Ive had been stuck at 13st 2lb for 3 weeks and thought I'd never get into the 12stones. Then this week dropped 5lb ! Not sure how but it did feel good.

We are off to Cyprus in September and tge goal is to be in the 11stones by then. It will put me in the overweight catagory rather than the obese and will be at least 8 stone lost. Then its being sensible on holiday so that I dont put any back on as im not taking my pen with me.

A big family wedding on Christmas Eve and I would like to be in a 14 by then if possible. A 18 is just beginning to get baggy on me now.

Megsdaughter · 30/05/2026 14:15

*18 mean a 16, still can believe Im that small.

HereIGoOnceMore · 30/05/2026 14:32

Congratulations @SussexLass87 you look stunning - what a lovely photo.

Gingercar · 30/05/2026 22:00

That’s a fabulously rewarding whoosh @Megsdaughter. I could do with one of those! It’s been a long plateau for me with a little whoosh a couple of weeks ago.

You did look lovely @SussexLass87. Did you have a good day?

I’ve had a really busy week in the sun. Working unfortunately. Can’t wait for the kids to go back so I return to just working weekends!

Great loss, @Megsdaughter !
It’s a good feeling to drop into the next stones bracket .

DBatteryBand · 31/05/2026 09:18

@Megsdaughter That's brilliant news!

You must be so ready for a break @Gingercar - has it been busy for your cafe?

It was a lovely day thanks - very proud of DH and always a bonus to see him in full uniform 😍

He's lost nearly 2 stone on MJ too and said the uniform was much comfier than usual 🤣

Wow what an achievement!!

Apprenante · 31/05/2026 23:14

Great result @Megsdaughter ! You're doing so well.

Gingercar · 02/06/2026 21:57

Evening. How are you all doing? After my couple of lb loss over the last week, I seem to have levelled off again!
But I have dropped my dose from 12.5mg to 10mg to 9mg and spaced them out to nine or ten days apart, and haven’t felt any difference so far. The plan is to drop a mg a week. I’m not quite sure how long this pen will last like that. I need to do the maths! Edited - I think I should be able to gradually get down to 2.5 and stay at that for a while, plus I’ve got another 2.5 pen. So I might be on it for the whole summer!

HKG · 02/06/2026 23:23

Hey! waves at all how’s everyone doing? Bit quiet on here so I thought I’d say hi though I have nothing interesting to say 🤣🤣

@Gingercar loving the mini whoosh! Fingers crossed for a week on week off kinda deal! Is work better now that the kids have gone back? Hope you’re managing a break!

I’ve just come off four weeks of hard core work and we celebrated with a much heavier night than usual on Sunday night and I’m still paying the price! 2lb gained that won’t go away after two days of careful and water glugging. Urgh. Or it’s because I’ve gone down to 5mg and I ca feel the snacks starting to sneak in. I’m already considering if I should up it again to lose more for a bigger buffer…

SussexLass87 · 03/06/2026 07:48

Hiya @HKG

That's so frustrating when you have a bit of a celebration and relax a little and then you're paying for it for days after.

I'm sure our bodies react so differently to others who don't struggle with their weight!

Does anyone else do low FODMAP? We're just starting and dipping toes in. But already seeing results.

Hope that you're all having a good week so far!

HKG · 03/06/2026 08:32

Thanks @SussexLass87, i knew this was the group to come to for some understanding. xx

off to look up FODMAP now!

Edit to say: I’ve not tried FODMAP but my best mate did when they thought she had IBS and it turned out through that they tested for Coeliacs and that what it was. I understand it is super helpful for diagnosis?

Gingercar · 03/06/2026 09:10

@HKG it’s probably just coincidence that you’ve put the lbs on. I’ve been up 3lbs for the past four days for absolutely no reason. Then today the 3lbs has gone along with another lb. There’s just no logic to it all!

Ive never tried FODMAP but it would probably suit my husband, who has a stoma. It’s interesting that apples are on the no list, because he has just said recently that he thinks apples flare things up for him. Personally I don’t want to limit anything or follow any particular rules/diet if at all possible. But that’s just me.

Apprenante · 03/06/2026 10:04

Oh @HKG people always say 'trust the system' so if you're drinking lots of water and prioritising protein it should all go soon. Protein is supposed to stop you feeling hungry so you don't want to snack. Cottage cheese by the bucket load isn't very appealing though.
And @Gingercar is absolutely right - weight goes up and down very weirdly at times. A wooooosh is on it's way to you.

Gingercar · 03/06/2026 11:12

Ooh I love cottage cheese, but it has to be Longley farm full fat!

DBatteryBand · 03/06/2026 13:12

Thank you for the timely reminder, @Apprenante. I was just sitting here having a bit of a grump about hitting a plateau, with a mug of tea in front of me and three bourbons a biscuit to hand. I have put the contraband back in the tin and poured myself a large glass of water.

Apprenante · 03/06/2026 21:23

I agree - but I still don't want to eat bucketfuls. I get through a pot every week. Currently mixing it with a very herby homemade coleslaw instead of mayonnaise. Fairly yummy.

I keep seeing recipes for cottage cheese pancakes. Has anyone tried them?

ElsieJay · 04/06/2026 08:27

Morning all !

@Apprenante - I tried a WW recipe for “American style pancakes” with cottage cheese, banana and porridge oats - but wasn’t overly impressed.
I now use an alternative WW one using banana and peanut butter powder which is lovely, but no cottage cheese involvement.
There was someone in our workshop who’d used it to make ice cream.

I haven’t jabbed for two weeks now, and we will soon be away for five weeks ( not intending to take pen ) so it’s all down to willpower at the moment. Not helped by having biscuits in the house for the chaps doing some work on the garden …. sadly I haven’t your strength, @DBatteryBand 🙄.
Have two unopened 5mg pens stashed in the fridge for our return, have a feeling I will need them.
Onwards (and very possibly upwards for me at least ) to a summer of “joining in the fun”.
Despite the rain we have this morning !

Kbr22 · 04/06/2026 11:11

Over the moon, just hit goal, this morning 59.5 and goal was 60kg. BMI 24, it has been a long slog but so worth it. All your support has been amazing, let’s keep it off now! I do have a buffer of a couple of kgs., so hopefully this will do. I will start to titrate down now. I am really hoping that you will all get to whatever goal you have all set for yourselfs, we are all different, I am happy with a size 12 down from an 18, and did think I would stop at 14 but decided to keep going xxx
