lechatnoir · 11/04/2026 19:16

I’ve finally taken the plunge and just ordered Wegovy from Asda pharmacy. All been well it should be ready for collection on Tuesday so it would be great to hear from anyone else who has just started or is about start their WLI/Weygovy journey.
I’m very nervous and haven’t told anyone, but I’ve just failed at my 3rd diet attempt this year and feeling horribly self-conscious about my weight and dreading the summer so just thought fuck it, I’m going to give it a go.

@Rockdaylia44 3 weeks in, zero unwanted side effects. Just a really lovely non hungry satisfied with smaller portions feeling.
as above 10 lbs down in 3 weeks. I’m now turning my attention to my everyday fitness level.

BreakingBroken · 10/05/2026 18:44

@Rockdaylia44 i do want to add that in no way am I food repulsed or have a visceral reaction to eating.
Yesterday at the farmers market, dh presented me with a lovely cold brew coffee that was 1/3 33% not whipped CREAM. I enjoyed it thoroughly.
My point is, I could easily be tempted with calorie dense foods and old routines (bakery treat at 2 pm coffee break), or evening tele chips. But right now I’m encouraged and focused.

itsallabouttobegin · 10/05/2026 21:29

@BreakingBroken you have described how I feel perfectly! I could eat anything I want and don’t feel overly full whilst eating or like I couldnt continue, but I’m motivated and more easily satisfied with smaller portions and healthier options as

BreakingBroken · 10/05/2026 21:38

@itsallabouttobegin it has me wondering is post WLI would hypnotherapy help? I’m clearly seeing that part of my eating pattern is similar portions to DH, and that most of the time my mind is saying I must eat vs true hunger discomfort, which thankfully I don’t know if I’ve ever experienced as lack of food is not something I’ve experienced.

lechatnoir · 11/05/2026 14:32

Glad to hear there’s some great losses happening.

Still little to report here - no side affects no obvious suppression or change in motivation etc so have just forked out for another 4 rounds at an increase to 0.5mg (& hefty price increase to £140!). I’ll keep going for the four full weeks, so fingers crossed I just need this next dose up to kickstart things. I’m generally trying to be pretty good, but as I’ve always found I have three days over the weekend where is always goes wrong and I can put on whatever I’ve lost during the week.

@lechatnoir i had hoped things had improved for you. Yes, good plan to try the higher dose.

I’m with you - clearly I’m a slow responder. I jumped up to .5 after 2 weeks on .25 but 5 weeks in, eating well, exercising, and still only 2.5 kg down. I’m tantalisingly near to the next stone down but it may well take me months to get there.
at least I’m not overeating I guess.

Ibwah · 11/05/2026 22:20

@lechatnoir i am counting down the days until I can go up a dose. I weighed myself this morning and looks like I’ve lost 0.5lb this week. I did my third jab this evening. I stir fried some veg to mix with some ham tomorrow. A colleague of mine came into work today and it was obvious that she’d lost some weight (I only see her every few months) and she had lunch with us - carrot and cucumber sticks with a dip. I really wanted to ask her if she was on WLI so we could have a good natter but we both just sat there eating our vegetables.

lechatnoir · 12/05/2026 22:08

@cafenoirbiscuit glad it’s not just me ! I got my 0.5mg pen but nervous about side effects so click-counted to 0.4mg - if still nothing by next week I’ll increase to the full 0.5mg but if it’s enough that’s 5 doses instead of 4 so I’d be very happy with that.

Hi ladies, just ordered these today after considering weight loss injections for a long time. I really want to give this a try 🙏🤞

RaelImperialAerosolKid · 13/05/2026 07:53

Morning everyone jab and weight day - I’m 1st 6lbs down since we started. And people are noticing which is good. The biggest change for me is the ability to refuse food when I’m not hungry. I went out with my sister and she wanted some fast food - normally I would have eaten with her but I was physically unable to eat.
I’m thinking that this is how naturally thin people are all the time.
I am also noticing how bombarded we are by food advertising- I can now ignore it but people don’t stand a chance on will power alone.

VividDeer · 13/05/2026 08:06

My weight is static at the moment but period due. So I know if might drop next week.
After my messed up jab I did have increased appetite monday and admit I enjoyed a carb heavy day. Jacket potatoe then pasta for tea. I quite enjoyed that I could do it.

At end of first pen there was a tiny bit left over. So I injected it for good measure.

@RaelImperialAerosolKid amazing loss 👏
A friend noticed I'd lost weight and said my arse looked smaller 😅 i have been dieting since January though, so only about 7lbs is down to wegovy. But 1 stone 3lbs overall.

Pairymoppins · 13/05/2026 08:29

Final 0.25 jab for me today and still on 2lb weight loss overall. Pretty disappointed. I am moving up to 0.5 next week and will review after another month.

Ibwah · 13/05/2026 19:16

@Pairymoppins if my new scales are to be believed, I am down 3lb in 3 weeks. I am going up to 0.5 as soon as I can!

BreakingBroken · 13/05/2026 21:31

@Ibwah i know we’ve discussed this but have you looked at getting a smart scale?
Currently my weight is stable (although I’ve lost well the last 3 weeks) I’m equally focused on my low fitness and hydration.
Prior to WLI, I was a pound a week person and it was a long hard slog. Too hard to maintain motivation beyond reaching goal weight.

itsallabouttobegin · 13/05/2026 21:45

Is anyone else feeling cold? I know the rubbish weather isn’t helping but my husband and kids have commented on how cold my hands and nose feel. I couldn’t get warm all day after the school run and have got my big coat back out 🥶

BreakingBroken · 13/05/2026 21:56

@itsallabouttobegin no more than usual for me, but i do think it's a common complaint. maybe from decreased calories?

DreamingOfGeneHunt · 14/05/2026 08:05

Did my 3rd jab yesterday morning and felt rubbish all day- hungry and exhausted. Ended up eating about 2500 calories (not the end of the world, not even diet-ruining, but I feel very annoyed with myself)

I think I've got a cold and am just run down. Going to try to stick to calories today and get some flu remedy!

I'm cold, but I think the weather where I am isn't helping. Heating still on in May

Ibwah · 15/05/2026 08:36

Hello! @lechatnoir have you done the higher dose yet? I have ordered 0.5 and have 1 more 0.25 to go. I am eager to love up. I have stuck with Lotus, although it would be cheaper to go to medicine marketplace.

VividDeer · 15/05/2026 09:12

I was really suffering with stomach acid yesterday. I have found this my main side effect. Better today after omeprezole.
Usually I can manage on rennies.
Considering sticking on 0.25 but gradually bringing the doses closer together.
Will see what next week's loss is.

Ibwah · 15/05/2026 09:52

@VividDeer omeprazole works best if you take it in the morning everyday. It is not like gaviscon or rennie in that it doesn’t neutralise the acid so will often not relieve if very acidy.
i am determined to have a good week! Going on holiday over half term but staying in a cottage so will have a lot of control over food. My main issue is I’m currently injured as have a foot injury from running. Haven’t run for almost 5 weeks and it’s horrible!

VividDeer · 15/05/2026 11:46

@Ibwah you are right. I do need to take it daily. Just ordered in bulk and also needles from Oxford pharmacy.

GP didn't like me on omeprezole full time, but necessary at this point!

jabsahoy · 15/05/2026 11:52

turns out last week's sickness must have been a bug as wiped out the kids who then took it to the exs and knocked him out too!

Anyway today's 6th jab and 2lb off since last Friday, in all 8lb down after 5 weeks, another lower bmi number reached. A nsv is all trousers worn this week have been comfier too. I had initially wanted to be 28lb down by the summer hols but think that might be a bit ambitious, having said that my 2nd pen is 0.25mg too so might think about upping it for the next order.

Ibwah · 15/05/2026 14:20

@jabsahoy 8lb is a great start. I think my issue is that I am comparing how I felt when on Mounjaro - it was so much stronger. Could easily have gone a whole day without eating but with this I am snacky and I hope it improve when I go on 0.5mg
