That’s amazing- both the weight loss and the running. 👏👏👏. You must feel fantastic.

I started running in late May. I was really enjoying it until the school holidays kicked in and I let it slide a bit, but have picked it up again this week. I don’t like running on roads, prefer fields, and I follow my own plan - it’s very hilly here, so I walk up steep hills at the moment. But I am pretty amazed I can run. I feel a bit out of body sometimes- like “I’m still running, I can’t believe I’ve not stopped by now”.

AlicesMum2025 · 08/09/2026 17:48

Thank you. I get that feeling too sometimes @Gingercar . I can run for almost an hour but could hardly do 30 seconds when I started. I don't have to deal with many hills though since I'm in East Anglia and it's pretty flat.

Amazing results @AlicesMum2025 you must feel amazing.

i could technically lose 50% of my starting weight but I think maybe I’d be too light at that weight.

I’m excited to be in the 84kg which is still huge but not when you used to be over 120kg

slowly losing here on 10mg

Gingercar · 09/09/2026 23:39

Out of interest, who do people on maintenance order from? I’m now wondering whether to stay on MJ at 2.5 if this fabulous run of suppression/scale movement continues next week. But I’ve not ordered a pen since Jan and I applied three times online and they said I wasn’t eligible. I’m 1.5 stones over a healthy bmi (currently 28). Now am a little worried! I always thought 27 bmi was the cut off.

Apprenante · 10/09/2026 11:02

My recent orders have been Medexpress and there's been no problem about BMI (27.5) ordering 5mg.

They did query my change in height! But after I'd assured them that I was as disappointed as could be that I'd lost 2" they dispensed very quickly. I was impressed that they'd checked up!

I'm not sure that they're the cheapest.

Hello from next to the pool 😃. Well my good intentions havnt been very good. 🤣.

I have been having 2 pancakes for breakfast most mornings. Just with half a teaspoon of sugar and lemon juice, not the chocolate sauce or maple syrup my DH has been having, as well as the cook breakfast he has been having. He eats like a horse and never puts weight on. 🤨

Lunch as been ok, salad and some sort of protein. Supper mostly the same so not too bad. Only had cheesecake once and that was on a Sunset Cruise we did, also had Proseco on that, Ive not drunk in 10 years, and it must have been very low alcohol as I didnt feel like I had drunk anything!
Have stuck to Virgin Bloody Marys or diet coke since. Not really bother if I put a bit back on as Ive been on 1.0mg Wegovey for months as going up to 1 7 made me sick, but 1.0 isnt really managing suppression now so when I get back Im going to count clicks to 1.3 and see how I go. Hopefully that will knock whatever Ive put on back off.

Gingercar · 11/09/2026 12:47

I can’t see how you’d put weight on from that @Megsdaughter, you sound angelic! Make sure you enjoy yourself too. You can get yourself back on track again. And I’m very jealous of the pool!

My week of having suppression has been nothing short of amazing. It wore off towards the end of the week but I have just jabbed again today so we’ll see if it resurfaces. I have finally used up the 15mg pen that I have been using since May. The last dose was a bit less than 2.5. But I have lost half a stone since last week! Which has been an absolute gift to get rid of what I had put on and to boost my morale and determination. I have one 2.5mg pen left. I think I may just order another if this lucky streak continues. Assuming I can find a provider. Feeling good. (sorry if I’m going on about this so much. It’s such a novelty for me to have suppression.)

Apprenante · 11/09/2026 22:54

You must be thrilled @Gingercar. Do you think the change in your working pattern might be helping too?

ElsieJay · 12/09/2026 06:37

Wow, @Gingercar - what a fantastic boost !
The magical suppression long overdue, and very very well deserved . Sixteen months with virtually none would have had most of us throwing in the towel I reckon .

@Megsdaughter - glad you’re having a good holiday, sounds like you’re doing brilliantly food wise . I’m finding the ice cream almost impossible to resist - luckily most of the local cakes and pastries are far too sweet for me .
We had a fabulous meal last night with DD and DSonIL to celebrate their upcoming
anniversary. Very small restaurant , family run and the most delicious food ever!
Roast lamb and puréed aubergine, feta saganaki, strips of preserved watermelon with coconut yoghurt - 🩷
If you’re staying anywhere near Paralimni I’d be happy to message you the details.

DBatteryBand · 12/09/2026 11:43

@Gingercar Fantastic news!

I am very jealous reading about folks on holiday. I went back to work after the summer (teacher) at the start of September, and I have gone full time for the first time in about 14 years. I’d forgotten how manic it is!

I am in a bit of a huff this morning. Have put in another order with Oushk and had to go through the full rigmarole of taking a photo and filling in all the information (which is fine and sensible) but then I also had to take another selfie and film myself getting on the scales, which was a complete faff. It seems every month I have to do this, and it doesn’t make any sense to me, as I am registered with them, so they can see all my previous verification videos (I have done several, including at least two with their online verification people), all my previous photos and all the rest of it. I know it’s to make sure I’m not jacking myself up on gallons of Mounjaro if I’m only weighing 5 stone, or whatever, but I have been with them for over a year, so you’d think they had enough information to just re-issue the same dose they issued four weeks ago (for a similar astronomical amount). Plus, when I weighed myself this morning I had lost one pound (having been stuck for a few weeks)…but when I got DD to film me standing on the scales just now, I weighed 3 pounds heavier. This has made me very grumpy indeed, although I know it’s because I got dressed, ate breakfast, drank lots of water and coffee.

I know it’s just the way it is, but it’s all so bloody time consuming and irritating. Just give me my hugely expensive drugs!!!!

(Just read this back. I do sound very cross. I’m wondering whether it might be time to investigate HRT. )😃

ElsieJay · 12/09/2026 12:44

@DBatteryBand - I hear you !

My two best friends ( both now retired ) were teachers so I know how demanding it is.
Thank you for not only sticking with it, but upping your hours into the bargain.
Brave lady ! 🥇

I’ve always been with Asda online pharmacy, probably not the cheapest but I can’t be bothered faffing around with changing suppliers and going through the hassle you’re now experiencing.
Quite agree Oushk should “know their customer” a bit more, that rigmarole is very off putting .
Asda have been okay up to now, but have I think cottoned on to me dosing 2.5 from a 5 pen, in a bid to save money and hopefully eventually stop.
I’m presently getting daily texts or e mails reminding me that each pen only lasts 4 weeks ( ha ! ) so it’s time I placed another order. 😡😡
No, it’s time I sat by the sea and relaxed 🏖️.

Happy to fume in solidarity with you !

You must be thrilled @Gingercar. Do you think the change in your working pattern might be helping too?

Yes I’m sure it’s helping. I’ve really ramped up the exercise again and am feeling more toned already after a fortnight.

Gingercar · 12/09/2026 19:21

@DBatteryBand i hear you, it’s very annoying. I can understand them doing it every six months, or perhaps more often as you get near goal, but it does get annoying when you’ve been a regular.

I’ve been trawling around the various pharmacies seeing if I can get another pen, and it’s annoying me that I have to give all my details, including email, to most of them long before they decide my BMI is too low, then I’m getting emails from companies I can’t use!
My suppression is not great anymore but I’m still trying to keep my portions smaller, as I think I am generally eating a little much.

SignedUpAgain · Yesterday 16:00

I forgot to order a new pen. Thought I’d one more dose and then went to take it and it was just the bit at the end.

then saw some good deals with other suppliers ( I usually use it) which meant the whole rigmarole of signing up with a new supplier.

but every pound saved is worth it.

finally got confirmed that they have approved me. So it will be a full week in between shots once I finally receive it.

have has virtually no suppression this week. Hungry and even drinking at the weekend.

I am not ready to quit this yet.
