had lost a couple of pounds before they arrived by cutting down in anticipation.
I'm not counting that last pound drop quite yet as I've found that a loss sometimes takes a day or so to ' settle in' , but im really pleased with my progress, especially as the weight seems to be going around my middle more than elsewhere, and being an apple shape , thats exactly where is needed .

My blood pressure has significantly dropped ( another good result as im on BP medication and it wasn't back in the normal range even in that ) and im going to ask for another cholesterol blood test soon and am hoping that will also now be in the normal range . I have another two weeks of 9mg to go, but haven't decided yet whether to go up to the 25mg dose or stick with this .

Im eating two good meals a day ( brunch and dinner ) and still having a weekend wine or two . I suppose I could cut that out to lose faster but tbh I don't want to lose all treats. I'm really happy with a slower steady loss and still keep my normal lifestyle.

I still have another stone to lose until I reach BMI ' normal' so I d really like to lose another 1.5 stones if possible to put me mid-range. That would be great .

Fromhere1 · Yesterday 08:12

Well done Laska.... I'm hoping to reduce cholesterol too. I'm having occasional treats too - am okay losing more slowly because of it.

Laska2Meryls · Yesterday 12:32

The other thing I forgot to mention is that it seems to have completely cleared up my IBSD. I was talking Questran ( Cholestyramine) for that daily and now not at all. So all in all a result.
All we need now is a bit of a price drop! But its worth it to me, despite the cost. Sadly -but also happily- although I was eligible at my BMI 29 start due to high familial BP and high cholesterol I was never going to qualify under the current NHS rules .
(Happily, because I was only 'at risk' and not because I'd already suffered any heart attacks. )

RhubarbAndMustard · Yesterday 19:03

@Laska2MerylsIve found really positive effects too on my IBSD. I’ve also found I really can’t drink alcohol at all..doesn’t taste right and has no reward feeling (plus feel awful next day) so that’s a real positive as was drinking more than I would like previously.

Im coming to the end of my 2nd month on 4mg and really undecided wether to go up or not. I suffered really intense nausea and fatigue for about 2 weeks on both the 1.5 and 4mg and am nervous to do such a big jump to 9. Weight loss is there (about 9lbs so far) but slow. I am eating smaller portions still.

Maybe I’ll stock up on ginger biscuits and go for it. I order through MedExpress and the 9mg is now £159!

24HoursFromTulseHill · Today 06:15

Week 11 (17 days of 4mg)
Last week loss: 0.5kg
Total loss: 8.1

Another half kilo loss in the last week.

I've just renewed for 4mg for a second month in a row because I'm happy with a slow & steady loss rate and don't want to risk any side effects.
I've been feeling fine on 4mg and it still allows me to eat "normal" meals but just smaller portions.

I'm still in the overweight category for my height but now at the lower end.
