Got mine on preorder…. I’m excited and a little apprehensive… have two stone to lose.

That’s not what I paid for voy, or anywhere close. I paid £79 for my first month

So I don’t think it’s accurate at all.

The pricing at Voy is a bit tricky to pin down, as it depends how long you sign up for. At the moment, if you sign up for a 6 month contract the first month is £79 and then subsequent months will be £134/£159/£199 depending on what dose you move to. If you cancel earlier than the last month in the 6 months then there is a cancellation fee, which isn't clearly specified in their terms of sale.

If you sign up for 12 months, it's slightly cheaper, if it's 3 or 1 month then it's more expensive.

Thanks, yes I’ve found Voy a bit unclear on the prices. I’m hoping that when things settle down a bit the prices will do so as well. Also I’ve just spoken to my provider Simply Online and they say they’re hoping to start posting out at the end of next week

I ordered them from Bolt. No delivery today so fingers crossed tomorrow!

When I started on the tablets in March I was prescribed a 1.5 mg dose as a starter and warned that the effect would probably be quite low, and although there was an effect that was an accurate statement. After 12 weeks on that dose I moved up to a 4mg dose, which is what I'm still taking, and the effect is more noticeable. However, because I am actively trying to lose weight (not speedily - about a pound a week) I still have to calorie-count to keep my intake low enough to do that. Left to my own devices I probably wouldn't gain any weight but I might not lose any either. The effect of the pills is to make the calorie-counting bearable.

I have another appointment at the weight-management clinic in August, and as by then I will have had almost 12 weeks on the 4mg dose they might bump me up to the next level, which is 9mg. I've had no side-effects beyond havng to take measures to avoid constipation. That is a well-known side-effect because the drug slows down progression through the gut and I have to be careful of it because I have a history of diverticulosis. I've been paying $147 a month so far for the drug (nothing for the clinic because Medicare and my Medigap insurance policy covers that, though not the drug - that may be changing but I've had no info about it so far) but I think the price goes up at the next level.

My hope is that when I arrive at a weight the doctors and I are all happy with, I can go back down to the lower dose as a maintenance thing, and stop with the calorie counting, which would be a relief.

my Voy app says delivery 7/8th- but is still showing as “order recieved”.

that would mean dispatch Monday or Tuesday? It’s been clinician reviewed but has gone back to “processing payment” as obviously they won’t charge me until dispatch.

My pharmacy won't dispatch until after I've paid.

You’re in the US though?

UK system is you authorise your credit card when you purchase, but they don’t take the funds until after/when they dispatch the product.

mine won’t be marked as paid until they have sent them.

I didn't realise the systems were different. I still have a bank account in the UK as well as a US one, but I only use the credit card to keep my UK esim on my phone so I have a number I can use when I'm visiting. VOXI are pretty cheap!

3 are the best I’ve found 🤣. Just top it up £10 when you’re travelling and get free roaming worldwide as well.

i was appalled at US mobile plans - Ds is out there at uni and bloody hell the prices! And you can’t get a cheap monthly sim, he pays 250 dollars ish upfront for the year, which is the cheapest we could find. My sim is £7 a month for the same service…

reminds me actually of a weight loss injection ad I saw clearly translated from a US ad- cheaper per month that your phone bill. It was £79! The comment section was gold 🤣

but yes, US and UK banking is very different. It took DS a year to set up a US bank account because they couldn’t get their heads round no social security number, and all his scholarships were paid by bloody cheque!! So when he came home for the summer he had 4 months worths of cheques sat in the office and couldn’t pay his rent…which also is paid by cheque.

don’t get me started on the third party apps either 🤣. No I don’t have venmo or cash app, and I can’t get them because I don’t have a us bank account. So to pay my share of meals/gifts for people I have to send cash!

i literally only use my phone to pay for stuff. I don’t have a wallet, and the only use I have for physical cards or cash is when I go to the IS 🤣

I was lucky in that I was able to set up a bank account in the US through my HSBC account in the UK while I was in the process of moving over here in 2002. I’d just sold my house in the UK so I was flush for cash, which helped! I like it because I can easily transfer money between the two, though I also have a local account with a local bank with DH because HSBC only have a physical branch in New York.

We have a mobile phone account through Spectrum, which costs about $50 a month for both of us and is quite limited for data though it’s only $5 a gig if you go over and DH only has a flip phone so doesn’t use it. VOXI at £12 a month feels very cheap!

I use PayPal and Venmo for paying online - cheques (checks) are more common here than in the UK but getting less so. My DD in the UK often pays by tapping with her phone but a lot of places here aren’t set up for that yet. I rarely pay for anything with cash.

I've just ordered through Bolt. Submitted the photos and just waiting for the approval now. My BMI is currently 35.2 so have a lot of weight to lose and have struggled to lose any and keep it off since having my son 4 years ago. Don't know why but I didn't like the idea of the injections but feeling optimistic about the pills 🤞

I'm absolutely terrified of needles so have been waiting for these. I have no idea of prices or where to buy from so if posters could mention both I would really appreciate it.

If it's at all encouraging, my BMI was 34.6 when I started at the beginning of March and is now 31.4, so I'm heading in the right direction. For me, the pills alone were not enough without tracking calories too - it's too easy for me to eat calorie-dense food. I aim to eat around 1300-1500 a day but I have to track them. I have noticed myself being less hungry though, and I do wonder if that will be more noticeable if I go up from 4mg to 9mg at my next appointment in August.

The other thing I'm finding is that Chat GPT is very helpful in helping me track the calories. I'm still paying for the Noom app, but I will cancel that as soon as my current months that I've paid for finish, because Chat GPT is enough along with my Pacer app for step counting on my phone.

erm it says they adding discounts daily on ogovy, its actually right ... voy literally says on its own site its 154 normal price which is crazy lol sod that id rather pay 60 from medexpress thru that site and ill use someone else next month except bolt cos they literally call people fat in some of their ads
