Has anyone taken the step to order the tablets and wish to share their journey?

@24HoursFromTulseHill that sums it up perfectly, and I’m doing exactly the same , eating way less during the day , I could eat more but can also say no, I can do without, but eating the same as my husband, again just a bit less. It’s so much easier to live with that way, feels sustainable longer term. I’m staying on 1.5 for my next month , though will have had a four day gap ( thanks bolt and your flipping AI help bot ) .

Same here, I’ve found it easier to have the same meals as my family but just having smaller portions. Also, I’ve pretty much cut out sugar (never thought I’d do that) and despite being a crisp monster not a single bag has crossed my lips.

NortyTorty · 19/08/2026 08:06

Just taken my last starter tablet. Definitely 2kg down which is ok, I’m starting the 4mg tomorrow and hoping to stay side effect free. I am eating less for sure, but it’s not ‘life changing’ from a food noise pov.

Wonderknicks · 19/08/2026 08:22

No side effects here on the 4mg. Probably too early to say if they are having more of an effect but I wasn't very hungry yesterday!

EchoNova · 19/08/2026 08:48

Had my first weigh in today after 1 week on 1.5 mg and I'm down 3 lbs which I'm thrilled with. I was very nauseous yesterday and had some acid reflux but I had my dinner late on Monday night which I think caused that yesterday morning. No other real side effects.

I'm finding it a very different feeling to MJ. I feel hungry but just feel very full for longer, whereas on MJ the food noise was completely gone,I wasn't thinking about food at all and I didn't feel hungry.

SW: 11st 7lbs
CW: 11st 4 lbs

1.5mg
Week 1: 3lbs loss

OnlyBoltCanSaveMeNow · 19/08/2026 11:24

Sooo… took the first pill this morning around 6.30am and went straight back to sleep. I normally hate water as a drink, as it makes me burpy and I only drink it if I have a sickness bug. However, I have wanted water and nothing but water since I got up!
Haven’t thought about food yet, very unusual for me, I’ve normally got it all mapped out for the day!
Im cooking a chicken this afternoon, to cover the protein for a couple of days, so we’ll see how it pans out.
Feeling fine so far.

NeedMoreTinfoil · 20/08/2026 19:41

I'm 10 days in on 4mg.
3kg down since starting 1.5 mg mid July (more like 3.5kg since I ordered the tablets). I'm happy with slow and steady weight loss plus the hot weather has curbed a lot of exercise for me. I am trying to eat a bit more healthily as well as smaller portions but don't feel deprived as I haven't banned anything.

I am definitely noticing appetite suppression on 4mg. Also a bit queasy from time to time. I'm going to stay on 4mg for next month and see how I get on.

user1468915974 · 20/08/2026 21:45

Im a week into 4mg and today has been rubbish.
No suppression and now no self control. Just had a pizza 😕 for tea.
I seem to be OK until around 3pm and then I lose it.

Im going to do a personal experiment tomorrow and try taking my pill later than usual. Ive been taking it around 5.45am so Im thinking that maybe if I take it later, the effects might last later into the day.

Im half a stone down...I can't afford to sabotage this and some days I just don't feel the tablets working so I need to try something

Laska2Meryls · 23/08/2026 20:33

I am really struggling with eating atm , some days I'm fine and feel like I can eat two reasonable meals a day and others like today, just no.
Ok, thats what the tablet is supposed to do , so its working , but its just so weird. I've found that I'm still over catering ( I'm cooking for DH as well, and this next week we also have family and DGCs visiting). It was certainly odd going food shopping for everyone today when I could hardly look food in the face !
I definately over-bought last week and had to use up vegetables today.. but sat down to dinner this evening and just couldn't eat much at all ( so now we have leftovers 🙄) ..
I'm on 4mg and have just ordered the next step up as well. Maybe, I should have stayed at the same dose, or maybe it's just a blip.
I've lost a few more pounds , now 9lbs down ( and a just over a stone from when I first sent off my photos in June three weeks before the tablets were released). So I am really pleased. I just have to get my shopping/ food planning brain into thinking less food is enough!

Laska2Meryls · 23/08/2026 20:36

@user1468915974 Did you see the article I posted about waiting longer than 30 minutes to eat or drink? I really think it makes a difference to appetite suppression. I have made another thread with the link now , because I thought it was possibly important information.

Hi

Yes I did, thanks.

I've tried waiting 45min. 60mins and 70 mins.
None of them have made any difference.
Today has been so weird.
I waited an hour after taking the pill but I've pinched toast and hash browns off my partners breakfast ( did feel full-ish after) then ate a huge portion for dinner and craved chocolate and wine so I indulged.
I've literally felt NOTHING from the pill for the last few days.
I wonder if I gave myself a couple of days off the pill, would it be like a re-set when I started taking them again? Would a little break help??
Just clinging on to the fact that I'm the lightest I've been in over 4yrs.

Wonderknicks · 23/08/2026 21:11

On theory a break shouldn't help as taking the tablets every day means that eventually the levels stay the same all the time (or at least don't go below the effective levels) - this is "steady state". If you don't take them your blood levels will dip.back down again.
I've been on 4mg for 6 days now & appetite suppression is definitely better but I can eat a big meal if it's put in front of me, I'm just not snacking or eating much if I'm on my own.

24HoursFromTulseHill · 25/08/2026 06:47

Day 49 / week 7
Last week's loss: 0.3kg
Total loss: 6.1kg

My loss rate has continued to drop so I decided to order 4mg for my next month and see if it picks up again.

I've had a cold last week and was barely eating anything at all as I felt sick. I think my body was holding onto any calories I ate rather than burning off fat. Hopefully now I'm feeling better my loss rate will go back up a bit.

I'm going to finish my existing packets of 1.5mg and them move onto 4mh for a month and see what happens.

Minibea · 25/08/2026 07:07

I’m now 10 days in to the 4mg and haven’t found it effective at all. I’m still at the same weight I was when I finished the 1.5mg and while I did feel like the suppression was wearing off with those towards the end of dose, I lost 10lb in that first month. Bit frustrated really and don’t know what to do re next month. I mean I am eating less than I was before I started but was hoping for some more suppression when the dose increased which just hasn’t happened. Plus I’m constipated and feel really bloated all the time. Hoping that when the kids go back to school and normal routine resumes a bit then I’ll have a bit more headspace for properly meal planning and cooking, but don’t know whether to stop taking the tablets for a fortnight and restart then.

NortyTorty · 26/08/2026 08:26

5 weeks in and 3.2 kg down. Very happy with that. I’m on the 4mg and don’t feel that the food noise is suppressed BUT I definitely can’t eat as much.

Wonderknicks · 27/08/2026 08:19

Definitely feeling less hungry now.
SW 83.5 (although by the time the tablets arrived it was 82.5)
4 weeks: 81.8
Today (5.5 weeks) 79.9
Slow, but going in the right direction. No nausea at all, slightly constipated.
I've got a weekend away where meals will be provided, so that will be harder.

user1468915974 · 27/08/2026 09:29

These tablets send me on a roller coaster with how they affect me.
1.5mg 18/7/26 SW 12st 1lb
4mg 12/8/26 SW 11st 10lb
16 days in and 11st 6lb.

Some days I feel so down because there's literally NO difference when I take it. I eat like a horse, make terrible choices and weight loss stalls.
Ive tried fasting for longer, waiting for over an hour after taking the pill and some days still nothing!
Then, out of nowhere, I get days like yesterday and today where I get the full effects and it completely lifts my mood.
I think I need to remember SLOW AND STEADY.

Friedseasalt · 27/08/2026 18:58

Hi everyone,
I’m thinking about starting Wegovy but I’ve only just realised there’s now a tablet version (1.5mg) and I’d definitely prefer a tablet over an injection!

I’d love to hear how you’ve got on with them, especially the side effects and how much weight you’ve actually lost.

How were you finding the 1.5mg to start with? Did you get much nausea, sickness, constipation etc? And did you notice a difference in your appetite/cravings fairly quickly?

Also, are there any vitamins or supplements you’re taking alongside it? I keep seeing people mention things like protein, electrolytes, multivitamins etc and I’m wondering what’s actually worth taking.

I’ve also been looking at getting it through Voy – has anyone used them? What were they like and would you recommend them?

I’m basically just looking for real experiences before I take the plunge 😂 especially from anyone who’s been on the tablets rather than the injections.

thanks x

I started Wegovy pills last Weds and I was dreading the side effects… I have had zero side effects!
I have lost 7lbs and I feel brilliant! I do have to remind myself to eat as instead of snacking and planning meals and hot puddings, I’m just not fussed. My appetite lessened by the second day.
I’ve stopped drinking Coke, and my acid reflex has vanished, I drink water, tea ( I’ve had to halve my 2 sugars as found it too sweet!) and I like Fever Tree grapefruit soda.. but let it go flat first. I set an alarm about 6am, take the pill, go back to sleep and that’s it!

I don’t know if any effects will kick in when I move up a dosage size but I feel so much lighter in mood and body, that I’ll meet it head on.

I cook a chicken and have that with cheese and a slice of Hovis whole meal, and I’m full. In the evening,I have a high protein yoghurt with fresh berries, and I’m fine. I do feel as if I’ve eaten a big meal, but I’ve not suffered nausea at all.
Sleep is excellent!

I got mine with Bolt, they’ve been very good.

Wonderknicks · 28/08/2026 08:22

No unpleasant side effects here either after 6 weeks. Slight constipation but nothing bothersome.
I didn't feel any effects really on 1.5mg but definitely eating a lot less on 4mg. I'm tending to have a late breakfast of greek yoghurt, fruit & nuts, no lunch and then a normal dinner.
My problem seems to be when I'm with other people & normal meals are bring provided or eaten together (I'm not telling people I'm taking the tablets), I am actually perfectly capable of eating a lot, I just don't have the drive to do it when I'm on my own

Crikey, if 4mg makes me eat a lot less, like it’s done for you, I won’t eat at all! 😄

Is your weight dropping quicker now you’re on 4mg?
I def. know the weight is coming off me, my jeans are looser, and my boobs are shrinking, and I can get out of the bath like a greased eel, rather than a hippo😄
DP and I ate out a couple of days ago, he had the full meal and sides and I nibbled on a cheesy ( not very..) garlic pizza base, very cracker- like. I wasn’t repulsed by his food but I just didn’t want it, not even the chips! Drank flat lemonade and no pudding!

Is it true that the price jumps when you go up to 4mg? I’m seeing £104, £114 everywhere.

Wonderknicks · 28/08/2026 15:53

No, my weight isn't dropping particularly fast (I think I posted up thread). There's no need to go up a dose if you don't need to.
I paid £79 for 1.5mg & £99 for 4mg (Boots). I think I'll stay on 4mg next month.

24HoursFromTulseHill · Today 06:30

Day 56 / week 8
Last week's loss: 0.2kg
Total loss: 6.3kg

My loss has slowed to the lowest rate yet so I'm moving up to 4mg when I finish my current 1.5mg packet in a few days time.

I think I either need to increase my exercise level or reduce my calorie intake (or both) so I'll see what the 4mg tablets do to my appetite and try to add another HIIT workout to me week.

On the plus side, I bought some new jeans online from m&s and thought I'd try out size 12 and was surprised when they fitted. I know M&S is one of the worst for vanity sizes and that definitely doesn't make me a size 12 but it was great to see that my waist is returning.

I was at BBQ at the weekend and ate only one sensible, balanced plate of food and ignored the desserts and stuck to alcohol free, low calorie drinks.

Let's see what this week on 4mg brings.
