I called at the chemist today and they were doing free blood pressure checks. Last year it was sky high, today it was a very healthy, normal result.

Megsdaughter · 05/06/2026 00:37

Went up a dose from 1.0mg to 1.7mg (wegovey) and was suddenly very nauseous. Didnt feel like eating at all then after 24 hours threw up.

Havnt had any real side effects before apaet from constipation. So this week I counted clicks so I only had 1.0mg and threw up my lunch then my dinner. Think I may have to go two weeks before next jab and let my body calm down.

Its awful because I threw up my pain meds so now all my body hurts as well.

ElsieJay · 05/06/2026 14:14

Stayed the same this week , which I guess is good in that I’m maintaining ( currently 16 days without MJ ) but I had hoped for a loss, as had upped my water and walking.
Ah well !
That sounds grim, @Megsdaughter - sending virtual 💐. How long have you been taking Wegovy ?
Great BP result, @Gingercar - another NSV to chalk up.

It doesn’t always come off immediately, perhaps next week.. How come you want to lose more?

Hope you are in less pain @Megsdaughter

ElsieJay · 05/06/2026 20:40

Hi @Gingercar - I’m actually spot on my official WW target weight of 9st 12lbs - but the week I got to goal back in January I’d had a bit of a woosh and was 9st 8lbs .
So I’d have preferred to have been a tad nearer that, now we’re this close to holiday - but it’s not all the world . I don’t think I’d be able to maintain 9st 8lbs without regular jabbing of 5mg ( or possibly more ) - and financially , and to a degree mentally , that’s not really sustainable .

SignedUpAgain · 06/06/2026 09:27

I’m still hovering between 88-88 kg which I think is around 13 stone
been this way for 4-6 weeks. Frustrating.

this has me around size 14-16 in next/ M&S / Tu for clothes. Although still quite big bust.

idk maybe I’m a lot heavier than I look. Getting a lot of compliments and comments. I know they mean well and some just say you’re looking well which is nicer than have you lost a lot of weight!

I feel so much better and have more energy for tennis/ walking. And slightly less self conscious.

my initial target was around 11 stone i think but now I’m. It sure.

im only 5’6” so don’t really know what the target or range would be.

at my lightest in my 20s I’d have been around 9 stone / 58kg but that was not sustainable for me and I was doing a lot of exercise. I’d have been more comfortable even then, a few kg heavier.

DBatteryBand · 06/06/2026 09:43

@SignedUpAgain I feel your pain. I am about the same height, weight and clothes size and going nowhere fast. I was aiming for about 11 st 7 lbs as goal but at this rate I'll be 89 years old and bankrupt before I get there.

Gained 1lb this week - not sure why. Biscuit consumption has been well down and I was hoping for movement on the scales. Missing those heady days of merrily dropping 2lbs a week, every week.

Megsdaughter · 06/06/2026 11:28

Feeling a lot better today. Been on Wegovey 6 months @ElsieJay. Hopefully things will settle down now.

Gingercar · 06/06/2026 11:40

@DBatteryBand and @SignedUpAgain im with you too. I’ve not lost a lot over the past two months, probably 3-4lbs, if that. It is frustrating. But I’m fitting really comfortably into size 14s, occasionally something 12, and I look reasonably slim. I’m feeling good and getting lots of compliments. And overall I’m nearing the -5 stones mark. So I think I’m just going to sit it out. I’m eating quite a lot, albeit healthy food.

I’ve gradually reduced from 12.5mg to 9 and will do 8mg next, I’m gradually reducing. So far haven’t had any difference in how I feel or am eating. But I’ve always had hunger and haven’t got full. So that is feeling good. I feels positive that I can carry on when the pen runs out.

Kipperandarthur · 06/06/2026 12:12

@ DBattery, SignedUp and Ginger
I'm with you all too hovering around the 87/88 kg mark and struggling to get it lower. Have had to reduce to 10mg as the 12.5mg was not agreeing with me and I'm going on holiday soon for 3 weeks and know that I can manage on 10mg fine.

Planning to hit right back up to 12.5mg at end of July when back off holiday and really need that final push to get somewhere down to 12 stone or ideally 11.5 stone.

But it's difficult to assess what is realistic now that I've lost 4.5 stone on WLI and a further 1.5 stone myself prior to starting.

I had happily lost weight at the 1lb or so a week with some 2 lbs and not tracking calories but just being generally aware.

My problem is that I really seem to have developed a sweet tooth and crave chocolate or something sweet after dinner and I keep caving into this.

I have though also given up alcohol and vaping due to a health condition (oral cancer) so am trying to be kindish to myself accepting that doing three things all at once and succeeding at them is quite an achievement.

But it's apparent that from Christmas onwards it's become harder to get those 1lb losses each week/fortnight.

I'm also going to purchase 15mg on my next pen as eligible to do so and click count to get the dose I want as this will save some money. I did think I was going to be at least a stone lighter at this point.

Gingercar · 06/06/2026 13:05

I did too. At Xmas my app that I log my weight loss on was saying I’d be at target by March. Now it’s saying October!

@Kipperandarthur its a major NSV that you’ve given up alcohol and vaping, and had to deal with an illness - to have not lost the plot and put on is really good.

I find grapes and Greek yogurt seem to qwell my sweet cravings. Still sugar but healthy. I do occasionally have chocolate. Ice cream was my weakness during that hot spell!

Apprenante · 08/06/2026 21:43

It's been very quiet over the weekend. I hope everyone's OK?

I'm in Anglesey this week. I just need to say Welsh cakes, bara brith, cheese and wine - and you'll get the picture. On the other hand im walking a lot. I hope that's keeping the pounds at bay but i suspect it isn't. .

ElsieJay · 09/06/2026 02:35

My grandmother was born in Anglesey, @Apprenante , and her first language was Welsh. I’ve never visited the island, sadly.
Im awake at this early hour as we have a 7.30 flight to Cyprus, will be in touch as much as I can .

Apprenante · 09/06/2026 10:10

Have a great time with your family in the sunshine @ElsieJay!

Gingercar · 09/06/2026 10:32

Happy holidays to you both!

SussexLass87 · 09/06/2026 14:21

Happy holidays to you! 🥳

ElsieJay · 09/06/2026 15:49

Thank you all ! Arrived safely , internet working at the moment, but tv not for some reason . Doesn’t bother me at all, but DH whinging ( hot and tired , but really don’t need a toddler tantrum on Day 1 …..). 😎😎

Apprenante · 09/06/2026 19:21

Toddler tantrum rings bells with me @ElsieJay . He's probably overtired. Put him to bed. 😁

SutekhsEars · 09/06/2026 20:13

I'm still titrating down - I can feel the food noise coming back but it's mostly manageable. I ate all the carbs at the weekend though - I'm cutting out caffeine so I felt I deserved them! On the whole I feel better for reducing caffeine, but oh my! The headache!

Gingercar · 10/06/2026 15:55

I feel like having a toddler tantrum - one pound every two or three weeks is soul destroying! 🙁. I mean it’s not going up, I guess, particularly as I’m titrating down, but gah!

Tempting ! 🤣🤣
We’d both had a long day, to be fair - today was much better. 10 hours of sleep probably helped……

@Gingercar : it’s tough isn’t it - think we all became addicted to the certainty of losing 2- 3 lbs week after week. Sending a hug of support !

I know exactly how you feel. I cried on Saturday when, after weeks of the scales not going anywhere, they showed a 1lb gain. I’ve got a weird body dysmorphia thing happening, too, where I look in the mirror and don’t really see that I’ve lost weight. It’s very odd. I notice it when I look at old photos, but not when I look in the mirror, and despite going from a size 22/24 to a size 14.

Maybe it’s brought on by a biscuit deficiency.

Gingercar · 11/06/2026 06:58

I’m off to Bramham horse trials today. Last year when I went I’d just started and had lost 9lbs in two weeks. This year I’ve lost 2lbs in the last nine weeks! 😢

Apprenante · 11/06/2026 09:35

But @Gingercar just think of the overall loss you've achieved. How much more do you want to lose?

Gingercar · 11/06/2026 11:28

Probably just another sftone. Technically 1.5-2 stones to get to normal bmi.

I know, overall it’s all good. Just frustrating, I thought I’d have finished by now. And I’ve probably spent £500 on pens over the last three months for at most a half a stone loss!
