@Gingercar - glad the plateau has begun to shift at long last ! Just a pound off for me this week too .
@Placestogo - exciting to have some sunshine to look forward to , we actually had a hailstorm earlier this afternoon, and it’s chilly this evening - or would be had I not caved and put the heating on ( don’t think DH has realised as yet ).

ElsieJay · 16/05/2026 08:52

Stupidly missed my personal MJ anniversary - was convinced it was 19 May, but on checking found it was the 9th.
Late to the party as ever …..

SutekhsEars · 16/05/2026 11:10

My anniversary is today, or tomorrow, I think. I've been at GW for around two months, BMI is 23. I'm titrating down very gradually and I can already feel the food noise coming back. Currently on 4mg/week, about to reduce to 3.5mg.
I'm very grateful for mounjaro and this amazing group of supportive women! 🙏

Gingercar · 16/05/2026 18:41

Happy anniversary to you ladies, late or not!

I had a nice nsv today. I hold an annual sponsored walk at my cafe each year and do croissants and coffee before leaving and afternoon tea afterwards. Lots of people do it every year. One lady said that she when she arrived she didn’t recognise me, I’ve lost so much weight. She said I thought I had got a helper (I’m normally a one man band!). And I managed to not eat the chocolate croissants myself!

Apprenante · 16/05/2026 21:55

@Gingercar Double cheers for the NSV and the croissant avoidance!

And another cheer for organising a fundraising event. What do you raise the money for? Don't tell us if it's too personal.

Apprenante · 16/05/2026 21:57

@SutekhsEars Happy anniversary! 23 sounds like a great place to be.

Kbr22 · 16/05/2026 22:18

OK my anniversary today. I weighed 60.6 today and my goal is 60kg!!! I know you won’t be able to see the difference between 0.6kg but it seems to mean so much to me!!! I think it is that I have never, on all the diets I have done for the last 37 years reached goal, and this time I really want to!! I then always give up and pile the weight back on, but after what this has cost, in money time and commitment I am not ready to give up yet. I will get there, and with all the amazing stories, and support on here I know I will. As I keep saying reading all your posts everyday, keeps me going. Including my family, only 6 people know I have been taking the jabs, so being able to express my thoughts to you lovely people has been a life line. Please don’t anyone go away, even when you are all reaching goal as we have a wonderful community here.

Gingercar · 17/05/2026 11:00

Well done @Kbr22 - that’s as near as dammit at goal. You’ll be there in no time. I’m loving this anniversary thread and how so many people are commenting.

@Apprenante the walk was for mountain rescue. My cafe is in a rural area and I get lots of walkers, cyclists and horse riders, so it’s a good cause for them.

HKG · 17/05/2026 12:57

Whoop whoop @Kbr22 thats GOAL in my book!!! Huge congrats! And what timing!

Apprenante · 17/05/2026 22:30

@Kbr22 congratulations on your anniversary and reaching so close to your goal at the same time! 🎊 👏 💐 🥳 🎊

ElsieJay · 18/05/2026 12:44

@Kbr22 - well done ,what a fantastic achievement ! 🍾🥂
I know what you mean about that final pesky 0.6kg though - there’s something about that
word “goal”, isn’t there .

I know. I have to see my pharmacist tomorrow and I said last month that I will be at goal next time I see you, but I am not, just 0.5kg of though!!!! So maddening but so really not a big problem, only in my head. I will not be beaten at this stage, and will get there, it might take 1 or 2 months, but I will get there. I have not come all this way to lose at the last hurdle!!!! His goal for me was 66kg but I feel that I should be lower than that.

Kipperandarthur · 19/05/2026 16:04

I went up to 12.5mg 3 weeks ago having been on the injections for nearly a year.

Crickey this weekend it really hit me and my body does not like this dose.
Sulphur burps, stomach pains after eating a normal size meal and just general discomfort. Actually vomited last night that did relieve the pain.
Today I feel much better but it will be very light food for me today and the next few days to try and get back to normal.

It seems strange to have done a year with some side effects such as being cold and runny nose, constipation that needs to be medicated with Movicol but otherwise generally smooth sailing.

I've taken it slow and steady but 3 weeks of 12.5 is just too much to the extent that I am not going to inject this week and give myself a bit of a reset and then inject next week click counting to a much lower dose and go from there.

Anybody else experienced something similar at this stage of it all?
I can see on Reddit etc others have had similar many months in.

DBatteryBand · 19/05/2026 18:49

@Kipperandarthur I was on 7.5mg for months and months. Went up to 10 mg a few months ago and felt absolutely awful. It's mostly settled down, but still needs treating with respect! I think my body got used to the 7.5mg dose and the higher dose was a shock to the system. I definitely notice it if I eat something fatty, whereas on 7.5 I could cheerfully push a few slices of pizza down my neck.

Well done @Kbr22 !!!

Seahorsesplendour · 19/05/2026 20:44

Congratulations to everyone!!! It’s great hearing about losses big and small!!!

I haven’t felt the cold at all but suddenly freezing this week!!! Think that’s the weather tho!!! 🙈🤣

Gingercar · 20/05/2026 09:48

It has been freezing this week! Hopefully warming up at the weekend.

It’s my anniversary today. The scales kindly dropped another lb this week to celebrate, so that’s 2lbs down this week after a five or six week plateau. It looked like it was going to drop another lb yesterday, but bounced back today, but it feels good to be on the move again! So I’m 4 stones 10lbs down from last year, edging towards a size 12, when I set off as a size20 in denial, cramming myself into a 18. Feeling good, fitter and stronger. Just about to start my last proper pen (I have a 2.5 for coming off). It’s a 15. I should have taken 12.5 on Sunday, but am going to take 10mg tonight and see how it goes. I think the plan is a slightly lower dose spread out over around 9 days. I have just cover a stone left to lose if I’m to get to where I want to be.

Apprenante · 20/05/2026 10:21

@Gingercar 🎊🎊🎊 that's a great result for your jabbiversary! 4 stone 10lb is an amazing loss. May I ask what percentage of your original bodyweight that is?

I've been maintaining for about 5 months - although I decided to stick around a bmi of 27. I’m down to a dose of 2.5 about every 10 days. So ive used the same plan as you - although I didnt ever go as high as 15.

Planning to reduce/eaxtend gaps further after I've had my holidays to Wales and to France in June.

I've lost a bit more since deciding to maintain as I'm more or less eating what I ate whilst I was trying to lose. Wales is self catering so relatively straightforward. France is an immersion language group where I stay with someone who is a very good cook. More of a challenge!

Gingercar · 20/05/2026 11:30

I think it’s about 27% of my start weight. Embarrassing what a state I had let myself get into. I hope I never go back.
I was never on 15mg, it was bought in a bundle last autumn when I bulk bought. I’ve been on 12.5 for the last two pens. It just feels like there’s no point in going up to 15 if I’m coming off. I might as well work down slowly. Plus I’d be gutted to find that I finally had suppression on 15 when it’s too late to order another (I’ve not ordered a pen for months, I’d have to restart anyway if I tried to reorder anyway). I doubt I would have suppression anyway, I haven’t all year.

France sounds interesting. I vaguely remember you mentioning that last year. I should come with you. I have a few conversation french groups that I run.

Apprenante · 21/05/2026 20:11

@Gingercar On tutoyer?

@HKG you missed our anniversary!! Hope you’re ok.

DBatteryBand · Yesterday 06:29

I hate to lower the tone - all this French is tres bien and tres chic - but just dropping in to pass on the benefit of my experience. You’d think after a year I would have learned my lesson, but yesterday, in a fit of madness, I consumed a quantity of Angel Delight (butterscotch flavour, for those in need of further information). To say I now regret it is an understatement (I will omit the details 😬). Avoid, avoid, avoid!

Oh, you hellish bowl of UPF loveliness….

Gingercar · Yesterday 09:24

I found where my husband had hidden his walnut whips from Xmas and nicked one! I mean who still has chocolate left from Xmas at the end of May?? No wonder he can’t put weight on!

I should have taken my jab on Monday and keep forgetting. It’s my last pen and I’m trying to drop down the doses and space them out anyway.

Kbr22 · Yesterday 10:30

@DBatteryBand That brought back memories of when I was young, I loved Angel Delight especially the butterscotch flavour but haven’t seen it in years! @Gingercar A treat is a great thing of beauty once in a while.

SutekhsEars · Yesterday 16:29

@Gingercar what a weirdo! Him, not you, obviously!
Is anyone else mourning clothes they got rid of years ago? M&S have discontinued my favourite shorts. 😥 I'm scouring vinted for a replacement pair, as these are hanging off me.

SussexLass87 · Yesterday 16:32

The BEST flavour of angel delight. Excellent choice.
