Finally some more movement on the scales. Not sure if it’s related to dropping down to 10mg
also accidentally used the extra dose last night I think. I wasn’t sure if I had one more dose left or not, but in hindsight it felt like less than the usual clicks.
hey ho I’m sure will be ok on slightly less mg this week.

stalled all throughout March and April and then the same weight on and off during May and June. Very disappointing.

but looking back
01/03. 91.8kg
01/04 91.4kg
01/05 88.4kg
01/06 88.4kg
01/07 87.6kg
06/08 85.4 kg

ita still 6.4 kg in 5 months so not that bad a bigger picture.

my “friend ‘ the only person outside the family who knew I was taking MJ, said to my DH recently. “Is signed up still taking MJ? Only she lost so much at the start but it doesn’t seem to be working anymore!’

cheeky mare.

I mostly haven’t bought a lot of new clothes so maybe she hasn’t noticed. I’m going to tell her I’ve stopped. Can’t be arsed with her constant scrutiny and opinions.

Gingercar · 06/08/2026 15:00

That’s good news @SignedUpAgain
The spa sounds blissful @ElsieJay

Im still here, albeit sulking a little. My scales went up 3lbs this week. I don’t think it’s a real 3lbs, and I’m not even registering it, but it’s annoying! I haven’t been able to run for 10 days and I went for a lovely meal in London this week, but didn’t have dessert, and it certainly wasn’t 3lbs worth of meal! Hopefully it will come off next time.
Im now down to 4mg after being on 12.5 mg at the start of June. Haven’t felt any different really, in fact I’m usually at day 12-14 when I remember to jab. However I am picking a bit. Possibly because I’m in the cafe every day for the school holidays, but I’m having to rein myself in. I’m currently munching on a carrot!

Megsdaughter · 06/08/2026 15:38

Ive stuck a bit over the last two weeks. Only lost 1/2lb this week. Was hoping for a bit more before we go on holiday on 6th September. Still its better than nothing.

Ive been putting things back on Vinted today. Things I bought off there back in April time which are now to big. I really need a size 14 now but will wait till after holiday to make sure I dont put to much on.

ElsieJay · 07/08/2026 14:07

Ouch, @Gingercar - it’s a real kick in the teeth, isn’t it .
Not “ real” weight, as you say, but it’s still demoralising . Think you’ve done amazingly, what with being literally surrounded by food all day long.
More power to the carrots!🥕 🥕 🥕 🥕

@Megsdaughter Just half a pound off for me this week also, and like you on the countdown for Cyprus. Suppression seems better this week , but need to focus on upping the protein. Hope you do well with your Vinted sales 🤞.

Apprenante · 07/08/2026 17:46

@Gingercar I find raw carrots take aaaagggeeeesss to eat so are very good for prevention of accidental consumption of cheese and other higher calorie items. See also celery.

That 3lb will disappear as if by magic.

Apprenante · 07/08/2026 17:56

@DBatteryBand we were probably all too busy imagining Greggs sausage rolls. Other pastry products are available.

@ElsieJay how much longer before you go to Cyprus?

@Megsdaughter is it easy to put things on Vinted? My wardrobe is over-stuffed and it would be a good idea to cull it.

@SignedUpAgain Good idea to tell your friend you've stopped. None of her business actually.

My daughter is starting another (fourth time) round of treatment for her cancer next week - if there's a bed available. It's immunotherapy this time rather than chemotherapy and is supposed to be very effective. Everything is crossed. Any positive thoughts you can send will be greatly appreciated.

ElsieJay · 07/08/2026 19:02

@Apprenante - a skyfull of positive energy for your lovely daughter .

And the biggest hug to lovely you . xxxxx

DBatteryBand · 07/08/2026 19:04

@Apprenante Sending all love and positive thoughts. A better use of my mind than thinking about sausage rolls. All the best to your girl, and to you xxxx

Megsdaughter · 07/08/2026 19:17

@Apprenante positive thoughts for your daughter.
Yes its really easy to put things on Vinted. Just make sure you have postage bags ready and communicate to your buyers just when you can post. You dont fet the mobey released to you till they have recieved it and ok'd it. Oh and put the actual size in your title. They amount if people who dont put tge size.

Apprenante · 07/08/2026 19:59

Thank you - your support is valued. I try not to go on about it in real life because many friends want to know everything in detail and it can feel very intrusive. On line is better!

I really must have a go at selling on Vinted. I'm quite good at buying.

DBatteryBand · 08/08/2026 08:02

Well. I can't believe it. For the first time in my 50+ years, I am in the healthy weight range. Dropped the two pounds I apparently gained on holiday and another one, which squeaks me into the healthy range with a BMI of 24.9. I'll take that!

I am one pound off having lost 8 stone. That's an entire (teeny tiny) person. This Mounjaro stuff is incredible, there is absolutely no way I would have lost all that tonnage on my own. Amazing.

ElsieJay · 08/08/2026 08:59

Huge congratulations, @DBatteryBand - amazing achievement !!
It’s such a great feeling to finally be in the
“Healthy” range isn’t it - like you, I spent
(far too) many years being labelled as overweight or obese.
Let the celebrations begin ! 🍾 🥂 👏 🎉 🥳

Gingercar · 08/08/2026 09:21

@Apprenante sending thoughts and hugs for you and your daughter.xx

@DBatteryBand 🎉🎉congratulations!🎉🎉

Apprenante · 08/08/2026 09:42

Hooray for @DBatteryBand ! What are your next plans?
Thank you @Gingercar.

DBatteryBand · 08/08/2026 11:46

Thanks, all. Plans are to drop a few more pounds then start titrating down and see how it goes. I think I will be taking it forever, the question is how much of the magic potion do I need to take so I continue to have relief from food noise and can still fit into my new clothes.

HKG · 08/08/2026 19:14

@DBatteryBand CONGRATULATIONS!!! You legend!!! Your rock star!

@Apprenante sendjng an army of positivity and healing to you and your daughter. xxx

Foreveronaplane · 11/08/2026 08:20

Lol.. i laughed hard at the red swimsuit posts because i bought one too!!
@DBatteryBand congratulations. Fabulous achievement👏👏👏
@Apprenante lots of positive thoughts. Ive read amazing things about immunotherapy and how it really is a game changer treatment.

Apprenante · 11/08/2026 09:29

Thank you all for the positive thoughts.

@Foreveronaplane im glad you've heard good things about immunotherapy. She's had 3 rounds of chemo over the last years which subdued the cancer each time but it always came back. I'm trying not to research too much but I'm hoping ... She's very brave and has already outlived the prognosis. I think it's because she's determined to be here for her daughter who's still at university. She's a single parent and they're very close.

Well that was a long ramble off the topic of WLI! Sorry. You're my therapy.

ElsieJay · 11/08/2026 09:45

Ramble all you wish, @Apprenante - this is our safe space . Positive thoughts and a gentle hug heading your way xx

She sounds a strong, amazing woman. Just like her mum. And as Elsie says, ramble all you want. We’re always here for you if you need an ear or a shoulder.

Apprenante · 15/08/2026 23:04

Have I broken the thread with my rambling? I'm very sorry.

Or maybe you're all just too hot ....

DBatteryBand · 16/08/2026 07:22

Still here! Blimey, it has been hot. I am very glad not to be lugging around all that extra weight this summer.

Scales are showing a 2 lb gain this week but I know this is probably heat related and I'm not that bothered. I seem to be mentally adjusting to being in maintenance mode rather than weight loss mode, but really would like to be a comfortable size 12 rather than a mostly 14, before properly putting on the brakes. This is entirely for reasons of vanity and because I want to be thinner than my sister. Petty, but that's me. 😄

Gingercar · 16/08/2026 09:42

Still here, just nothing much to report (unfortunately!). Although I bought two size 12 dresses that fit nicely, so am making progress even if the scales aren’t showing it! Two more weeks until the cafe returns to just opening at weekends and I can do more. I’m working 7 days a week now, and am tired, so have scaled back the steps/running a little for now.

@Apprenante i hope you are ok and things are going well with your daughter’s treatment. (Hope everyone on here is is ok too, but you’ve obviously got a lot going on).

ElsieJay · 16/08/2026 13:42

Still here also, but like @Gingercar there's not any real news.
Unlike Gingercar, I’m not working very hard and sadly not doing much exercise either.
The walking group DH and I joined earlier in the summer resumes tomorrow now the heatwave is subsiding. It’s not overly strenuous as it’s for pulmonary rehab participants , but we both enjoy it and they’re a very friendly bunch. Looking forward to that if ( please God ! ) it’s cooler.

I’ve bought a couple of cotton dresses ( same dress in different colours ) from the Seasalt sale , size 10 - but it’s a very loose style and didn’t want them overly voluminous. Pleased with both.
Still feeling nauseous from time to time , so plan on titrating down to 2.5 when I start my next pen. Will also be taking it on holiday for the first time.
Stayed the same weight as last week but I’m convinced the heat plays a part in that - well, that’s my story and I’m sticking to it !

Apprenante · 16/08/2026 15:10

I'm taking comfort from your opinions about heat and weight @ElsieJay and @DBatteryBand. I've gained 2lb this week - still within my maintenance limits - and I'd like to think it's temperature related. Nothing to do with the bread and cakes I've eaten.

My ramble - please feel free to ignore.
DD had her first treatment on Thursday and has had the usual reactions - same as with chemo. She looks on the side effects as positives because (in her head) it shows that the immunotherapy is working. Weekly injections of increasing doses for the first 8 weeks i think then fortnightly then monthly for - I hope - ever and ever.
