Has anyone else pre-ordered Wegovy pills?

Got mine on preorder…. I’m excited and a little apprehensive… have two stone to lose.

The clinical trials for efficacy should have established the effective dosing for the pill formulation as compared with the injection formulation.

we are discussing preorder of the pills, those of us who have or are considering it have already decided against the injections.

you can usually work around oral absorption by taking medications at different times.

I had good results with injections (MJ) and have broadly maintained my weight since hitting BMI 26 last August. However a few pounds have crept on since Easter and the food noise is annoying.

Towards the end of my time on MJ last summer I disliked injecting. It was weird because I’m not squeamish and I’m unafraid of needles - I just developed a psychological aversion to the injections, felt a bit sick just before administering them.

So I’m definitely thinking of ordering these pills.

Yes, I’ve seen a few people pre-ordering them as they roll out, especially with providers offering early access or waitlists. It’ll be interesting to see how availability and pricing look once they fully launch. I use Wegovy, and it’s been helpful having support while navigating new options like this.

I’ve just switched from Mounjaro to the Wegovy pills. Mainly due to the cost, and I like the idea of a tablet rather than injecting. I’ve never had an issue with the injections but used to dread it. I’m at goal weight so hoping to use them for maintenance. Was told I had to order the lowest dose and work up. £99 for a month’s supply.

I’m curious about them too, My online clinic said they’ll be offering the pill version as well. From what I’ve seen it’s meant to have a similar effect, just a different way of taking it.

I have ordered them from Asda, the worst bit was doing the photos, but its been approved and Im excited for July! Currently BMI 29 but also on blood pressure and cholesterol tablets so was eligible. I lost nearly 3 stone on Fast500 - was on the original threads here ( cant believe that was 13 years ago ) but piled it all back on within a couple of years and have never managed to get back into the mindset to do it all again ..

I'm now throughly sick of it all and now having to take blood pressure and cholesterol meds ( probably for life as heriditary) has just topped it out for me and I know that my weight is a significant contributor also .

I had thought about injections, but didn't- I suppose because I felt that id have to hide them - thats down to me not anyone else , but I just didn't want to have that conversation with DH.... However the tablets are different.. I feel like I have waited all my life for these so here's hoping .. and I have been open about planning take those.

I haven’t told anyone either. When I was using the injections I lived with one extrovert adult son who was hardly ever home and another adult DC who was away at university most of the time. However I now live with DP so it’d be hard to conceal.

DP is lovely but he’s one of those people who “eats less and walks more” when he gains a few pounds. He doesn’t understand fully the issues that lead to obesity. My DCs are the same.

My DH is one of those who eats like a horse and struggles to keep weight on , But I'm taller and built on a larger scale than him anyway and he certainly doent get how hard it is for me to lose weight. He's under 10st ! I hate him! -not really. But he's never once been critical about my weight in 30 years and I really think he doesn't judge me for it at all, but of course he knows how unhappy it makes me being 3stone heavier than him now ..

One of my main problems is that I love to cook and experiment with new recipes and cuisines, its kind of my hobby.. and so does he... Anyway I'm just going to have to work on that one... I m determined now that I have committed to this, that I'm going to see it through ..

I applied to Voy this morning and have just been approved.

Full disclosure - BMI is 27 but when applying I shaved an inch off my height, added enough pounds to my weight to hit BMI 30, and used a post-breakfast photo in an unflattering long clingy white tshirt which showed off my two worse features - caesarean section overhang, and big legs.

I'm cheering you all on from over here! My next appointment with the weight management clinic is early August, and I guess I'll find out then if they're going to bump me up from 4mg to 9mg. I just got home from ten days staying with DS2, in which a lot of take-out food was ordered plus two birthday parties, and I managed to keep my weight stable, though didn't lose anything. Back home now and back in my usual food routine, which is a lot healthier, so we'll see if I manage to lose any more before August.

I'm nervously waiting for approval too! I ordered from Boots as they are a familiar name and had a good introductory offer.

Can't wait to get started, especially as the heatwave makes my heaviness feel even worse!

We must start a dedicated Wegovy tablets thread once we all get them ... I really hope that the results will be as good as people on the jabs are getting.
I've been seriously cutting down foodwise since submitting my horrid weight photos, but thats been easy because Ive had no appetite at all in the really hot weather.
I also made sure I took my photos after dinner and drank two pints of water beforehand, so scales would weigh heavier! (yeah, I know, but was worried that I might be refused as under 30 BMI , even though have high blood pressure/ cholesterol). But as it was, I needn't have bothered because even now with my weight having dropped a couple of pounds those last week im still BMI 29.

Hopefully they'll come this week

I've been reading the Wegovypillweightloss sub on Reddit. Although not all positive, there are lots of success stories and it's making me feel quite optimistic. Useful to get some ideas of what to expect. I've gone from apprehensive and nervous to quite excited!

I haven't ordered yet but am planning to get my act together and do so before long... want to start the tablets over the summer holidays and hopefully return to school in a good weight loss routine!

@Twoshoesnewshoes lots of hunger here too also I very rarely get time to myself, so tend to have to scoff down meals - it's not a good combination...

I decided to go with the injections instead, cost reasons

Feeling nervous and excited. I am meant to be travelling for work the week of 13th July. I guess if we get them 6th July I will know by then if they make me feel sick. I thought I might wait to start until after but actually having appetite suppression while I am away will be HUGELY useful. I find managing eating while I am travelling really hard because I tend to overeat when there is food I like as I have no idea when I will next have access to decent food (at least I am not going to Germany -- I survive on wine and coffee and chocolate in Germany usually ...!).

I’m a MedExpress affiliate and can see they’re approving orders. I’m thinking I’m going to move across from the jab. Let’s hope they’re good
